I think genshin impact is becoming the default extreme gaming test for phones now 😂
Genshin Impact is like the new measurement of how good your phone is now
Best settings for actual enjoyable gameplay from a flagship device are:
Low graphics 60 fps to play smooth
High graphics 30 fps to enjoy graphics
@@albinocake or if you want to cook fried eggs on your phone's back after 10 minutes
actually i do all high settings and 60fps but you need cold room or phone cooler haha
Just got the Poco F3, and all I can say is.. amazing. Never appreciated Genshin this much before. The cut scenes are smooth and I no longer need to endure the pain of having to experience a frozen cut scenes. Ugh.
May I ask of you could run Tales of Crestoria just to see if it is able to run smoothly and highest and medium settings? Would really appreciate it.
@@elijahlee9379 I'm sorry but I don't play any games aside from Genshin. I don't know if it can.
@jotaro kujo no. It doesn't. If I'm not using it, I turn the ultra battery saving mode something.this feature is insane for me, your battery will remain full if you are just meticulous on conserving it when it's not in use.
60fps with medium graphic is the best option for every flagship phone
the dimming is actually to minimize the AMOLED burn
@@EscortaBayu now with Xiaomi eu rom v12.5.4.0 (best EU rom) working all good fortunately... But on a stock rom I dont know...
I see how hard work you are putting to upload these vids.. Mad respect for you frankie❤️
Please include fps meter in every gaming test like geekbench
It will really help a lot😃
@@FrankieTech you can enable "Show Refresh Rate" in the Developer Option. It will show FPS in green colour. Maybe you can try it.
How about using a fun cooler on both phones? Is there a difference?
Shocking results again! 😯😯
Thank you for these tests Frankie👍👍
All the best my friend 💛
Thanks for the video I was considering buying Poco f3 because of the snapdragon 870 but it seems the Poco X3 pro is better ,thanks a lot
Moral of the story.... The Devs need to do some optimization for Genshin Impact so it doesn't become a "can it run crysis" kind of deal 😂
or you can use gaming rom like Corvus OS to improve the performance of the device, MIUI destroying the gaming performance of this device even in gaming mode, i see even snapdragon 650 having good performance on high setting with Corvus OS, what more with the snapdragon 870 on this device..
@@Molacules yeah, it is mostly miui problem. But, genshin impact has its fair share of poor optimization.
@@Molacules how much difference on gaming you see between curvos os and miui rom on poco f3?
I mean fps and phone temp as you feel the temp in your hand.
@@Molacules unfortunatelly , at least on our country the garanty avoid after flashing custom rom as I know.( In the some or most of the countries I think like this)
Oh damn last time I checked you had like 20k subscribers now almost 200k nice bro(:
with better heavy gaming performance+audio jack+ fairly same camera output I think poco x3 pro's the real champion here with its price to performance ratio, great review! really helped me make the decision of what to get! thanks!!!
Love the review it looks like your a professional voice actor...
Honest & trustworthy insight review! Poco F3 indeed has serious display throttling! this also confirm by Chris from Techtablets, thanks for clearing up,
Exactly. So not only for gamers, also for normally users this phone is unusual!
After short time making a video outside in the sun it's getting so much dimming that you can recognize nothing.
Why i need a phone with over 600000 antutu points when I see nothing while gaming? And why I need a display with over 1000 nits of brightness when it's dimming down nearly to zero?
High nit brightness is seemingly becoming a gimmick now like how super fast charger are paired with high capacity battery just to compensate the increased battery wear the fast charger brings
Genshin Impact clearly the best extreme gaming test on mobile devices lololol, amazing video bro! Both of this phones just did a great job for the price they cost
as someone who plays games in a dark room, lower temps, higher fps > Brighter display.
These phones are so 🔥, that they raised the temperature in your room circa 2 degrees!
thank you frankie for this video.
Some phones use the display to dissipate heat, if the phone overheats, the system automatically dims the screen so that the heat does not damage it. But I'm not sure if that's the case with this phone.
