I was introduced to Brendan in 2007. We talked for about an hour. I'm so proud to have met the man, his love for the Irish people was so strong, but his heart was broken. He knew his fight and hopes for the socialist republic was lost forever. God bless you Brendan

He did what he felt was right. He rests now in one of the most beautiful parts of our land. RIP of those that were forced to choose, some of them chose to fight.

na it is Mici singing it. Gerry O'Glacain right writes most of the songs but when Mici and Maire (his wife) writes their songs it is usually mici that sings him. That why he is singing it here.

He was a broken man towards the end of his life and it was sad to see as he would have gave his life for his friends especially gerry adams and they turned there back on him and got a job as a leader of our country and left him to rot in a divis flat his brother should have followed brendans wishes and never have let gerry carry his coffin he had the cheek to even go as he made brendan out to be a liar when the dogs on the street knew gerry was in the ra never mind us humans

@CarrickLoyalists the war is not over. however the ira have been betrayed by ther leaders, they lack experience now and tactical knowledge however they are getting a lot of new recruits and some with thw skills to oranise the ira into the elite fighting force of 1969-2005. as long as people like you and the british army are in northern ireland the war still continues.

@Lutonloyal, before 1921 we didn't have anything. The IRA and Republican Politicians throughout the years never gave up ! Given Dominion status but kept up the pressure and eventually got a 26 County Republic. And don't forget how far your average nationalist has come over the last 30 years. Civil rights ect.
