The extras packs are mostly fine IMO. I get the pay to win concern, and I wish they did skins instead, but they aren't expensive and they're one time. If anything, they can help any new players to the game up to speed a little faster so they can get to the upcoming raid. Or help unlucky veteran players. Plus hey, we get to support the game somehow lol. Was fun hanging out on stream!

Also it's sigils that you can farm in 1 day if you put yourself into it. It's not like they are giving 3 Sup DMG V+

Exactly! I don't see anything wrong with them. Cheap, single time use and all items you can get in game. People need to Support the game and stop starting a war for a couple bucks 😅😊. Love this game!
Those packs are just to help new players catch up to us that already at the endgame prepared to fight the upcoming raid boss. Most of us don't even need them. It does help yes, but for endgame players, just a tiny bit.

Ppl cry over the stupidest things now a days like if this was something new or a deal breaker for the game just understand that these developers need to make they’re money somehow to deliver more content and if anyone thinks this it to much money then don’t buy beer, doritos or cigarettes on your next trip to the gas station plus its a healthier trade imo.

It is a decently long amount of time.
i have 5 supplemental damages but never got a war elemental. Every time i hear someone say the rates aren't that low i cry a little.
They both have the same rate, you are just very unlucky, or lucky... I'm not sure which lol

And that's exactly how they want you to feel. Tbh, $3 isn't a lot of money, but it's the principle of the matter that pisses me off about this situation. It would take next to no effort to change the rates to not be so abysmal and then announce it patch notes, but instead, they ask you to give them $3. People seem to like the argument that they are not necessary to complete a fight, which is true, but neither are Damage Cap V's and terminus weapons. After all, all they do is make the fights go faster.

@@TsunaTakahiro 400hrs?! Geez! I stopped at 300hrs, the Silver Centrums farm got too unbearable for me. Only maxed out 7 Terminus weapons, mind you I'm a completions, I've platinum'd all of SAO games. This game? The grind is a tad worse. I'd rather spend another 300hrs+ on MH games where the fights are more engaging. Lol
@@Introversion399 I feel you and that's why I wish there was another difficulty that gave us 100% drop rate for Centrums for completion and other materials.
Though I will say this. The grind is rough but I think what makes it worse is that we really dont have enough Post Game content. I was very surprised that not every encounter in the game has a Proud difficulty, and no I will not count the multi boss fights. Not of a fan of that route.
Becareful what difficulty you're farming. there are different curio drops.

IMO the paid packs aren't a hude deal at all. They're all super cheap. And at the end of the day, this is a PvE game. If Relink had some sort of PvP compinent to it then I would definitely see a concern. But there isn't. Somebody else buying a pack for 500 extra Fortitude Crystals isn't going to affect you in the slightest, so if people are truly upset about that I think they're just over-reacting.
Besides, I think people in the endgame know that none of those packs really matter all that much when Silver Centrums are the true grind 💀💀
People outraged and pressed by a war elemental that you can only buy ONE TIME for a mere 3$ are actually dumb calling it p2w in a PVE ONLY game that literally effects no one. Literally no pvp in the game ppls need to use their brains that they left on the ground and think logically for once.

