13:20 That piece of lumber was placed there by the tow truck driver to help stabilize the truck while it was being towed. The tow truck driver accidentally left it there, usually they take the lumber off the vehicle and stow it on their truck for future use with other vehicles.
In the first Peterbuilt - The rock was likely to allow the tow truck to get clearance to offload. The board was probably left behind by the tow truck. The caps inside were from the driveshaft, which was disconnected at the rear axle for towing.
13:27 the wood in front of the Semi is used to protect the vehicle during towing. Especially if they do an underlift from the front with their tow truck. And the parts inside are the the parts from when they took the driveshaft off to tow it which is basically almost mandatory on all trucks especially automatics
That is a staircase from an airport, the part without the wheels on it swung round 180° and bolted onto the part with the wheels, it's for airport workers to access heights and F.O.D stands for Foreign Object Debris.
Hi Randy, the staircases at 11:00 are for unloading aircraft. Probably used at small or medium sized airport for smaller aircraft. F.O.D. is Foreign Object Debris. F.O.D. can be rocks, garbage, loose items, or anything that can be sucked into a jet engine. This is a major concern for expensive jet engines. A small piece of debris or F.O. D. can cause millions of dollars of damage to an aircraft and cause loss of life.
On the Peterbilt, the blocks under the wheels are to make it easier for the tow truck to get the underlift under the front axle. The caps you found inside are from the u joint in the driveshaft removes for towing.
Randy the white thing looks like boarding stairs. The garbage truck looks like a hydrolic fire, she's sprung a leak onto something hot an caught fire. Cheers mate
Around the 13 min mark the rock was put there on newer lower rigs cant get the tow truck out. So they put it up on something to get towbar out. Then those caps are the ujoint caps they disconnect the drive shaft to not mess up the driveline while being towed unless towing backwards most tow companies will undo the drive shaft...
18:30 (In the voice of Beavis, which I'll be happy to do for you when/if we meet) ... "I need TP…… TP for my bunghole!… I am ... the GREAT CORNHOLIO!!"
The rocks under the wheel (s) allow the tow apparatus to slide out from under the axel... they pull the drive line to tow the truck and not damage the transmission.
If this is your last walkaround for the year I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year and thank you for all the walkaround you’ve done this year really enjoyed them all thank you
The wood under the front of the gray peterbilt is for towing purposes so that they don't cause damage to the front end. The other pieces inside that look like caps and bolts came from the drive shaft. They have to remove the driveshaft or they will cause damage to the driveline and the transmission.
Thanks for showing us the Porsche. The police Tahoe is not 911 because it's a campus tel #. All the gear was left because as totalled they got to buy all new replacements. That is a relatively inexpensive light bar & control. Not surprising for a campus dept. Motorola radio not pulled surprised me. Maybe it's not an expensive model. If loaded with options the radio can cost $6000. Radios can be disabled remotely from their radio system. All the gear in our cars was about $ 40,000. We reused our gear many times before replacement.
I wonder if I'm the first European to comment? If not, bugger!! Hahahaha! Keep up the great work Randy!! Good luck with the AAR garage. PS. It's not boring to us regulars. Have a great December folks. Cheers from the UK. :)
The rock was placed to get the tow truck forks or chains out. The board was from the tow truck. The bearing caps go to u-joint removed by tow operator in order to tow it.
Randy, you've got to get that MACU Police vehicle. "It's got a cop motor, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks", according to my cousin Elwood.
Those are U-JOINT CAPS the took the DRIVE SHAFT OFF so they could TOW it it most likely has an AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION regardless of what kind of TRANSMISSION it has a TOW DRIVER is going to DROP THE DRIVE SHAFT before towing it so there you have it
That was a brake fire on the trash truck. Also been OTR for 20 years and the parts you found in that magnificent Pete is from the tow company dropping the driveshaft to tow it. on a side note... I enjoy Westin Champlin Content way more than the Goozquad. Westin doesnt have to pay anyone to do the tough work for him on big jobs and goonzquad would prefer to pay others for the tough work.
For those semi trucks just push the clutch in and try starting it I drive these semi trucks for a living it’s not that scary and those peterbilts and kenworths don’t loose value but expensive to fix and maintain
That garbage truck was either a electrical fire or brake fire with the brakes we have and the wieght of the vehicles the brakes can catch fire. The reason I think this is the fire looks above rear tires from what I seen...
Ive had many SuperDutys and travel trailers. I assure you, the 5th wheel trailer will pull much better with the F250 than the bumper pull. 5th wheels pull smooth as silk vs the bumper pull yanking and pushing on the truck. The stairs/platform is an airplane / passenger unloader / loader. As for the police Tahoe, owners install much better cross members and frame sections everyday. The Tahoe would be the best buy of the walk around. Get yourself a lift kit crossmember and fab it in. Super stiff and handle like its on rails.
Randy the big rigs are a great add to the channel would like to see the milage on them if you have a chance to look keep up the good work love the change

