That's a fine performance by the guests. Meanwhile, sitting in Woody's reed section are some pretty darn good players themselves, especially Sal Nistico!
Just looked up the rhythm section details: Martin Harris, piano, Larry Rockwall, bass, Jimmy Campbell, drums. I presume they where the Woody Herman band rhythm section at the time?
The drummer was Ronnie Zito. Another special guest in addition to those reedmen was (wait for it!) Buddy Rich who came on later in the set to do a duet with Woody. For completists, here's the whole lineup: Woody Herman And His Orchestra : Bill Byrne, Dick Ruedebusch, Bill Chase, Lin Biviano, Paul Fontaine (tp) Jerry Collins, Henry Southall, Carl Fontana (tb) Woody Herman (cl,as) Bob Pierson, Frank Vicari, Sal Nistico (ts) Tom Anastas (bar) Nat Pierce (p) Michael Moore (b) Ronnie Zito (d) Recorded July 3, 1966
WOW! Is that a set of Legendary FOUR BROTHERS or what! 🎷🎷🎷🎷
The originals FOUR BROTHERS were Stan Getz, Herbie Steward, Zoot Sims and Serge Chaloff
Great performance. Always a delight when another old recording of Four Brothers shows up on UA-cam.
wonderful.

A different take then I’ve heard before!
Jeru taking the Late Serge Chaloff's place on Bari and Al Cohn filling in for Herbie Stewart!
