When I watch videos like this I can't understand why more people aren't going vegan. Tbf 2017 was good for veganism, let's hope 2018 is even better. Come on Japan. Let's start getting some vegan options over here
This is a little bit nuts, in that I cannot believe this is reality! You know veganism is really making inroads when stores start to issue own-brand versions of vegan convenience products. An Aldi just opened near the Meijer's I go to, but I haven't bothered to go because I figured there was nothing there I couldn't get elsewhere. Not so! TFP!
i’m really curious about those hot dogs so please let us know how they were. the field roast ones are a little too ‘peppery’ for me. i want a milder flavor.
Debbie P The vegan cheese isn’t bad! It’s not too great out of the bag, but I had it on some pizza and it was pretty good. Melts well just a bit sticky.
It is so important to have easy vegan items (burgers, cheese, snacks) that are affordable for all - especially those transitioning. I don't eat those stuff myself personally (also because there is none in the country I live in!), but every time I see the word 'vegan' in any supermarket, it makes my day. Among so much negativeness around us, it is what keeps us going I suppose. It is good to see change is happening...thanks for the video and please let us know how the items tasted.
I love going to Aldi's and find new things everyday. My Aldi's has the big dates for 3.99 a box which if you go to Kroger's they are 7.00. Also they carry the organic vinegar with mother for 1.19 a bottle. They are really coming up with great items for people on a budget.
I love Aldi! I just went there a couple days ago to see if I could find any new vegan alternatives; not yet! Allllllsoooo, I open Sunday mornings at Jimmy John's and I always listen to UA-cam videos. Your video about your vegan story came up and I listened to it. It inspired me. I've been a vegetarian for almost 8 years and I've toyed with going vegan multiple times. I always gave up because my boyfriend follows the standard American diet and I felt like it was already a challenge making meals with me being vegetarian. I just told myself, "you're already doing what you can, it's okay to keep consuming dairy and eggs." Once I finished your video, while I was slicing lettuce, I told myself then and there that I was done! I became vegetarian for the animals, and now I'm vegan for the animals. You're right, there are so many reasons to be vegan. Geez long comment, but anyway, thank you! ❤❤🤘
Alicia Michela Hello to You ... I've been practicing being vegan or vegetarian since I was a teenager. But stopped along the way after having children then getting married. Always tried to eat healthy and maintain my weight. I see now that I was on the right path when I was younger. What I want to know is, what's the difference in being Vegan or a Vegetarian??? Realizing it's about the animals that is being kept alive...
Yah, ALDI opened here in Naples FL this past March...great place...you cannot find fresh blackberries for a better price than at ALDI...this week they were only 99 cents for 6 ounce clamshell thing...the avocados were only 59 cents each this week along with the mangoes! Thanks for this video!
I'm excited that Aldi's has more vegan options, and I can't wait to check it out myself. The last time I was this excited was when dollar tree started selling almond milk! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Hopefully, it will be in all dollar tree stores soon. They have really stepped up their game with it comes to vegan foods. I've seen veggie patties, spring rolls, vegetable samosas and a few other things. That's normally where I do my budget shopping. See if you can request it!
Really hope this range comes to the UK, especially as a lot of students want to go vegan and struggle with affording it when they're not used to living alone etc. Love your channel! x
Charlie Adele The processed stuff is gonna be more expensive than if you buy whole foods (grains, beans, legumes, seeds, fruits and vegetables, with nuts and certain condiments like nutritional yeast being a little pricier). I'm on a strict budget, and I eat real good and cheaply this way. 😊 I rarely eat organic, though, and I buy lots of frozen veggies.. I think the processed stuff is good if you're transitioning, however, it's going to be more expensive overall. Just something to consider. xx
I follow a whole food vegan diet so thanks for the advice but I'm there :). For people newly going vegan like a lot of students I know who also aren't the best in the kitchen the processed foods are more realistic for them x
I am such a skeptic seeing someone saying vegan cheese melts beautifully. If you make a pizza using it, does it get like soup, dried out or somewhere in between? And most importantly does it hold the ingredients on?