Randy I think what happened to that Durango Trailer was they filled there black tank, (tank for toilet, and sink waste) and that what caused it to flood
I just came to this video to see if my nissan was in there, I got into my accident, November 26th 2019. Did you happen to see a old black, 05 nessan altima while you were walking around looking at the carnage? I ask because I live in okc, so if it would be anywhere it would be in there.
Randy at 10:11 the white ramp things you saw are look like they are from an airplane company. It looks like what they use to bring snacks and food and Drinks onto a plane or something along those lines.
what is the model of the ray bans you are wearing. they look wide... maybe you have a big dome like me. ...hard to find shades that don't press my temples. thanks!
they remove the prop shaft so it does not wined the gear box up as some boxes have a oil pump in them that drives through the clutch shaft or if automatic the torque converter
For the piece of that item that you were wondering with the white stairs it's to put up to a airplane to get passengers off the airplane staircase for the airport
for that last travel trailer.. I'd try to view the top but if the membrane got ripped its totaled in the eyes of insurance because it would be a full re-roof.. for a DIYer , Eturnabond tape fixes it.. its the same story as cars with insurance and trailers.. they have to make it new again.. for you and me we can fix it to our satisfaction.
Chances are that the toilet in the fifth wheel stuck open and the water kept running filling up the black water tank until it over flowed out the toilet and the owners were away or asleep. Really bad if your hooked up to a water tap in a camp ground. Never ending supply of water.

For the piece of that item that you were wondering with the white stairs it's to put up to a airplane to get passengers off the airplane staircase for the airport
Airplane escalator.. Used on small airports to get on/off passengers 2nd piece is for luggage
Possibly driveshaft caps, the driveshaft has 2 be removed in some trucks if being towed
The pete the board is used for towing and the caps are for the drive shaft
Next time stand in the bed rail of the pickup to see the top of the camper, that what I do when a customer buy one from Insurance lot
the part on the ground goes on top of the part you climbed.. its a portable staircase .. might be for boarding a small commercial jet.
lol you got to the other side, yep a staircase for a jet
Those stairs don't just end. That other part goes on top. They just took it apart for transportation. For airports.

20:50, A few days ago i saw a Ford transit pulling a huge caravan, don't know how.
Randy those stair are from an airport they get wheeled up to a plane to load and unload passangers
Those are fedex crew stairs used to pull up to the plane you hook it with a tug and pull up
Jerry Reed also said "Dang Son" in Smokey and the Bandit.
Your F250 would pull that 5th wheel trailer just fine!
Are stairs for ships. Giving access from harbour level dock to ship upper ship door.
The police truck maybe you can turn it into a "AAR-MOBILE!" :-) (Sorry Tyler, if you're watching & viewing the comments :-)
No cigarette Tim.
That looks like chemical reaction.
Maybe linseed oil, electrical, or spray cans.
The block is used for towing and those are end caps for a universal
Dang son is from goonsquad I watch them all the time they are rebuilding a Ford F-350 dually
Movable stairs (construction) + anything hard to reach in height.