Hey Frankie You Can Enable Fps metre from Developer option in MiUi ... it would be really great for us ... Love Your Videos
As always ,great video Frankie! ..🌹
Didn't know about that "feature" on amoled screens! Thanks you very much! :)
I'm from Moscow. Thank you for this video dear friend, on April 1, at the Aliexpress sale, I ordered a Pro X3 Pro 8/256gb and I definitely do not regret anything. I don't really plan to play on it, for this I have a good gaming PC)), but I may occasionally run something, without fanaticism). The amoled screen and dark themes are a pain for my eyes, as well as support for microsd cards up to 1TB-I think a big plus. Well, the protection of the glass Gorilla Glass 6, after all, it will definitely not be worse from it). In general, I'm waiting for my X3 Pro on 256 GB and I'm very happy about it. Thanks again for the review, friend!
@@younesshirzad6111 My eyes hurt from amoled screens and dark themes. Everything is cool on IPS.
Dimming is not only to lower temp, also saving oled from burn-in issue.
These are my main update options so this video is a great help.
With the dry season in the PH, I wouldn't even dare to max the graphics settings for my upcoming F3 anytime soon. 😅
Wow, I wasn't expecting that one at all. I guess I'll save the money and grab the X3 Pro then. What's the point of a better CPU and screen if it's just going to go dark when you play games on it? Chris @ TechTablets also found that it did the same thing when taking photos and video. That's a bummer.
I would really appreciate it if you test poco f3 in abyss wherein you need to do combos because animations there is much heavy so we can see if they can handle it :)
Anyways good review, thanks for that!
i'm glad i found your channel omgggggg!
It would be better if you enable FPS meter
After recent Miui update its available in Developer Option
Thank you for adding an Arabic translation
never losse any frankie tech video!❤
Highest setting on Genshin impact is the ultimate challenge for any smartphone. Without any cooling system like ROG phone (build in fan) or external cooling fan accessories attached at the back, it will either drop frame in games / screen brightness dim down / phone temperature Burn through the sky high. The poco F3 choose option 2 (dim down the screen brightness ) while the x3 pro choose option 3 and let the player and the battery feel the heat ( heat is not good for battery health).
Hey Frankie, can we request a battery drain test? I read some reviews POCO F3 has a pretty bad battery life.
POCO F3 4520 Mah BETTER than POCO X3 PRO 5160 Mah battery drainness
After the new update the battery become more optimized and the device likely good for me
Did you just turn on the auto colour screen mode? Because my phone have this settings and it changed my screen brightness when it start to get hot. But when I turn it off, the screen did not dimmed at all. Can you check it out for the Poco F3?
Hey Frankie
thank you for making this video after reading my comment T_T
you deserve an Oscar :D
Very Happy to see you update this video with Genshin impact..!!! The result is nice..!! #Respect 🙏🏻 Good job..👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊
Try to remove the wifi auto search in configuration. My poco x3 nfc was heating a lot before that. Maybe the new x3 pro and f3 is that too
Could you perhaps consider an emulation test for various Playstation, and Nintendo emulators on the SD 860 and 870 devices please?Awesome videos btw.
Ps1 and nintendo ds are playable on SD835.. as long as you get SD 800variants, above of 835.. you good to go...
Would've been better if you had venti . Since his ult mixed with electro reaction on some hirlchurls can really Frick the fps ,
Thanks you just post the right video
Just what I needed 😊
Battery and drain test pls and also don't forget to rest:)
Agreed! I want to see which one will be KO first when playing game and what difference time before KO on both..
Even rog5 with 6000mah can only last 4hrs max settings in genshin impact 100-0%
wow this will result to shocking drop sales for poco f3
The real beast dimmer phone in 2021, ill think again if im buying this phone
And don't let anyone tell you it doesn't dim when you disable auto brightness, these idiots don't know what they're talking about
idk why would you want it bright unless you're playing outside. your phone may suffer amoled burn issue if you constantly do this.
@@qud3913 So it has setting to disable auto brightness on F3, if so then im gonna buy POCO F3 for sure... It's kinda weird tho with the high price for F3, it shoudlve be able with such things XD
@@Vandy--
It has the setting to disable auto brightness, but the screen dimming is enforced (throttled) to protect the screen from high temperature..
The last few videos from Frankie tech with Poco F3 didn't exhibit this issue, maybe they fixed it with an update? Check the last few videos from Frankie and see if he talks about it being fixed..
Otherwise the screen will be a huge problem as it's the main component of the phone, and dimming after only 10-15 minutes of gaming is just unacceptable.
