    This is so true and so helpful. The third situation afterwards make me want to avoid doing the exposure again because I think that I barely made it.

      "I barely made it" is the lie that we need to challenge. Good realization!

    After doing my exposures It leaves me feeling horrible for a few days. Is it better to wait for those symptoms to get better or should I continue to do them even when I feel that bad

      The work is most effective on the days when your brain is telling you to not do it. Dial back the exposures to smaller things if need be in order to maintain the consistency. That matters more than anything.