I will buy the emotes for sure just to support Cygames develop Relink. Love this game a lot.
I don't understand why people are upset about the packs. For 1, they have to make their money somehow and plus they gave us free characters, 2 there's alot thats free they are giving us. I don't see how it's thst big of a deal honestly. I want this game to keep going and drop characters, paying them 3$ for something, if I want it, is not that big of a deal
There’s no issue with this. The outcry is just crybabies doing crybaby things.
War elemental sigil being in a paid package isn't really pay to win. The sigil can easily be obtain by farming vulkan bolla in Maniac difficulty in just one day if you do it for enough hours (i did afk farming while doing homework almost all day and ended up with 5 of these). If it was a Supplementary dmg V+ sigil, THEN we could make an actual argument on why it's p2w. These paid packages are just pay to get fast, which is fine as long as it is cheap and limited in quantity (just like in this case).
Edit: Also, these packages look more aimed people who can't spend too much time farming, to help them get ready for the new boss faster.
Eh, i'm indifferent. We're WAY past the point of caring about Microtransactions. As an old Vet of the Microtransactions wars, where I was constantly pushing back against this, back when Horse Armor popularized the scene and made sheep-like mentality out of 'gamers'; even Lootboxes! couldn't be stopped, let alone regulated...
I genuinely don't care anymore. But I do like to read other's *opinions* about it. Seeing the new generation saying "it's not fair/good", just to get a chuckle out of it. 😆
same. What's offered in some of these packs isnt that special. It's all in game too.
the problem is if there sigils and weapons being sold that you couldnt earn in game and were strong.
I love this game so I'll get everything. I also have NO Wars so.....
Ngl, I'm just excited to know that Cygames will keep working and improving the game, hopefully they can expend upon It by adding new quests, characters, content and QoLs, as I really want this title to shine as well as stay alive for a really long time
Honestly I don’t mind there being packs as most if not all are one time use and are things you can acquire in game. I don’t mind supporting them with a few bucks for an extra war elementalist sigil and some level up crystals that are a tedious farm.
I dunno, I’ve played over 150 hours and I still haven’t gotten a War Elemental sigil. From my perspective the drop rate is too low.
Apparently sigil boxes have tier rating? What have you been farming? I got so many from proto and fire wrym proud.
I do hope this game introduces a sizable DLC in the future. Not soon. But I would gladly pay for a $30-$40 DLC game expansion. I can only dream that they emulate Monster Hunter World and make an expansion as big as Iceborne.
I don't mind about War Elemental being in the packs honestly. I already got 3 of them in around 150 hours and I didn't even specifically grind for it. The most important part is you cannot buy it infinitely so it's not going to be a pay to win scenerio. Lastly, let's not forget they're delivering 3 new playable characters completely FREE. For me, this game needs longevity and if a few tiny packs here and there is helpful to the cause, I'm all for it.
They're one time only purchase. No problem at all and priced super fair.
Have almost 400hrs... Game needs daily missions, random queue dungeon runs. Just like strike missions on destiny. Fighting boss and watch their cinematic over and over again takes something from you that you dont want
seem mostly like catch up packs, thanks god it can only be purchased once, that almost scared me.
Please, i bet people spend 1000 USD and still haven't got what they wanted. 3 USD for a small boost in PVE game is nothing.
They had noobie packs like the sword already. This is the same. No pvp and we can farm it already. Itd be an issue if it was a new item (sigil or whatever) that you can only get by purchasing. But thats not the case
I will probabally spend more money on my electricity bill farming for war elemental then buying it for 2.99 XD So I see it as a win win.
As long as the DLC stuff is fair. I will buy them to support the game. really want more characters and things to do in the game.

Im perfectly fine with those packs. It helps the newer players catch up as well as the ones who have yet to grab a War Elemental for w/e reason an option to acquire it. Had this been a thing at launch id be more upset but given its been over month and its nothing crazy line a Supp dmg with a good sub sigil then im all for these packs

150 hours in 6 war elemental and 4 Supp and I'm glad that I don't need to spend the money or think that I might need to spend the money.

The idea of harder content is great but they need to have equivalent rewards to be tempting because lets be honest here, if u have to do extremely difficult content to be rewarded almost nothing most ppl will not do any effort for that just "for the pleasure of overcoming oneself" 😅😅
Really looking forward to higher difficult quests. Hopefully they fix poor Ghandagoza and nerf ranged characters 😈

The paid packs aren't an issue, the issue is there's no skins coming til possibly the April update and that in 3 months we're getting just 3 characters? They have probably 40 characters they could add and I'm not expecting all of em but in 3 months it'd be nice to get more or at least a bunch of new quests or skins

Even more valuable if you know the fact that many big companies would try to sell you those for more than 20$ without limits. (pretty funny compared to GBF originally being a gacha)

People being upset it’s ONE war elemental for 3$ come off of it. They need to make money somehow they giving us FREE content and characters. Would be funny if in those improvements to the game the lowered the repeat quest limit to 5 🤣. I would understand if it was a Sup damage 5+ in a pack but it’s really not that serious you don’t have to buy it if you don’t wanna
Imagine they make the character like suprise ticket price in og game. I'm just thankful they are free and the pack is very cheap compare to that price.
I thought these packs were quite ok. By now everybody has at least 4x war elementals for the main team, nothing is abusive, everything is affordable and if you just started out this will only allow you to catch up (it's not going to break things)...
Anyone using the "it's a catchup mechanic for new players" argument for the pay 2 win crap is blind to the fact that they could just fix the rates at which you acquire these materials/sigils.
Not true. Besides war elemental the other sigils have a + version. These wont let anyone catch up. And even war elemental is too basic to be considered catch up.... I got mine and the plus version if the others pretty quick.
If ppl consider this catch up then they are blind because with that logic terminus weapon farming and awakening for all char needs fixing first before war elemental.

