Warm weather , stunning vistas , good mates , camping and beer . Living the dream bro. Keen for part 2 . Cheers 🍻
I know sequels are rarely better than the originals in the movies but I think part 2 of this shenanigans will be the highlight, cheers ears 🍻
How goods paddy’s flat camping great flowing river sand to camp on🙌
It's a very nice spot and lots of room to spread out too. Pity the water was so warm that day!
And thanks for the review on the Olight…ordered one so I can clearly see the Yowie at Paddy’s Flat next time! 😂👍
I’ve ridden Paddy’s Flat about 4 or 5 times. The first few times it was so much fun and grippy. Since they’ve graded it it’s very sketchy in places and not as much fun. The swimming is amazing on a hot day.
Yeah I've seen footage of it looking a lot better than that. But yeah the swimming would have been a lot better if the water wasn't like 30 degrees 😬 cheers
yay 325th view 🤣👍 nice video Josh , sweet spot to camp 😁 cant wait for p2 😀
keep well and ride saf-ish guys 😉🍺
Last time i went through paddys flat road was around april 2023. They were doing road works so big sections were compacted clay. Was fine when dry, but after rain it was like ice. And I’ve still got a layer of the mud from it on my bike.
Haha yeah I can imagine that bulldust when compacted and wet would be pretty deadly 🍻
1st rule of rural riding - you must greet cows! A hello is best, but a wave will do.
Paddy’s Flat Road & the valley is a great little spot. Did you know there’s a little cemetery where you were camping? 🤞😂⚰️ It’s always an adventure…carry on! 😁👍🏍🏍🏍💨
Hi Roz! Thanks for the comment, no I didn't know about a cemetery... hope it's not an Indian burial ground I have enough bad luck already haha. Cheers 🍻
@@MVDBR hahaha sending you best wishes for a luck turning tide m8! 🤞😂🍀
It doesn't seem to take much rain to turn everything green, cheers 4 sharing sir.
Hey Josh! Thanks for sharing the ride, fantastic scenery, the variation of roads was tops, the camp site was great, to have a nice creek to have a dip is the best. Last weekend I had done the Flinders Ranges and managed a couple of tracks, its been pissing down here in SA for the last 4 days... OK safe travels and looking forward to the next one! David.....Adelaide/Kilburn.....Street Scrambler 900.......
You must be proud mate look at me leaving my state again hahaha. Not quite Victoria but it's something 😜 cheers mate
Hahaha, OK you are leaving the state...just a little closer...@@MVDBR
What an awesome camping spot. Them CRF300 Rally bikes had me quite tempted prior to getting my Aprilia, would have been able to sell the Beta then too!
I haven't actually ridden a 300 yet mate (I'll have to have a go soon) but I reckon the power would be a bit underwhelming. Other than that a great all rounder 💪
@@MVDBR aye... but had I gotten it prior to my Aprilia, it'd feel more like my old Beta for power, so although less than my current Beta, it wouldn't be as noticiable compared to now vs the Tuareg 660
Fantastic views mate 👍, I brought a Rally , my my on his 701 Husky , KTM 890. ,1090 DRZ 400 couldn’t keep with me in the bush tracks ( except my m my mate on the 701 ) he was blown away “ power is definitely not everything. It does help out of the corners but . Rode in that slippery crap 2 days ago down a mountain with lots of sharp corners “ was pretty hairy 😂😂😂.
Yeah no one really needs a whole lot of power but man it's fun to have. Cheers mate hope ya have a good Xmas 👌🍻
Gday mate. I bought a Tenere a few weeks back and the first job was to sort the back brakes. I live in Orange NSW and a bloke by the name of Johnny Prior runs a moto shop here in town called Orange Motorcycle Service Centre. He’s a very decorated dirt bike rider from his time. He hooked me up with organic material rear brake pads made by Newfren part number FD0206BD and we adjust the rear master cylinder piston so there was just the slightest contact of pads on the rear disc. Perfection and no more 3 inch’s of brake pedal plunging to the ground. That simple, I’m talking 450cc dirt bike rear brake feel. Look into lads 👌🏾 save money on that Camel foot pedal rubbish.
The bluff is cool
Oh, looking at the map it looks like we took Nobles Rd, Long Swamp Rd, & KIllarney Barlow's Gate Rd. Didn't actually go to Killarney
@@MVDBR ok, sweet. Only been to Killarney once to service the alarms at the school and cop shop.
Josh 13:47 did you see my comment last time about the person Moto rear subframe strengthening kit ,if you put bags on 690 you'll need the kit .
Phil's fitted the Perun Moto bolt kit and also the Oberon clutch slave, thanks mate 🤙
Nice area down that way. What was Barlows Gate track like ?
Episode 1: Attack of the Bot Fly!
@@JustTex Perfect size and I didn't need the duffle bag on top. Kept the weight nice and low. Seems like good quality, see how long the straps and stitching last.
@@Steves_ADV good stuff , i'm so tempted to buy some even though i don't need them....
Cool, is there going to be a end of year ride/camp with all the crew from the year maybe :)
Don't know mate we're running out of time hey and I'm busy as a one legged man at an arse kicking contest at the moment 🤔 Imagine if I had a real job to juggle as well 🙈
If Olight came with tazer I'd by one,
@@cliff1551 hi darlin! 👋😂 I ended up buying the torch anyway! 🙄😂 Busted up my ankle 2 weeks ago (and not on the bike 🤦🏻♀️😂), so I’ve got 4 more weeks of sharpening up my weakest skills…patience & restraint 🤞😂…before I can throw a leg over and head bush for some much needed sanity & therapy…dirt life! 😂🙏🏍⛺️ Hope you’re traveling well darlin & Merry Christmas! 😘
@@RozalynVeersma yer babe everything's going good for Christmas ,hope for speedy recovery of your ankle ,missing you ,xx have a great Christmas Roz hope Santa brings you what you want x have a great new year x
Have wings will fly 👋🤠👍
Hey Josh when you pack your 690 do a vlogg mate please
@@MVDBR reason I ask is I've got 3os18 bags and a 40liter dry roll bag and still can't get all my stuff in properly without forcing it in bags ,,and that's just minimal packing 👋🤠👍
How much georgey weigh, asking coz the helinox chair only takes 250lb
@@JorgeGonzalez-ei6ft hey Jorge I weigh 240 lb mate and at my local camping shop I was told I was to heavy for the helinox chair ,so I'm asking for personal reasons mate ok ,so the chairs ok for you ye .
Haha, if you want shit brakes ride a drz400e unloaded they are shit, fully loaded its freight train stopping distance, scary AF b4 you get out of the metro area when heading out for a few days
Yeah can't really complain about the T7 brakes lol they just seem a bit pox after the 690 🤙 cheers
Amazing scenery and riding Josh, except for the bull dust 🤔Looks like a great trip, be interesting to see how the 300 Rally goes, of course Black Betty was the choice for this trip, cheers mate 👍👍🍻🍻🥃🥃
Mint area down there mate pity it's a bit of a hike from here to get there, would love to explore more. Cheers Mike 🍻
A foot note; Having the Two bikes, if you can, its the best. The T7 is perfect for long haul trips and camping The KTM690 is perfect for the fun Day Rides that you do a lot of, each bike has their merits and purpose...
Yeah exactly my thoughts mate 🍻
