Where were you able to get such a large chunk of balsa?! I don’t recall my hardwood dealer ever having this in inventory. Nice piece of chat on a wood known to us all as kids but we forget about it!

Thank you for your comments. I purchased that piece of balsa wood from Gilmer Wood Company in Portland Oregon. They supply many exotic species including balsa planks even bigger than my piece. It’s mostly a mail order operation.
