- The Cadence CP 1000 pole is a serious contender against the incredibly well respected Daiwa G90! What better way to compare them than a side-by-side POLE TEST. Jordan Holloway and Tom Scholey get stuck in and give you their thoughts on each pole. You might be very surprised by their findings...
For clarity, the two poles are made on the same size mandel, meaning all sections interchange.
Not the exact same mandrel. Top end Daiwa poles (including the G90 Pro) are made in Scotland. The Cadence poles are not.

I own the 1000 and the 2000 wouldn't part with them great quality reasonably priced great spares availability
just used the discount code to get some spare number 4s for my g90 got some cadence cp800 carp pole number 40s just over £40 each better than paying much higher
Can you do a ngauge pro 16m review / comparison, to other poles in the that price bracket? Thank you
Better pole than g90 is the original tournament pro compared to most flagship poles at 16m nothing can best it for price wickersly angling
i want be swapping my diawa for cadence
Interesting to a point but they are clearly made in the same factory. Using elasticated kits would be more interesting.
Not made in the same factory. They are made on the same size mandel, meaning all sections interchange.
Not the exact same mandrel. Top end Daiwa poles (including the G90 Pro) are made in Scotland. The Cadence poles are not.
Can you please do something about the sound on your videos ? It’s really quiet so I have to turn my telly way up then the adverts are mega loud .
Does the cadence top kits have division / depth markers on the top sections as the diawa poles don't compared to most of the other manufacturers
No , don't come bushed either unless requested
Cadence pole actually doesn't appear to be anywhere near as stiff as the Daiwa, especially when you see the views when both poles are waggled together.
Apart from these two being from the same mandrel, which other poles are from the same mandrel? For example Dura carp 600 margin pole kits (only £25) also fit Daiwa poles, so there is another cross over
they are both from the same mandrel ... both bent as a butchers hook
They are made on the same size mandel, meaning all sections interchange.
Not the exact same mandrel. Top end Daiwa poles (including the G90 Pro) are made in Scotland. The Cadence poles are not.
Can't see Cadence sponsoring Gary Rodgers match this year somehow
Are the both made by dawia?
No.
I bought my cadence cp 1000 for £1400,got half ex,6 carp tops, match kit, short 4 and spare no long 4,stick short 4 and f1 kit and its super stiff hreat pole
Found a brand new g90 for 700 quid with kits....
Great price that.
1k for a pole with nothing else is just ridiculous
Why is it if its something you love & people pay that for a phone .
Currently , another 150 quid gets you the 13m power package. which includes short 4, 6 x power top two and a mini extension
Agree it is considered it’s a far east made clone of the daiwa , cadence missed a trick , all they’re equipment is ridiculously expensive considering the fact it they are online only direct to the public with no middle men
I have and use Shimano Aero X5's float and feeder rods , Aero XR's , Ultegra XTD's , Cadence 16ft float rods, Cadence 9m whip and Cadence C7 and C5 reels. and Matrix MTX2 14.5m pole and don't think any were expensive.
I use a MTX 3 for the past probably 5 years or so. Yes I paid over a 1k for it but I got the pole dolly butts cupping kit, match and power kits and extra short kits as it was the last in stock if I took it on that day I got elastics at half price. I got a great deal on mine but as I stated £1k for just the pole means just the pole no kits no cupping kit. That’s a lot of extra money to pay out on top
Going to feel very similar being they’re both made on the same mandrel and made in the Daiwa factory up in Scotland 😂😂😂😂
Cadence pole not made in Scotland mate👍
Reverse engineered from a daiwa, not off the exact same mandrel. I believe they are Chinese hence the complete disregard for intellectual property etc...
They are made on the same size mandel, meaning all sections interchange.
Not the exact same mandrel. Top end Daiwa poles (including the G90 Pro) are made in Scotland. The Cadence poles are not.
If you need a spare pole…?….why not just buy two Cadence poles !
Will upset a few of the Daiwa sheep a bit😂
cant beat a good pole review by 2 massive benders
The poles or the anglers 😅
I dont own a pole but i found it very interesting. I live minutes away from the Hampshire Avon and Dorset Stour so fish naturals as a rule. Very few commercials in my area.
I was a little lost as to where you would use them. Are they Carp poles.
Nice video.
Great natural venue pole in my opinion it’s light and crisp … feels much stronger in the hand with mini butt sections .
So just to be clear do Daiwa manufacturer the CP1000 and then allow Cadence to apply the graphics/branding ? Had no idea Daiwa offered this service to other manufacturers. They must be some difference in the quality of carbon used as how can the G90 pro be double the cost for something that’s on an identical mandrel.
Not unusual Paul. KP snacks make popcorn for loads of companies that have their own packaging.. Price is dicatated by the quality of the carbon used and package. Also, Cadence sells direct to customer, so there is no 'middle man' tackle shop.
My understanding is that it is a Chinese pole reverse engineered from a daiwa. Pay your money and take your choice but in my experience when Garbolino moved they're pole manufacture from France to China they went down hill rapidly, the carbon is cheaper and less sophisticated weave and lay-up.
They are made on the same size mandel, meaning all sections interchange.
Not the exact same mandrel. Top end Daiwa poles (including the G90 Pro) are made in Scotland. The Cadence poles are not.
these are old cadence poles the new ones are coming id wait before you buy cadence
Or maybe they'll be doing some mega deals on the older models .
@@topfuelteddy could be id rather wait and get the new ones they will be better you would hope anyway im sticking with daiwa never let me down and quality
Bought the CP 1000 and it’s a lovely light responsive pole very well balanced , and has lots of good things going for it at the price .
I don’t think I’ll be using the CP 1000 for targeting lumps , I would say it’s a pole that lends itself well towards natural venues , I think it’s great that Cadence have bought out a pole that isn’t aimed at being too powerful / not too thick walled and heavy like some of the new models from other brands …..not a pole for the heavy handed and more of a finesse pole I would say but with the mini butt sections fitted it becomes a different pole in the hands , and the wall strength in the mini butt sections gives you greater confidence (they’re solid ). I would say it’s a great pole for canals , rivers natural lakes and reservoirs . I also think it would be a great pole for f1’s and smaller carp and fishing shallow .
( that’s just my opinion )
I wouldn’t want to test it with a bungee cord elastic for massive carp down the edge !
@@Matt-ik6wy thats why ill stick with my g90 from silvers to carp bagging does all
@@deanoDEANO-lk5ve The G90pro is a better pole since Daiwa upgraded the old G90 .
So unless you’ve got the G90 pro you can’t take any comparison from this review .
The original G90 would look very sloppy against the CP1000 , that’s a fact .
hate pole fishing your trapped,, can not stand up move have a pee drink your tea ect ect rubbish in the wind ,learn to cast and relax ,unless its a match then your trapped with a pole and a bad back,,
Get some decent microphones FFS😂 im using a ear horn at minute
All overpriced!