M. Magdalene Ford When they initially launched like when Chris made this video, they were sent out to stores as one shipment for the unveiling. Once the warehouse can restock these items and the stores make room for a permanent spot in the freezer section, they will be regular installments in the line up of products. My store has been renovated and because of that has more room and the newer set up, so we’ve actually had the chicken products for a few months already. I would go to your local store and ask the store manager what is up with your store specifically. Unfortunately we don’t know what’s coming in on the truck until it comes, regardless of what we ordered and when we ordered it. I hope this helps!
lightdark00 Dude it’s legit. Check his latest melting test vid and see for yourself...or just buy it if you have an Aldi around you. It’s pretty tasty stuff, though doesn’t taste just like mozzarella. Def good on pasta and pizza though. And when I said melts beautifully, I meant that it all melts together, not like other shredded vegan cheeses that melt, but keep their shape as shreds...does that make sense? Lol
linzcarn91 hmmm, I hate those type cheeses because they don't harden back up as needed and pizza toppings end up everywhere except in my mouth on first try.
I've been making Aldi my go to place for groceries lately. We can get almost 2 weeks worth of groceries for a family of 4 for usually a little less than $100. I love that they have organic and vegan/vegetarian options.
You can boil them when they're very green, there like green plantain. They taste like potatoes. In the islands 🌴 we eat them for breakfast Scrambled tofu or Ackee pepper and onions Toast or 🍅 watercress, dinner mixed veggies jackfruit green plantains or very green bananas.
I have been shopping at Aldi for over a year since they opened up some stores in SoCal. I literally go to every product to see if it’s vegan. They have so many more items that are vegan. One of my favs are the already cooked pizza crusts and their EXTRA large bag of chopped organic kale. Super easy for cooking or throwing in smoothies.
Thanks to you! I went to two Aldi stores today. The one near me doesn't have a great selection. The newer one was amazing! It's huge! I am a former vegan who began eating meat/dairy during treatment for an illness. I thank you so much for these great videos. They and the great community of you foster have been an inspiration. 😘
please let us know if you hear back from the cookie company about whether they use bone char sugar or not. those maple cremes and mint fudge ones had me all 😍😍😍😍😍 😋
I watch youtube on my tv and havent figures out how to like videos on there, but as soon as u said ‘like for avocado’ I had to get on my phone and like this vid. 😂
I would like to take a second to say Thank You for doing this for everyone. It really help to know what to look for. Especially when some of us have a hard time sometimes dealing with crowed places. So Thank you again for doing all of this. And the taste testing that's just an added bonus. Hope to see more videos.
I'm not vegan but I am plant based. A new ALDI is opening Aug 16 so I'm loving your video as I use a lot of stuff you're showing. THANKS!! What state are you from?
The organic sugar is certified vegan in the baking section! There's also a non gmo sugar labeled "no bone char." Not certified vegan, but they are gmo free
I have been shopping Aldi for 17 years in 4 states. I tweet and write to then about adding more vegan products, fresh herbs, etc. They do listen. FYI, not all their pastas are vegan, sadly. Between Aldi, Trader Joe’s and Cosco and Amazon, I get most of our vegan food. Love and cook with their vegan chocolate all the time!
Keep in mind, the vegan burgers & cheese are a Aldi find product.Which means those products are not kept in stock. While supplies last. Also, the gluten free cookies are vegan.
I just went to Aldi's the other day and was amazed when I saw their vegan line. The cheese isn't bad, I mixed it in with pasta sauce and it melted really well. The soy patty (char grilled) wasn't good but all of the others looked so good I'm excited to try the chicken. The kale burger was actually really good, despite me hating kale. I'm so excited to see stores carrying more vegan foods let alone making their own vegan brands!
I can't wait for my local Aldi's to finish their expansion - right now they are too small to carry many of the vegan products. Fingers crossed for a Spring completion! Cheers!
For me, Aldi is great for prices. There are just a few select things that I can't or don't get there like brown rice and and bananas. The bananas near me for them are usually pretty neat up. I only use them for smoothies. Their Indian brown rice is good but it's cheap at Walmart. Aldo's is great, it just doesn't have a variety of beans and grains. It's mostly white rice, pinto beans, and black beans.
