    Got a chance to set this up to run pistol! Hope this other look helps a few people out as well. I skipped a step, but left that in so you can see that you are not supposed to do that!! haha. The system works great when you use the correct adapters!! Also fixed my spring issue. Very happy about that. Thank you to everyone that suggested this fix.
    If you want to see anything else, let me know!!

    Chad, glad that worked. One thing I have done to help me save some time is After each tube, I dump the hopper into my main storage container. Sometimes the machine just messes up and will throw a piece of brass into the hopper. If you are sizing or removing primers it will be easy to find that piece. But if you are swaging primers it is not as easy to find the one that got thrown in by accident. So I just dump after each tube. Easier to dump one tube back into the tubes than to have to dump them all back in to re do. I seen you did the qtip trick also. That really helps too.

      Good tip! You saw that one jumped ahead on me I guess. I figured I short stroked it, but maybe that is just one of the quirks I need to watch for. I would have kept thinking that was me if you had not mentioned this.
      Good idea to quick dump the tub. I can start working that into my process. I got a whole bunch of cheap plastic tubs. I keep different head stamps in separate tubs and with a note for what stage they are in. Annealed, not sized; sized, swaged, not primed; etc. Helps keeping things in order.
      Thanks for watching and the great tips, Tomme!! Have yourself a great weekend!!!

    Awesome video! Thanks, man!!
    I actually bought the 4-tube case feeder system immediately after watching your first, 223 video.
    I've got a few things to share:
    1)Supposedly Lee has now upgraded their spring to be stiffer.
    2)Lee had an issue with the black plastic base being too wide on the earlier models which made the slider stick a lot.
    3) the coallator works best when you drop empty cases directly on top of the "Mushroom" piece.
    4) The 4-tube system & using Lee tubes: wrap one thickness of black electrical tape on each end of the tubes for a nice press-fit onto the adapters.

      Hey, Robert! Was hoping you would see this one. Had some rain that weekend, so I got back to working with this again.
      That is cool you picked one up!
      That is great that Lee upgraded the spring. That was my biggest dislike.
      I can believe that about the base causing cases to stick. I had trouble with the original version. Assumed it was my cases being dirty though.
      I will remember that about dropping on the center mushroom (good name for it😂) That's a good tip to keep in mind.
      Good tip for people using the 4 tube version!
      Thank you for checking out this one. Next I will use it for my 6 Creedmoor match ammo, or test the swage kit. Those are my next 2 main plans for using this for videos. I ended up getting a lot of 9mm cases ran thru and ready. Gonna need to show off the other press soon!
      I hope you have a great week this, Robert!!

      Thank you, Walter. I try 🤣 Now that I have some brass prepped, maybe I will have to do some 9mm loading again!!
      Once I get things set up, I plan to do some lives from the loading room. Getting things ordered this weekend to set up monitor and all the stuff needed. Then we can all hang, chat and look at my cool toys!! 🤣

      Thank you, Alex! I did too, but saw this kit and it upgrades the little arms that grab the brass, puts a deflector to keep them from jumping forward when they drop and 6 longer tubes with a much better collator on top!!! I am always looking for ways to save some time!

    Chad, I didn't want to go to a restaurant and get a coffee stir. And I didn't have any of the wd40 type straws. So I looked around the shop and spotted my spool of Weed Eater line! Bingo worked like a charm!

      Dude! That is a great idea! Everyone has some spare trimmer line floating around. Another one of my weekend jobs, lol. Mowing after work tonight and then do some edging in the morning. I have put way too much time into my yards the last 8 years. Slacked off the last 2 doing more shooting stuff, but still have best yards in several blocks around me!!
      Great idea to solve this little issue. I like it!
      Thanks for sharing, and great to see you over here!!

    That's a slick gadget. If I had one, I'd have to rig up a pneumatic piston to run the handle for me. 😁

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  9 місяців тому +1

      That could work!! Would sure save the arm workout 🤣 I posted a short trying to run the handle as fast as I could. Was going pretty quick! 15 pieces in less than 10 seconds. Can maybe go a little faster, but I would have shaken the camera a lot.
      This is a great little system to quickly do a process without dirtying up my main pressed.
      Thanks for watching, Justin!
      Have a great weekend, dude!!

