Cool video thanks. I’m doing a 97 xr400 right now. Race Tech suspension, linkage, steering, carb. As well as valves, I was looking at your video and saw .04 on your feeler gauge when you checked your valves. My manual says .10 mm or .004 inches. Just for clarity why did you choose .04? And was that inch or mm? Thank you very much
Awesome man! Iam doing a 1997 xr400 to the white one right? But thanks alot i did not see that i set the clearance wrong so this probably explains why the engine shuts off when it gets warm. Iam currently working on the next video and that was an big issue. Thanks alot and goodluck with your xr send me some pictures when your done with the build!🙌
Hi, nice videos, two days ago I bought one xr400 and your videos are really helping! Can I ask you what did you use to clean the exhaust pipes to make them look that great, and the air filter? Thanks a cheers from Spain!!!
Nice xr400 are great bikes! I used a steel wire wheel on a drill to shine it up. The air filter i bought it in china somewhere for 10 dollars and used good motul airfilter oil. To clean the airfilter box i used a cheap grease remover called dasty in a yellow bottle works great. Good luck with your bike!
