Hi, I was wondering if this can be installed on a stud that is running along the ceiling (towards the front of the room). How would one go about doing that? I need to have two screws in the stud but you want them on the screws opposite each other on the mount as opposed to in the same alignment correct?
I had heard with the JVC and 9ft ceiling I should use a rod to lower the projector a bit to help with lining up with the screen. Do you find this necessary?

Yes. You could use two lags and two 1/4" toggles.

Can you use this with an Epson LS 12000?
Yes. Not an issue at all.

Yes. Top of lens to top of screen is ideal.