I love grocery hauls - there isn't an Aldi's in Sacramento, but there are 54 stores in Southern CA. Do you have a store called Grocery Outlet? Grocery Outlet is similar to Aldi's with phenomenal prices and selections.
Ahh my aldis usually suck. It’s pretty small honestly and beforehand we’ve only had almond milks (not even soy) and 3 kinds of vegan labelled patties. They’re a bit too spicy for me but I’m PRAYING my aldis will carry the new vegan cheese, meatballs, and chicken tenders. Lord knows I can’t keep buying the nearly $5 bag of meatless meatballs from Trader Joe’s.
Brxan Code If you find praying doesn’t work, why don’t you contact head office at Aldi and put in a request to the people who can actually make something like that happen?
update: they did have the chickenless patties, vegan burger (like 3 kinds), and the vegan mozzarella! Kinda wish they also had the meatballs and hotdogs but I'm be grateful for what they had :)
I tried the vegan cheese from Aldi today. I put it on a pizza I made. By the time it was completely melted, it was almost a liquid when I cut my pizza, and wouldn't stay on my pizza, lol. It made a puddle on my plate. 😄 The taste was ok, but it left a gritty feeling on the back of my top front teeth and the roof of my mouth. I do like their vegan hot dogs a bit better than the one name brand that's available in my area. I haven't tried their other products yet. I also got their vegan chicken patties. I look forward to trying them and their other things. They are new products, so I'm sure they will improve things as they go along. I'm stoked that they offer more vegan options!! 😀❤
Christie Nuzzo thanks for the cheese review, haven't seen it yet in my Aldi, but I really liked the chicken patties, hope you did. Love their produce, cheap and always fresh!
Judy Reynolds You're very welcome! ❤ I can't wait to try those patties. I will try them today. 😍 Aldi is awesome. They definitely do have great produce and I love that they're always introducing new products.
I've had the chikn patties . they don't taste like the name brands but they are good. You can actually see the oats in them. Lol! A lot of their patties you can see the veggies when you bite them. The garden burgers are very soft. I eat those with rice instead of on bread cause they squash down. Lots of flavor tho
glad to have stumbled upon your vlog! I have only recently started going to Aldi's and also recently started a vegetarian/vegan journey... so its nice to see all the new options to help me out :) thanks for the info!!
SO EXCITED. I usually stock up on the Gardein tenders when they're on sale but they haven't been in a while. I liked the older veggie burgers that Aldi had (the ones with actual veggies not the soy replacement) so it's nice to have more options!
Aldi is great here. They are introducing more vegan items in Ireland which is great. Their maca spirulina and cacao powder are very good quality and great prices too
Thanks for making this video and the one about their vegan line taste test at Aldi! I went there today and found amazing deals with their vegan and vegetarian items and just overall with everything else they sell! I had steered clear since going as a kid but they have really expanded. I did get the vegan chicken tenders and I thought they were pretty good for not having eggs. I'm not vegan but trying to switch over slowly so I appreciate these kinds of videos : )
I live in Germany, in the Hometown of the Albrecht Brothers in Essen. The Name Aldi means Albrecht Discount. Never seen such a huge Vegan Sortiment here in Germany.
OMG!!!! This is amazing to know that Aldi carry a entire line of Vegan products...... I am a new baby vegan and we have a few Aldis' in my area..... I'm going there ASAP!!!! Thank you sooooo much for the review!!! Grr8 Job!!!!
I do 98% of my grocery shopping at Aldi. I LOVE their store and prices. I love that they dont carry a bunch of unnecessary crap, they have tons of organic, vegan, and vegetarian options. And I love that they domt waste bags! Aldi is my jam:)
Cheers to Aldi's for climbing aboard the Vegan options train! They should give you some free coupons for this review because we are now on our way to scarf up on the new vegan items at their store! Thanks for this video!
