Basically. So many people living in such a small area.... most places are tiny and many over priced. So finding a good, worth your money, comfy kind of spot really does pick up notoriety.
Let's use our brain for one second, you have small places, it's a city so there's no parking for cars, people are on foot, lots of people in a highly densely populated place, hmm, I wonder why there are lines?
No, as someone that makes my own egg salad sandwiches I learned fast that if you spread it all the way it leaks out like mad, doing it that way when you press down it evens out and doesn't spill out.
As someone who have been to Japan many times. This restaurant is shaming Japan in many ways 😂😂 considering the "price", can't they make a better representation of the food? All of this food can be easily bought in Japanese convenience store for cheap! 😱 The least they can do is to make it look just a tad bit fancier. Or make it cheaper!

Food is personal. So food memories play a big role in what we perceive to be good or better. She's just respecting her mom. Try eating with Italian's. Absolutely nothing is better than the way their mom made it.
Enerok never criticized the video...I saw enough that interested me to give it a try. Just didn’t find her many comparisons to her moms version very respectful of the restaurant she’s reviewing.
She says "my mom would never perfectly boil a duck egg...no shade" meaning no shade to her mom. She's essentially saying this food reminds her of her mom's cooking but elevated to restaurant standards and there's no higher compliment than that.

Yes. Unless you're just sitting at home with all of the ingredients and nothing else to do. If you're walking around the city and you're super hungry then total deal.
You have to put in, employee wage, restaurant rent, utilities, restaurant insurance and the food cost. All of these things are not cheap, specially not in New York.

Your NOT in the restaurant business are you?? You have NO logic in your statement, 6 cents to make?? Do your research before posting. 6 cents maybe in 1960.......

I ate more egg salad sandos in Kobe City when I lived there for four years than the entire 25+ years of my life beforehand lol. Milk bread is just amazing and really makes the experience delicious. Even 7-11 egg sandos are better than anything you could get here in the states they’re that good. Porku katsu sandos are my favorite though especially after a long night out and it’s 4am and you’re delirious at an izikaya close to home lol. Good memories
Japan has some of the strictest quality standards for eggs in the world. Their eggs and the tasty richness of Kewpie mayo would make for an amazing sandwich.

Why I'm watching even though I hate egg salad? Ugh 😯
Right now, for me, everything in NY is mostly expensive :( (i mean in my country, $10 per day just for food is that i already feel rich).
I wonder how much they sell these for?
Me : I want to go there!
Also me : *Does not live in NYC*

Konbi in LA makes those sandwiches but better!
kai hes Bon Appetit’s #1 Best New Restaurant in America!! 👍🏼👍🏼
It doesn't even look close to the real thing.
Mostly because eggs in Japan have orange yolk, whereas the yolks are yellow in America. Not really something that can easily be fixed
They just got that 🥪 at 7-11
Why cutting the crust off? What is wrong with the crust?
I really hate when people can’t take a full bite of a sandwich so they take a little ass bite of the bread 😂
