Can You Build a FUNCTIONAL Ocean Rock (Sea Stack) Base in Palworld?

I tried a different recording style with this one, probably gonna go back to how I recorded the others after this one!
I built two functional sea stack bases in Palworld with no mods. This creative base build was a lot of fun, I especially enjoyed the first build. Epic base, cool base, aesthetic base, cute base, cozy base you name it we can build it cus my name is bob!
Palworld the new fun exciting game that does not resemble the other P game at all!!

They definitely would need a mod to fix foundation placements, so you can place foundations so long as it touches the ground, and not need to be the same elevation as the other connecting ones.
for sure, foundation placing can be super frustrating and tedious sometimes lol
There's a few mods to remove restrictions on placement already, though I haven't tested any of them out and they require either Cheat Engine or scripting to be installed prior to use. Would recommend against using them at the moment given what the developers have stated as far as future changes if you plan on building in places we weren't meant to build in such as in the area near the Great Tree or Giant Tree; Not sure what the official name for it is. Also advise against using said mods in multiplayer at all.
I wanted to do this too the moment I found those spires in the middle of nowhere east of Wild East Island. Considering how kludged resource and breeding bases can get, having your main, manufacturing base as a vanity project seems reasonable.

i was looking under the map for good under the map bases, there is a cool lava lake under mount obsidian that you could probably build on, not sure, it burned me to death

Vanilla you can pet your mounts while hanging from areas near lava and then ride them right away to get under those areas for those that don't know. Something in the game disables the damage from lava though I'm to currently certain what it is as well. You'll also have to make sure you line up the foundation properly to build above the lava/water. Makes for areas that can't be destroyed easily, though I'd keep in mind that enemies can and do spawn under the lava. At least unless your build radius is covering the entire area. As far as building under water, any pal you can jump into the water while riding will also get you under it, and it's a bit easier to get under water than lava as such. You just have to dismount while you're under the water line which can be tricky to time with some ridable pals.

As long as the game recognizes one of the parts there as ground, the answer is yes. This isn't always clear vanilla as some areas like by the giant tree are, but some ground areas under the map aren't, and they also sometimes conflict if there's restrictions in the area if it's defined as water. Not sure how it's coded exactly, but even if it's defined as something like water, you can generally build under it at specific heights to build above it. That is, you can build under both water and lava to build over water, but the connection points can't be at that level. Sorry, I've been up kind of late and running my fingers too much. just takes some practice is all! One thing I can recommend to start is, say you have like a 2x2x2 box, pick a corner right or left and just delete 1/4th of the build. It just lets you start seeing a bit more dimension etc

hmm I wanted to build one on the third stack anyways, maybe I could do a tutorial with that one instead of just a walkthrough? 🤔
I would just wait, i bet when they add some new islands our level cap will be raised and we will probably be given a extra base slot, im actually wondering if they will add in something like gold or platinum ore to be used to make any new tech they have hinted at... i also wonder if they will add any back pack upgrades you know like 1 that gives you more slots and 1 with reduced slots but increase weight capacity
new ore and tech are things im definitely hoping comes! and ohhhh backpack upgrades would be sick!!
Quick heads up, you don't have to mod the game to remove the base caps if you're comfortable using memory editors such as Cheat Engine in single player use. That said, "Duck's Progressive Bases" is probably the best mod for that purpose for use with both the PC version of the game from Steam and GamePass/Microsoft Gaming. Doesn't require the use of any scripting tools or modification of the game. Just drop it in I think "~mods" as described in the correct path for the version of the game. Mod also doesn't need to be installed for the bases to continue to work if the same save was used for single player on the console version if you wished to continue playing there. Didn't test out, nor look into, how it's modifying the game, so don't know if the cap is permanently removed with the mod.
Side Note: I don't know if the changes will survive patching or not. Do know both methods are only impacting the save file for the majority part.

yeah for that specific situation tho I think it was because there wasn’t even a full foundation between the entrance/wide doors and the ledge
what is the name of the mod to add more palboxes?
“Duck’s Progressive Bases”, there are different versions, like 1-5 extra every Palbox upgrade and stuff