My family loves Aldi so we're very excited to try the new vegan stuff. I think I remember getting a cart full of food there for like $63 (if I remember correctly) we've already tried the vegan cheese and the Italian sausage. We didn't realize the sausage was only vegetarian before buying it, but it was still very good. We made a casserole with some penne, the sausage, vegan cheese, and marinara sauce. We usually go to Walmart for our vegan meats and get everything else at Aldi, so I'm glad we will now be able to get vegan meats at Aldi too.
Aldis is very popular in Chicago or at least in my neighborhood can't wait to see if they added this stuff to my store. They have also had vegan mayo at one point
Thank you for this video! Aldi is one my favorite stores to shop at the only thing is most items are packaged liked crazy. I often opp for bulk stores to get items like cranberries, dates, nuts, chia seeds etc because there is just too much plastic in the ones at Aldi and I end up with way more then I need when I am just eating for myself. But some of the deals at Aldi's you just cant beat so I usually grab alot of their fruit and veggies on sale as well as things that I can reuse or recycle like their salsa in glass jars, cans of beans or the cartons of almond milk.
We also got almond milk and coconut milk creamers!!! They're special but only (limited supply) but if we keep buying them, the demand will go up, and the company will make them a part of the permanent line! I wish I could have walked you through and showed you more!
I did not know that sugar was run through bone! I wonder if Sugar in the Raw is. Btw Aldis has nondairy creamers, but they are NOT dairy free. They have a milk derivative, so you have to read ingredients at Aldis. The Valentine hot sauce is always cheap. Walmart has it in the Mexican aisle. I believe Target and Meijer do as well.
Thank you for this video. I love shopping there. I’m recently vegan and I haven’t done my grocery shopping yet so far for the year. But I will be trying some of their vegan products. And Aldi is the best place for produce because it is cheaper than all of the other places.
I'm not vegan, but I do LOVE Aldi and I do organic as much as I can. I know the kale burgers aren't organic, but man are they good! The only thing I don't like is they're pretty crumbly once you heat them up, and that's been with both microwaving and heating on the stove, I've found. But still I like them a lot, and would definitely buy them again!
I just wanted to mention that the vegetable broth you showed is the lowest price I have ever seen for it. Also we buy the whole grain loaves of bread there for 1.25 a loaf.
Whoa! There is Aldis here in Connecticut in Milford. I’m forcing the husband to drive up there this week after watching this. He will be grateful it’s not “whole paycheck” LOL for a change. Thanks for videos like this! Can’t wait to see what you have in store for 2018. Have a good one
I have a Aldi's in my area, but picked up a few items only. I find them kind of high. I also have Lidl's in my area, love that store and the prices are incredible. They have alot of organic items. Check and see if you have one in your area.
I bought all those products and I did save a lot of money at aldi, vegan food at publix is just expensive and sometimes you buy little things there but end up paying a lot. Did you try the black bean Chipotle burger ?? Beyond amazing . So is the Asian burger, the veggie meatballs, veggie hot dogs as well.
When I watch videos like this I can't understand why more people aren't going vegan. Tbf 2017 was good for veganism, let's hope 2018 is even better. Come on Japan. Let's start getting some vegan options over here

tamcon72 their almond milk is really good and it's only 1.99. We stock up on it!
I love love love Aldi. Good prices and very easy to read labels!
Even before this line came out, Aldi still carried and still does carry awesome products. I do 90% of my shopping there =)
It's Meijer. Not Meijers. There's no s on the end.
Is it really that important, Jewellz? Lol
Please do a taste test on some of these new products, especially their vegan cheese! Will be waiting to hear your reviews!
i’m really curious about those hot dogs so please let us know how they were. the field roast ones are a little too ‘peppery’ for me. i want a milder flavor.
Coming soon!
Debbie P The vegan cheese isn’t bad! It’s not too great out of the bag, but I had it on some pizza and it was pretty good. Melts well just a bit sticky.
Sarah Heverin Thanks!
Yes to the taste test !!!! Those burgers look good
Their hummus is my life
HYUMUSS
Which one do you recommend? I tried the quartet and didn't like it :(
Reed belllpepper hums
The Garden Veggie hummus is my obsession, Stephanie. But they don't always have it, unfortunately.
