Unfortunately for those unaccustomed to using that 3M sticky tape, it fails under high heat though one would think it would adhere better. It would be best to add a 3mm screw and nut combo to secure it by drilling new holes in the remaining black stem piece thru secured and then put it back together. Other than that well done job. I am wondering how the effect will last in a time based analysis. Like the look, but, when you said its only for show I was admittedly a lil disappointed. Please let us know about your results in the GSXF Forum.

These lights are highly illegal. Under no circumstance would they not be for show only. Blue and red flashing lights are never allowed on the road on a civilian vehicle, period. That's why I put the demon eye inside WITH the regular legal headlights, so the bike can be legally ridden on the road and pass state inspections. You can probably get dancing LEDs that would double as legal headlights, but they won't be $20 on Amazon, they'll be a custom build by an auto lighting professional costing you around $1k a pair.
We'll see how the tape does. I watched at least a dozen videos of professionals doing it all their own way, including using only tape. Only time will tell! It's easy enough to take apart so if it fails I can repair it and do an update.

@@lisaskatesIRL Fair Enough, considering I work in a data center that uses that stuff it lasts MAYBE 2 years tops due to hot aisle temps and humidity. All one can do is find a better option when it fails. Why would you think the manufacturer used adhesive instead of tape? The video even shows how durable that adhesive is.
