I’m going for her. The Divine units have proven to be just so darn good, and I missed the first 2. I hate tier lists on principle or “best units” qualifiers, but if I was to dabble, I’d say that NY Sarafa is the single best unit in the game. My opinion of course. So yes, getting her to A3 way outweighs Divine Fio.
Fio is the only character that could convince me to spend, I went to pity but atleast I got one costume! I’m glad she’s shifting more towards damage dealer but I miss when she was more support/healer focused hopefully they shift back towards that direction
Between being my favorite character and the uncertainty of Divine units repeated availability, I had to skip the NY banner initially to pull for her. Got her at 110 and spent the rest on New Year. I managed to get Griff so my subjugation wind team should reach SSS+10 once I get them both leveled up.
I pulled and was lucky to get her on 20 paid pulls. I hate that the last step is 5000 gems nowadays, so I was really happy to save those. About NY, I would get Yudil, even though I haven’t used him much and don’t see him as often as I thought in arena as he seems to have been taken over by Rion. The one I’m seeing a lot besides Sarafa is divine Yudil and he can really make a difference against another Sarafa/Rion/Marie team. It’s been hard to save up for anniversary this time.
I imagine you won’t see NY yudil on defense teams almost ever at the moment due to his random targeting making his CS kinda pointless. I do wonder how many people are using him on offense given that the rion defense situation also wastes his effect as well... I guess if rion isn’t there yudil will be mvp. And I thought about the combo with divine yudil because I love using him anyway, so it’s cool to hear that it’s effective!
ugh, i want her so badly, but i think it's saving time. even tho shes not my favorite character i definitely have a soft spot for her, i feel like she just *deserves* it especially with her divine costume. my advice with absolutely no testing at all for your Sarafa/Yudil situation is almost definitely pickup Yudil A3, and then whatever left you have for Sarafa, go for it I suppose. I think Yudil is just too important in this meta as an answer to Sarafas without waiting the entire duration of your opponent's sarafa to finish in order to win. Just too slow in final hour especially. I think he needs to actually do something besides the compromise as well, so being able to snipe with that bold vigor seems very important. Sarafa at A0 is still super scary, and at least on defense, nobody knows what your awakening is, and they have to prepare and act as if it were A5. imo that's 90% of the job done already, so if you have to skimp on her and just leave her A0, i think thats fine. If you want her for offense (where i do think shes a bit of a trap-not bad by any means, but a trap) then push for those awakens i suppose. Debris are always nice, but I would prefer Yudil in this meta over her debris. aaanyway. I really wish i had the heart to throw a yolo or two at Fio, but i just cant bring myself to do it. never know, might need those gems to finish the pity on a future banner, and id kick myself if i came up short XD
Cool thanks for the advice! And while Fio is great, I didn’t even get Akeha or Yurie from this series, so it’s not like I have a completionist fomo happening. Great but an easy skip, especially since I’m not chasing PVE scores.
NY Sarafa ruined arena for me. The NY banner in general soured me on the game and now I hope the game shuts down after the next story update. Had a good time while it lasted, but my days of enjoying this game are over.

I've spent a lot of time, effort, and money on this game and I want to see it through to the end. However, with these recent (mostly Sarafa related) updates I'm hoping the end comes sooner rather than later.@@Zepertix

When do they add the other Divine costumes? I would want to pull for every Divine costumes but, not this time with that NY lineup 😅
This one is the fifth one to be released. Not sure if there will be any more but they could always start repeating elements!

I understand the sentiment of it ruining arena, but don't you think hoping for the game death is a bit far?