    • @DocJustinT
      @DocJustinT 9 місяців тому +1

      @ChadKelly7 , I saw your short video with the speed cycling of the system. Very slick! I could have used that a few weeks ago when I ran through nearly 4,000 223/5.56 brass, one by one. This is from a batch of military brass I got, so now I'm going through them all again to remove the primer crimps. What a pain in the butt, but it's almost all Lake City brass so I'm not sad at the extra effort for heavy-walled brass... and the crimp removal is a one time deal, so next time I can go through it a lot faster. As for tumbling, I'm toying arounf with the idea of getting a cement mixer since I load in huge batches. LOL! Oh, cool news... the head honcho of the long range team at my club (which has about 3,000 members) suggested to me that I try out for the team. Woohoo! I hope you have a nice weekend. It's supposed to rain a lot here, but I might still pop down the hill to the range for some recoil therapy.

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  9 місяців тому +1

      @DocJustinT Congrats on the invite to tryout for the team! That would be great!!
      Good luck on that and hope you make it!!
      I do have a swage kit for this APP. My next good size batch of 5.56 Lake City I do I am going to set that up and see how it works. It has done everything great, so I am sure it will work well. Very easy to zip thru a good size batch and get those pockets swaged!!
      Looks wet here again this weekend as well. I really need to work my positional skills, but if I can't I will be getting stuff figured out to set up things in my loading room so I can livestream from there in a few weeks. Need to do my 1,000 sub celebration and giveaway soon. Going to set up so we can hang out and chat and load some ammo together in the future!
      Also, going to build one of the PRS Skills stage walls. Dad has some extra 4x4 metal that I can make the frame from. Trying to get the positional skills better!!
      Busy weekend, even if I'm rained out 🤣
      Have a good one and see you on the next one, Justin!!!

    • @DocJustinT
      @DocJustinT 9 місяців тому +1

      @ChadKelly7 , thanks! It was cool to get the try out invite since they keep the team members pretty tight. I'm definitely going to have to look into getting one of those presses, if anything else for future big batches. I hope your weather cooperates for you so you can get in some range time. The live stream and loading chat sounds awesome! Right now I'm just loading on a so-so work bench in my basement, and it works fine but I really need to get off my butt and finish my gun room. I scored a deal on two butcher block counter tops (25" x 8' by 1.75" thick) that I'm going to build into a fancy loading bench in a spare bedroom. I just need to build the bases for the benches and anchor down those hefty counter tops.

    • @ChadKelly7
      @ChadKelly7  9 місяців тому

      @DocJustinT Sounds like you have all the major supplies in hand! Get to building!! I am single, so I have 1 bedroom for clothes and storage, 1 that turned into loading/filming room with 3 work benches now!!! I have my queen size bed and computer with 3 monitors in my living room 🤣🤣 Yes, I am very weird. Benefits of being single, no kids, don't date, don't have people visit my house. I can do whatever I want with my space 😂
      Best of luck on the team. I am just hoping to get the basics down better in these local matches then go to Ninnekah for the real PRS sanctioned matches in a few months!! Want to have the positional stuff down better and my own load worked up before I travel and miss work for a match. I will get there soon though, I think. Goals, baby!!! 🤣
      Have a great Friday!!!

    Hi chad.. I was watching Walter/Viejo demo Lee APP and, had to have one.. (embarrassed to say its still sits unopened in my shop). I do have to set it up and put it to work. Thanks for the tips.

    • @ChadKelly7

      It is a great little press for doing 1 task very quickly. I really like it. I like to deprime before cleaning and sizing, so I can keep the dirty job on here and away from my main presses.
      Only thing that bugged me was that spring being inconsistent. The little fix I show here totally solved that issue!
      Get yours set up this weekend and get to having fun with it!! Holler if you have any questions on it. I'm sure me or Walter's would be happy to help if anything comes up.
      Have a great weekend, Doug!!!
