@LuxHM what he says in front of the media and what he says in the dressing room is 2 different things. Personally I'd prefer managers to be more honest in interviews.
De Zerbi is your typical Italian coach: he values teamwork above all, he absolutely rewards merit & believes everyone ought to buy into his team's philosophy but these coaches, like Conte, have trouble communicating that aspect of their philosophy that feels dictatorial. They are fundamentalist in that aspect and often provide results. The premier lg is a different animal where certain players, Fati for example, believe they ought to be given opportunities because of their stature in the game. The perpetual rotation didn't do him any favors. I've watched most of their games & i think there's been a stagnation of sorts, especially when your best players are out injured. The league is a marathon and often injuries decide who finish well at the end. Man City have everybody back on board for their push & Tottenham didn't. I just think the pressing by Brighton was not there this year due to injuries but he did improve a number of players, especially Gilmour and that Dutch CB. I am still on his biggest fans as a great coach and I think he will be given the Juventus job, where the culture is a bit more open to a strict coach.

People bashing DeZirbi should chill, he lost key cogs of his tactics in McAllister, Caicedo, Trossard & Colwill. EVERY manager will struggle in such conditions.
TBH he didn't lose Colwill he was on loan, he was just lucky to have him in the first place. As for the others they got a fair chunk of change for them, McAllister: £35 Mill, Caicedo £115 mill and Trossard £20 Mill. Total £170 mill. They just didn't use the cash wisely.
@@sampowell6240you act like Colwil was a Puyol or Maldini type of influential defender. Dude was decent and never spectacular on his loan. They spent well on transfers and their signings need time. Also do not forget they were plagued by injuries as many other teams this season. Mitoma, March, Estupinan, Enciso were all rocked by injuries the whole season

He was great when things were going well... when things got tough this season he showed another less impressive side which was a shame. Still, appreciate all his hard work with his staff and grateful for giving us some of the most amazing moments whilst in charge of Brighton

I think the backroom staff have played a large part in Brightons relative success. They have great scouts and technical staff who have found and developed talent from around the world at low costs and sold on for fortunes.
Well so many injuries in Brighton he clearly shows that he can manage the squad to get the best out of the team, he has been terrible this season

Yup he made the right decision - Brighton chairman did not let him keep the good players - made decisions to sell key players for profit at the wrong time - Trossard to Arsenal (2), MacAlister to Liverpool (3) Caicedo to Chelsea (6) …so now they end up not even in the top 10.

Must be hard being a manager of a selling club especially after qualifying for Europe, best players sold and now the manager. Have to say Brighton are one of very few clubs not loaded with millions in the red.
Because Tony Bloom and Paul Barber look after the state of the club very very well run buisness . Staying in the Premier League year on year keeps you in the black and getting 115 Million on a transfer great buisness.

@@leeemery8099 He would see the potential In Brighton as a club as he did with Tottenham. Brighton are even better financially than them. If Brighton ever wants to taste Champions League football then Poch is the man they should contact. He will get them top 4. He also has connections of his own when it comes to young talents. And Brighton already have great youth academy that he can help develop as well as the players In the first team.

He’d also have to sell his top players to the bigger teams
