I was there as a neutral participant, I didn’t plan to show up but I just so happened to stumble across these protesters and I decided to follow them, and why not? It was very cathartic being in the multitude, the music alone was pure rapture, though the agenda was not quite so significant to me.. all this to say I’m surprised how peaceful the whole ordeal turned out to be, I was definitely on guard given the nature of the situation but I would say this was a very successful protest (as far as what a protest is supposed to be)

I’m a 53 year old white woman, Uber driver, I drive around there every day about 8-12 times, traffic is usually jammed, it’s Michigan Avenue, yeah, but nothing unusual here in this post. Stay safe everyone.
If people don't take a stand for their rights then they have none. Sometimes it's the only way to be heard and seen, acknowledged. Quite people are often overlooked.

This is not a "massive" protest in front of the DNC convention at the 1800 West block of Madison Avenue. First of all it is not massive. Second, the area around The United Center has been cordoned off 2 blocks in every direction with the United Center in the middle of all that. 300 people, or thereabout, is a small gaggle compared to 1968. I was at the 1968 protests, and this is "Kiddyland" compared to what took place back then. The amature on the screen can't be taken seriously. This is hyperbole for its own sake. This reporting is a joke. Not only is this a joke, what is being shown here is nowhere near the United Center. This shot is somewhere near a bridge by the Chicago River at what looks to be Randolph and Upper Wacker Dr. So it's about two miles from the United Center.
Democrats want it both ways. They said they support Palestine but told Rashida Talib to be quiet. Rashida came here LEGALLY and was voted in by her district that has a large population of Palestinian people in Michigan and yes she's a Democrat. Her own party talks on both sides of their mouths. One day they support Palestine the next day they don't. Of course Rashida is going to support her people you know the ones who elected her. By tomorrow we will probably see people protesting a variety of issues.
