  • Once again, it's Wednesday, so it's time for another installment of "Western New York Wednesday" here on the channel. This week, I'm doing a comparison review of two beers from Griffon Brewing, and it's their NZ Sunrise and Fierce Haka Dance. The former is a New Zealand-style IPA, while the latter is a West Coast-style IPA that is dry-hopped with Rakau, Motueka and Nelson Sauvin hops. I haven't done this in a long while, but it's another showcase review, where I take a look at two beers from a brewery that I've never featured on the channel before, and Griffon fits that bill. What do I think about these beers, and which one do I prefer? Let's find out!
    Commercial Description:
(NZ Sunrise) - Citrus aromas with notes of blood orange, white peach. Soft finish with assertive bitterness.
(Fierce Haka Dance) - West Coast Style IPA with an all NZ Dry Hop consisting of Rakau, Motueka and Nelson Sauvin. Aromas of White Wine and Gooseberry, balanced bittering which transitions into White Grape and Cannabis.