SuperRaeDizzle :o Rae!!! Are you vegan?!!!!

No Egg Craig haha, think we will get a shopping with momdre video outta it? Since it's a special occasion and all...
Tan and Han's Vegan Adventures no spoilers
Lets cook it up in the air fryer and do a taste test.
I won't argue with that haha I'll text you

Kroger is one of the worst. Mediocre food quality, at ridiculously high prices. Aldi sure is awesome!
I agree with you. I usually just go there to pick up my coconut water and blue chips.
I love Aldi! I just went there a couple days ago to see if I could find any new vegan alternatives; not yet!
Allllllsoooo, I open Sunday mornings at Jimmy John's and I always listen to UA-cam videos.

Confession-I keep several of those chocolate bars and put them away because you never know when a chocolate craving is going to kick in haha
ItsAshHun Me too! Gotta be prepared for those cravings!
Wow! I shop almost exclusively at Aldi, but I will keep an eye out for these now! Thanks for sharing!
Tried the mozzarella shreds. Very tasty. Gooey at first but if you bake it long enough it firms up. Should make some really good mac ‘n cheese too.
I would like to take a second to say Thank You for doing this for everyone. It really help to know what to look for. Especially when some of us have a hard time sometimes dealing with crowed places. So Thank you again for doing all of this. And the taste testing that's just an added bonus. Hope to see more videos.
I hope this applies to the UK Aldi branches too. I know that today Tesco has launched a new range of vegan food in 600 of its stores in the UK.
The southwest quinoa crunch one is AMAZING. so good.
I'm not vegan but I am plant based. A new ALDI is opening Aug 16 so I'm loving your video as I use a lot of stuff you're showing. THANKS!! What state are you from?
Aldi is bae. When they announced their Vegan line, I freaked out!
I love Aldi!! It's affordable & great quality. I'm so so happy they have a bunch of new vegan products 😭❤❤ Thank you for this!
I work at Aldi the vegan products are really good and they go fast. I usually miss out :(
Prophetess. Good idea ill do thst next time.:)
So excited for the new vegan line! Mama Chia tastes so delicious, our family loves their drinks. I hope you get to try it next time!
DreamingTata VeganMama Thanks for the review. I’m going to try one.
Ou! We just got an Aldi! New year new lines! I might have to drop by and see what's in store!
The organic sugar is certified vegan in the baking section! There's also a non gmo sugar labeled "no bone char." Not certified vegan, but they are gmo free
That's great! Good to know. I'm curious if the Benton's use it in their cookies.
So if it says non gmo, then its vegan?
Wow! This is so good, I hope they introduce these lines in their Australia stores.
I have been shopping Aldi for 17 years in 4 states. I tweet and write to then about adding more vegan products, fresh herbs, etc. They do listen. FYI, not all their pastas are vegan, sadly. I can't wait for my local Aldi's to finish their expansion - right now they are too small to carry many of the vegan products. Fingers crossed for a Spring completion! Cheers!
My mom and sisters live near an Aldis. I love that there's this affordable vegan alternative to Wal Mart for people in smaller towns. Good news.
Liked the way you show the packets and mentioned the price, hope the products arrive in our Aldi's soon.
Avocados 🥑 were nearly 3$ EACH not long ago!!!
My hubby shops for a restaurant & complains about how pricey they are
He’ll love this
I love grocery hauls - there isn't an Aldi's in Sacramento, but there are 54 stores in Southern CA. Do you have a store called Grocery Outlet? Grocery Outlet is similar to Aldi's with phenomenal prices and selections.
I haven't heard of it before. Maybe I'll check it out when I'm back in CA.
I live in Oregon and I've only seen Aldis as little convenience stores by gas stations, but we have Grocery Outlet too!
You can dowload their app aswell to see all new producs biweekly. This week they list all vegan products. 😀
Brittany Guerra I
I appreciate this because I go there often but it's so hard to figure out what's vegan. This helps tremendously!! Thank you!!!!
