I'm guessing this was shot before John's trip to the West coast and his eardrum rupture. I hope he's convalescing and wish him the best and a speedy recovery. We always need more Bohlinger.
Shows how much of a world class player John is, not just a great interviewer. My opinion, it woulda been great to have Brian Tiche on drums and John Paul Jones on bass
Saw Jared and his band at recent Sweetwater clinic/show. Not only a phenomenal unique guitar player but first rate class act. He was wonderful with kids, positive, encouraging and just extremely humble and grateful soul. Keep it up Jared!
Bought the gold glory 2 years ago, and at sweetwater the other night at Jared's clinic too. Hes signed both for me and they're monster guitars. Hes super nice and a phenominal player. Great all around dude. Also, the weight between my gold glory and blues power is an exact pound. The blues power is lighter. I asked him if these were weight relieved and he said no, but was impressed at the light weight when he picked mine up.
Gibson of Nashville doesn.t guarantee there instruments. FROM the previous owners .And I doubt they will now.Unless you buy a custom shop beauty. In the years before 1982.You could pick any Gibson guitar hanging on the wall .And it would play like these custom shop built are. And even in the 1970,s the same BUT previous owners ran in the back alley trash giant
JJN is an awesome dude, but you know he's lived in Nashville too long when he name-drops as much as he's doing right now. Seriously, Nashville has made name-dropping an entire artform.
Gibson's semi-hollowbodies like the ES-335 and ES-339 have tops and backs constructed of layers (either 3 or 4) of maple veneer. My understanding is that the veneers are assembled in successive cross-grain layers with the top layer having its grain longitudinal to the length of the guitar. The tops and backs are approximately 1/4" in thickness after layup.
JJN is the man! I had an original Old Glory that I put a seymour mini hum in and it was fire. Regret selling that. Let's get Epiphone to do a reissue with the new specs and SILENCER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!! Take my money! LOl
It's barely any different and the original Gibson open book headstock design is their biggest flaw. Can't keep one in tune for nothing. Lame ass legacy bullshit still holding back a great guitar.
I’ve got that Gold Glory one around somewhere. It’s pretty good. I certainly can’t play it like that but. The blue one looks good but….Noisless pickup and locking tuners YUCK! Keep it.
Yeah I have a gold glory laying around somewhere. It’s pretty good. But keep the noisless pickups. I pulled them out of two Strats I have. Right in the trash. Same as locking tuners. Flush them down!!
$2,000 for an Epiphone is obscene!!!!!! Don’t get me wrong they make some cool guitars like their own designs like a Casino, Sheraton, etc. but a Gibson Les Paul and SG by Epiphone....hell NO. You could almost buy an early 60’s original SG Junior with the single P-90 in it for not much more than that epiphone. You can get a really nice used Gibson for that amount. I’ll never be convinced that an Epiphone LP or SG is worth more than $500 absolute max! Some people’s gimmicks like playing a pour mans Gibson is ridicules.
@@RyanAmplificationfirst off know the history of epiphone before you open your mouth and stick your foot in it.. epiphone was never ever meant to be a budget brand in the first place and they weren't until Norlin ruined them when they took over Gibson..JC Curliegh Restored Epiphone back to where they should have always been in 2019 get used to it..go buy something you can afford

This was filmed after on Wednesday 11/1.
Hope he's better now. We all need more John Bolinger's videos.
You're great John!!!!
Oh no :( wish him the best
Jared James Nichols is the most authentic classic rock style guitarist in many years.

Jared is amazing and seems like a great guy! very inspiring!
No magic instruments, only magical players.
Saw Jared and his band at recent Sweetwater clinic/show. Not only a phenomenal unique guitar player but first rate class act. He was wonderful with kids, positive, encouraging and just extremely humble and grateful soul. Keep it up Jared!
No artificial ingredients. This is music for full grown adults.
Ole Jared is a monster player he wrings the juice out of every note plays with such awesome tone and Vibrato
Phil X also likes 1 pick up guitars. John Norum is a great player.
The most enthusiastic spokesperson for any product i've ever seen. I really believe this guy.
They can't play off each other. They are in need of a drummer.
Who here is now hoping for a album collab from these two.......

I could barely hear Bohlinger.....c'mon sound guy get with the program!
JJN Please address the Dorothy Les Paul controversy. The guitar is not rightfully yours. And Gibson....shame on you.

I still think Epiphone needs to re do the black Les Paul sig
Still a bit amazed Jared’s meat claws fit around a guitar.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Best signature guitar demo by an artist….ever.
You got a kit. Where the hell is the drummer??????
Saw JJN in Glasgow a few weeks ago......Now I have a Gold Glory!!!! Amazing player & seems like a great guy!
Rock on!
Props to the soundcheck guy...
indeed. I hope they get well soon and are back in the office for the next session.

Pre ordered the Pelham Blue in Australia. It’s pretty pricey but I’m looking forward to getting it.

What year is this? Cool, man!
Guitarists under 6'-5" need not apply for the stage! Lol. Thanks for the great jam.
Today is the 10th anniversary of the Washington tornado that produced Dorothy, Jareds 52 Les Paul
JJN is such a monster player, I could listen to him play all day for a year. Nice job outta Johnny B too. Thanks Gibson and guys
Tune the guitar man.
Wow 💫
I’m not sure that dudes arms are going to fit in those leather sleeves much longer, I’m worried.
Fingers only…no flatpicking allowed ….Jared is a down to earth cool guy👍
Who is Jared James Nichols? Never heard of him...
Nice Licks....would definitely sound better on a Telecaster.
Epiphone should make a lefty for us poor leftys
Yep I'm in love it
That headstock it’s still ugly 🤷♂️

Said no one ever!!!! I own quite a few of both, and it’s night and day. Except my Sheraton, that thing is smokin’!!

Does not sound good with boogie amps. I knew it.
Being at Gibson garage. Gibson owns boogie now😂

$2000? He said he paid $2000 for a Gibson on reverb. Bought it with his wife’s credit card.