Its crazy to me how many people shill for microtransactions in a $60 full price game, with barely more than 20 hours of meaningful content (which is already repeating itself within the main story campaign) and that out of the batch ripped out cosmetic options for the characters to sell and now sells a solution to a problem of a purposefully intransparent lootbox system with droprates similar to the ones in crappy mobile gacha games.
It says a lot about the quality when people start to AFK farm that kind of a game when they hit the 30h mark. But yeah, keep defending a multimillion dollar company that will see that support only as an incentive to make things worse.
btw does anybody really believe that skins will be earnable within the game, when they are already selling fkin RECOLORS?!?

Fu** "No true gamer" gatekeepers. More quality of life changes or just GTFO of our game. I want everyone to enjoy, even the ones who have not much time due to the daily grind of life.
My problem with this is that it feels like the stuff in the packs should be instead rewards for dedicated challenges in the game via the trophy system. An example lets say solely for War elemental, there was a trophy where ya beat a dragon of each type 5-10 times. And since you'll be getting curios during that grind thatll also give ya a chance to get one for your ai partners too or a sup 5.
It feels like this is a very lazy and slightly cash grabby way of going about it.
Give me all the DLC packs you can, I can buy the ones I want or all of them, there is no issue .

grind? i just auto play golems for 2h and got 3 war elementals, its all luck and its not game changing. Its ok to support the game.

my advice for anyone seeking these sigils is not to directly seek them. Focus on leveling everyone, and maxing out the weapons. You will eventually get what you're looking for.
Also, for the argument that "Proud is too easy". They really shouldn't have named the tiers.

When a normal person reads "Hard", theh would reasonably expect it to be... Hard... (It wasn't 'Hard' at all.)
I'll laugh my butt off if they add more named tiers as; "insanity", "Ultimate", "Eternals", stuff like that. Like the naming is soo unnecessary if grinding our characters to be stronger is all that's needed to beat it.
We should not think its okay since its so cheap and stuff. We waited ages for this game and it is a full price game.
Also: despite me loving the game even after 170 hours... the content inside it is still kinda small compared to the developing time.

It’s really down to Rng, I got my one before all my friends but struggled with getting supplementary dmg, now I have 7 war elementals and a few normal sup ones… best way to get it if you still haven’t is farm a proud mission as it’s a 100% curio drop rate and likely to give rarer stuff if you can’t do that easily then a maniac mission is a good choice

@@DRAKLOR_44 they are confirmed. The drop chance for War Elemental is on a Tier 4 curios (available after unlocking Proud missions) at a 0.07%.

they are easy drops to me as I never directly farm them. there's so many other things to build that Curios are just a bonus.
one thing i hated was content creators pushing the NEED for people to have these when at the core, they are bonus, ESPECIALLY Supp. I got 3 V's and im using them and ill say, half the time they dont feel worth using over using 3 other V+'s for utilty/flex
when the Luc comes out, i'm dropping them because I refuse to gimp my teammates just so i can see bigger numbers on my end.
I don't feel so bad for modding in a war elemental sigil.

Yep, if they can 'tweak' or 'adjust balances' through any characters' coding (which they will be, as mentioned for Gandaghoza*), The developers can definitely 'tweak' or 'adjust' drop rates to be better, like the Tayu'itar core materials. (It was bugged to not drop before)
This is a literal: 'Make artificial problem, sell artificial solution' tactic.
First off there's no problem with the grind as it is right now it's completely reasonable. Secondly they're not offering a paid solution in any capacity that would overcome the current grind anyways so your argument doesn't make sense on both points
@@TheGameClub sorry but of course there selling the Solution. Not only for The War Elemental but especially for the Gold Dalia Badges. Not everyone playing online and locking the Last Character Ticket exclusive behind Online Content is just wrong. Yes you can get them also offline if you use your Gold Ticket but unlike online where you have a 100% Chance getting 3 Badges if youre using 3 Tickets the Offline Chance is not even 5%....with a limited Ressource that replenishes every 24 hrs.
Also it wouldnt be a Problem if they would give out at least 1 War Elemental due to the ingame Trophy System. Many of the Rewards are absolute useless. Of course if you play the Game 24/7 Online yo7 have more than enough Curios but after Playing the Game for almost 150 hrs complete offline i didnt had any war Elemental or Supp Sigils even i farmed the Curios for Hours.
@@TheGameClub I wholeheartedly disagree. When you have ppl “grinding” for 150+ hours w/ either 0 war elemental and/or supplementary sigils…it’s a problem. I’m almost certain that those individuals being affected by what you call “reasonable” grind would disagree as well. When in doubt, just throw money at it I guess but here’s to hoping they up the rates as opposed to just selling you a solution to a problem they themselves have created. There are better ways of keeping your player base engaged with your video game instead of incorporating scummy practices such as these #JUSSAIYAN🤷♂️