I have been looking for a vegan hot dog that tastes like one and the one at Aldi's is the holy grail. Perfect to me.
I love their black bean patties , veggie patties are my fave
Their mini cinnamon rolls are accidentally vegan too! They come in the tube things
I’ve also gotten vegan spring rolls from them too.
They also have Asian noodle bowls that say vegan next to the ingredients list, along with recommended adds. Might be good with the spring rolls 😊

JE Hoyes I think at the time, they already got a phonecall from god's office.
update: they did have the chickenless patties, vegan burger (like 3 kinds), and the vegan mozzarella!
Christie Nuzzo I hope my Aldi gets this stuff soon. Mine has so few veggie options I started going to another store.
BDP I hope you're store gets these products, and more options, too. ❤
There is Aldi in Switzerland too, hopefully will be filled with all these goodies as well.
I love aldis coconut spread.. love the air fryer, I have the same one
Thank you so much !! 🐢I always forget about ALDI. 🍒And I didn't know they had all these new options.
Aldi is right down the road from me I will be checking it out today. Will post an update for vegans in the Whitehaven, Tenn area.
glad to have stumbled upon your vlog!
I went to ALDIs about two months ago and it was hard to find anything vegan. Nice to know they're adding some options.
That makes me love Aldi even more....thanks for sharing those new Vegan items! Will be on the lookout for them...love your channel! :)
The Name Aldi means
Albrecht Discount.
I bought the chick'n patties and fingers and I love them. I didn't know there was vegan cheese available too, def will look for it on my next trip!
I'm so excited. I got a gift certificate to Aldi's for Christmas and can't wait until the streets clear : ) so I can check it out.
The Earth Grown Veggie burgers are my absolute favorite veggie burgers. They tend to fall apart a little but they are delicious.
If you ever find yourself in south jersey, let a girl know!
My hubby sent me this vid of yours and I went and bought all the stuff! Thanks!
The elevation bars are good . Almond milk w fruit smoothies:) and I love the hummus w the baby carrots at Aldi
Protip- they have bags of frozen fruit that are perfect for smoothies for about $2-3 each!
Wow I shop at Aldi's all the time. I hope to see some of those new products at my local store soon!
My Aldi's has had these products for a few months now and they are awesome. My favorite is the quinoa crunch burgers!
Had the black bean chipotle kind and was impressed. Loved them😍
I so have to check my local Aldi, hopefully they have these here.
I have an aldi close by n have never gone.Definately gonna check out their products.
I just subscribed and thanks for the video! We don’t have aldis in Colorado Springs but I still loved it!
Wow, nice. I wish this was available in Canada!
Dont know if you know this but for avocados and bananas if they arent ready put them in the dark like in a cabinet or pantry and they ripen faster
Love my Aldis! My kids love the chia drink and those fruit strips
Life IS beautiful!
Cool to see all the new vegan options at Aldi. My local Aldi was recently revamped, but they didn't have all of the vegan options. Not sure why... :(
I love Aldi! and even more, now I can not wait until my Aldi gets these options!. Happy New Year!!
How awesome! I wish there were an Aldi in CA
I just found your channel. Thank you for this video. I had no idea Aldi had so many vegan options!!!
I just wanted to mention that the vegetable broth you showed is the lowest price I have ever seen for it. Also we buy the whole grain loaves of bread there for 1.25 a loaf.
I wish they had an Aldi in Canada.
I bought many vegan products at Aldi in the last year. I am living in Germany, thou. I hope they will extend their vegan offer in Germany, too.
Thanks so much for posting! Heading there tomorrow!
I didn't know their line was out yet, cool.
Whoa! There is Aldis here in Connecticut in Milford. I’m forcing the husband to drive up there this week after watching this. He will be grateful it’s not “whole paycheck” LOL for a change. Thanks for videos like this! Can’t wait to see what you have in store for 2018. Have a good one
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I have a Aldi's in my area, but picked up a few items only. I find them kind of high. I also have Lidl's in my area, love that store and the prices are incredible. They have alot of organic items. Check and see if you have one in your area.
Impressive selection. We don't have anywhere near that in Australia!