Are Ambient temp(external temp of the device) n,battery temp and cpu temp are 3 different things?Which one is the hottest?I use AccuBattery for my device and it show Battery temp. When the battery temp is around 40'C,the external temp of the device is extremely hot.
Best tech reviews man 🤙🏻 great videos tnx
Chipset manufactures can make more powerful chipset every year and they even can make them as powerful as they wish but the problem is phones manufactures are having a huge difficulty on how to cool it down because the more powerful the chipset is the more heat it generates
hey frankie does the poco f3 screen dimming problem is fixable ? can i just simply change the brightness to maximum all the time ?
Thanks for the comparison man! I wasn't sure which one to buy cos I read the F3 has battery issues. But I really want the Oled screen so thanks again man!
Shocking results because I was able to play 60FPS max settings on SD865 with a Regular 128/8GB Black Shark 3 without display dimming and thermal problems. Still using an Oppo Find X2 Pro. I'm gonna test it later.
Heyy Frankie, I'd like to ask, which variant of Poco X3 is that? 6/128 or 8/256? Idk if I may just have missed the info in your video or it's not really included, but an answer would be greatly appreciated!
Does the Poco F3 also dim on other applications or is it just in intense gaming situations like Genshin?
Please respond sir Frankie.
Does having a cooler ambient temperature or playing near an air conditioner will prevent the poco f3 from dimming?
Will that issue be fixed in a software update?
is there any option where you can disable that dimming? Thanks Frankie!
Could you play at 60 lowest low medium high and Highest next time and tell us how it does on each?
I have a OnePlus 8t so snapdragon 865, low 60 fps is smooth, medium 60 fps is smooth also but heat will be a bit annoying, high 60 fps is fine but frame drops and heating
Genshin impact is not a game it is a bench marking application 🤣🤣🤣
Could the fps dips be caused by bad optimization given these new processors (SD860 and 870) are fairly new? If so, game updates could potentially fix them, right? Also could you do a Fortnite comparison? I'm buying the F3 mainly to play Fortnite with my girlfriend, PC and Mobile.
Play games on low settings or have a burned and died inside phone. Thats the thing POCO F3 has understood as well. If you want graphics then go and play sth like PC, Phones are not designed to satisfy your transcendental desires. It can only give you a short and light experience of entertainment.
Genshin Impact on phones tend to stutter or frame drop when your ping spikes. This isn't the same case with the desktop version though. As long as you have a stable green ping, you WILL play without stuttering. Even a Redmi 9T 4/6gb can do 60fps at med settings.
Hi Frankie Tech! What do you think which device is worth buying comparing between Poco f3 or Xiaomi mi 10t?
Think that Honest review
I like your frankness
Frankie😎 tech🤘
I have Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and i have to lower to settings to the very low and there's still unbearable optimization issues and Mi Mix 2 also have a ceramic back and frames so if I don't use my cover it's difficult to hold and if i do it's easier for the heat to contain itself which heats up the phone even more, i see Poco 3 performance is better with stutters but i really wouldn't mind lowering the settings even lower from high to medium but not low and very low but i don't really like the screen quality of poco 3
Thank you so much sir! I was torn in either buying POCO X3 Pro or F3 as I can only afford either, and F3 is kinda abit much for my budget line, and now I've made up my mind on buying POCO X3 Pro
@@zsi404 yes, Google play store genshin can play medium 30 or lowest 60
While taptap genshin impact can play highest 60, I prefer playing it on medium 60 to lessen battery consumption
Getting a phone with this processor with amoled screen and stereo speakers for 300$ its sounds like a steal for me
I need to see the same video but with poco f3 vs mi 10t, can you do that please?
Do a battery drain test please 😃
Super❤️❤️
Thanks for doing it😌🙏
Suggestion : put the phone model/name everytime u change bcause sometimes i confused which phone u are playing.... Just put it like at the corner...btw nice vid👍🏻
How about the performance on mobile legends and wild rift on these phones and redmi note 10 pro?
I was holding off buying X3 Pro and waiting for F3. I have POCO F1 right now. After watching this video I'm like I don't even need to upgrade. I can play low/mid Genshin Impact easily on POCO F1. More easy on low tbh, but only reason I wanted to upgrade so I could play Genshin Impact 60 FPS. That isn't gonna happen after all. 😁
I believe it is due to content adaptive backlight enabled in these devices.
Hey Frankie, can you do a battery drain test for POCO F3? plsss thanks!
