This is a great tutorial, and great feature. I was using a high quality USB mic for Zoom calls but found the audio would drop in and out occasionally. Now I always use the Switch to Phone Audio feature in Zoom so even if my video drops frames, they can still always hear me.
You should be able to still share files as you are not just calling in. That said sharing large files may run into issues if bandwidth is the reason you are using this feature in the first place.
@@RyanGuyProf I don't see this option in my Zoom on the computer though. I also tried to look for it on the internet. Couldn't find how to make it available for me. Any tips on that? Thanks!
@@alexandrehcardoso4065 It looks like Zoom made this a Pro- Only feature earlier this year. It only will work now if the host has a pro account (the participants can still have free ones).

Can you share audio files through this option or does it only work like a mic and speaker?

Thank you!!!
Do I necessarily have to be the host to be able to do this?
Nope. Any participant should be able to switch to phone audio.

I could not do that :(
Ugh!, best I can tell, Zoom disabled the feature in the free version. It only works now is the host has a professional account.
It is functioning even in free account?
