I've worn short hair for the past 20 years, and my husband loves it! Hair does not define us, but like Art, it can be fun to try different Colors and Styles. Bless you for donating your hair; that's very kind of you.
After 5 years of having a pixie cut, I've decided to grow mine out. Honestly getting called sir ALL THE TIME took a toll on my self-esteem. Your video helps with my progress.
Glad I could help! :D Enjoy the perks of short hair. As a side note, I didn't style my hair, so if you're the type, you could have a lot of fun with it.
I just cut my hair into shaved sides and a longer top because I’m going to bootcamp for the army on Sunday and it will be the perfect time to grow it out and start fresh.
Thank you so much! I'm already looking forward to cutting it again. I'll know when it's time to get it cut when it threatens to wrap around my neck in my sleep. lol
This is so helpful. I have just started growing out my pixie cut and like you said, I’m struggling to find photos of grow out. I now know what to expect!
Haha! Aw... Luckily, mine grew out before masks became a major thing. I'm sure I would have been mistaken for one a lot as well if half my face was covered. The hairdresser who cut my hair said keeping the sideburns longer can give a pixie a more feminine look. /shrug
If people are mistaking you for a boy, it's because they're being rude! Hair does not define the person. There are many, many beautiful woman with very short hair. Be you for you, and nobody else
@@davegrohlenjoyer877 I'm guessing they're all a bunch of a**holes getting away with being rude! You're you, long hair or short hair, and it's nobody's business how you wear YOUR hair.
Haha! Yes, I'm half Spanish, hair grows fast everywhere for the better or worse. My hair has been turning white since I was 13ish, so was curious what I would look like with short hair before I got TOO old. lol
Love this thank you! This time last year I thought was going to let mine grow out again but gave up but I really want a bob again so I canceled my salon appointment for the weekend and am going for it. I love a pixie but I stopped coloring my hair, the texture has changed so I want to see what its like at 40 😄
After it was cut short, I only had my mom trim it twice; once in October (about 3 months in) to even out because it was initially uneven ( @1:38 ) and another to shorten up the back the following month so it looked like less of a mullet ( @ 1:48 ).
It is easier to tell in the October side pictures what I'm talking about... The pictures were taken at around the start of each month, and letting that October hair grow out for another month without a trim in November, the "mullet" would be much more obvious. I just wanted to make note of every time I got a trim, because before I made the decision to go short, I read a lot about how much maintenance it would be.
thestephster35 I’m looking at the October Side pictures and I don’t see a mullet, but rather an undercut because the bottom is shorter, and then it’s even shorter at the very bottom in November.
@@nabranestwistypuzzler7019 Right, the pictures in November are after the trimming to reduce the 'mullet'. The 'mullet' was much more pronounced in late October; the October pictures in the video only show the start of it, where the top and sides are short, and the back is longer at the neck. The word 'mullet' here is used liberally (almost exaggeratedly) because that is the term I've heard used when growing out a pixie.
thestephster35 The only reason why the back is at the neck is because it IS at the neck, the back and side are about the same length, and then the top is longer.
@@nabranestwistypuzzler7019 Lol. Dude... idky you're arguing with me on the definition of a mullet... Maybe this visualization will help, essentially what my hair would look like without the trim in the back in November: bit.ly/3b3S0so

Thanks for showing your progress! I’ve had a pixie for 4 years and am considering growing it out. Your grow out process looked so graceful :)

You look great with long or short hair. So nice of you to donate it, thanks for doing that.
You hair looks so much healthy. I just got a pixie haircut today...🙂
I also don’t wear makeup because I simply don’t care and have short hair. I think most women look better with no makeup or minimal makeup tbh.

I’m still growing out my pixie cut and with the masks I get mistaken for a boy more often than I’d like to admit

We want the update!
Lol! My hair is about at armpit-length now.
@@thestephster35 The top layers too?
@@crosshalt8499 Yep! :) Since June 2020, 8 months later, it went from my shoulders to my armpits (about 4 inches?) lol
Thanks for that I just cut a pixie today

The face app picture was almost identical so I don’t understand what point it made?
lol! nice
@ no, what I mean is you look female regardless of some stupid app?! It didn’t prove a point!!
Hey! Are you trimming your hair from time to time?

1:51 What mullet? You literally had an undercut, and then it just became slightly more of a connected undercut with it being blunt at the bottom.

@0:57 I mean... that's pretty hot.
Lol! Right?!
next: a time lapse of a mullet. but instead of going forward, it goes back to 1985 👍
You had glorious hair before you chopped it.
Haha! Thanks! It grew back. And now others can have it too. :)
@@thestephster35 Congrats! I am deeply cynical when it comes to hair charities, since warehouses full of ponytails already exist.
Wow! You make a hot guy!