I'm going for Poco X3. I'm not really the "Play with maximum settings" type of player. As long as I can play the game even with medium to low graphics, I'm fine with it. But again, this is just my opinion.
Yes bruh, im going to buy poco x3 pro, and i will play genshin at low setting 30fps, as long it playable, and there is no stuttering, im fine with it. Actually i have a PC, but i can't bring my pc to workplace
70C is concerning. Does the high CPU temperature on the X3 Pro affect battery temperature as well?
Thanks for the review!
i was searching for this video
If played on low/medium graphics and 60 fps it maybe would be more stable
Medium + 60 FPS is the best experience on the Poco F3. I personally own one and it feels super smooth and comfortable to play with so the results on this video aren't really accurate, although it helped me to decide which phone I was going to buy.
Thank you so much to out me in the confusion of which one good for gaming ❤💙love from pakistan 🇵🇰
Just preorder f3,after 4months, finally bought a new phone, even i got daily fc,hang. Never wait so long to change phone, hopefully it worth it

@@johnmichaelpena927 You can go with Poco X3 Pro dude, I'm having realme 5 pro, I was talking about that bro 😅
Hi, how does F3 perform in direct sunlight with non gaming tasks? Considering buying and using it to fly my drone. I worry the screen would suddenly get very dark making it hard to fly the drone (DJI mini2)... Thanks
Thank you so much for this video 👍🏻👌🏻✌🏻
This is the problem between both devices which is the x3 pro is IPS LCD while the f3 has the amoled. You can see the difference between both devices. IPS LCD is better for gaming. AMOLED is not good for gaming and you'll encounter problems with it. If you're a gamer then choose X3 pro ☺️
I think playing at highest possible settings with 60 fps is too unrealistic for mobile player, maybe try default setting but with 60 fps, that's what settings im using rn with my Mi 9. Nice video btw 👍
I use highest setting but use 30fps, i only turn on 60fps while inside dungeon or bossfight. In open world i only get 45-55fps using Mi10T
Bro I dont know how but in my OnePlus 8T there's no difference between low and high graphics, I don't know if it's because I have turned on an option in game mode that optimizate graphics. So I literally can play at max graphics and 60fps without passing 40°
@@tomasgiraldor8611 most noticeable changes are render distance and the grass will move if you walk on it. There is not much change in term of visual. Might wanna check it.
@@tomasgiraldor8611 there's noticable difference for me though, but i think the main difference is about draw distance and render quality. But yeah maybe oneplus phone is just better than xiaomi xD

I was surprised on how the screen dims after intensive 10mins of Genshin on Poco F3... Definitely a concern for most gamers but maybe not for me, surprisingly...
Sounds true but did you even watched the whole video? 10 minutes of intensive gaming already dims the screen but the brightness will be back to normal once the CPU temps cool down, maybe I'm wrong though.
EDIT: Weirdly enough, it only happens in Genshin lol
EDIT2: This weird behaviour also happens on X3 Pro while playing PUBGM after I did watch the last video, not sure about other games too so hmmm
@@Narukiko is it correlate to the auto brightness? So if you turn off the auto brightness will it stop the phone from dimmer it self?
He had those on max brightness which I have noticed, but I am not sure if he had auto brightness on or off, I am pretty sure he turned off auto brightness
@@Narukiko well i guess its kinda weird since its my first time knowing phone can dim it self when playing games. I have poco f1 and it never do that kind of thing when playing pubg
We can see the difference between

Can you test in dragon spine map? planning to get poco x3 pro. some of my friend using mi10t pro but they got fps drop on dragonspine. just want to see if this device can handle that map :)
Seems like amoled is more sensitive to temps. I hear iPhone 12pro max driving without aircon will dim the display as well.
Back in sd 845 days, reviewers say, phones are fast now, can even get 835 phones, not a big difference. Now, there's stutters here and there, need proper cooling to do the job. Or game on m1.
i hope you review the new mi10s
from Xiaomi and compare it with mi10tpro and the normal mi10 and m10pro
the mi 11 lite just came out, can you make a comparison in games against f3 soon?
Can im using my BlackShark Fun Cooler (black one) for the X3 Pro to lower the temp? That might help with the CPU+battery temp?
SHOCKING results again in this one! Thanks for watching!

Always expecting that...
keep up the great work
