- Average Joe's Sports Talk went to Pell City today to go one-on-one with Coach Rush Propst.
We discussed what led him to take the job at Pell City and what his vision is in both the short and long term.
Coach Propst said "Every single kid will play in a new uniform, a new helmet and new shoulder pads. When you invest in a kid and treat them like a champion, that's the only way they will ever become a champion. We are putting 1.5 million dollars into our facilities to get them up to par. You have to think ahead 15 years when it comes to facilities because what's good today will be outdated tomorrow.
I am bringing in coaches who have gotten it done at all levels of football. We want Pell City to become a place that turns out multiple kids a year to play college football and in that process we will win a lot of games in doing so."
This interview is proudly presented by Adam Hammond - NMLS # 202682 - Movement Mortgage.
I wish nothing but the best for this school, the football program, Coach Propst, and his family! He obviously knows what he’s doing, let’s stop focusing on his past and show him, and his team, the respect he deserves!
Pell City is going to the next level with Propts in charge. The sacrifices will be great but so will the rewards!! How fast it happens will also depend on if the players fully commit, and the parents and community get behind him.
Good luck to Propst and Pell City.
He must have 9 lives like a cat.
They will win a state championship within 4 years
From a pure football standpoint there needs to be more coaches like him. From and off the field standpoint he should be used and lesson on how not to live. from a political standpoint he should never be heard.
Pell city will be back. Probst is good
GOAT
pell city also needs a good fight song instead of that generic fight song multiple schools play as well
