Gmelina & Melon Seed Repots: Dave's Bonsai E437

In this episode, I repot two tropical trees. One I needed to check why there wasn't any percolation of the water, and the other, just felt like the right time.

Now that is some super growth on the G. Great repot of the G.. You are right. Always best to be cautious than to stick the tree into direct sun after a repot. Pruning for some nice growth will make this into a nice looking tree.

Well. I’m not going to do too much on this one is like Nigel saying i think the root pruning is done. Then with both of you cool guys we all know that means let’s keep ripping in. Love it 👍😄🦘🇦🇺

Gmelinas root easy and during the winter, I toss them in water and by spring I plant them in soil. They are my favorite!

For a quick fix for the small leg holes, what about using a hot glue gun to fill it? I have the stuff for aquariums, but for a simple fix this might be cheaper. Just a thought.
