LakeForkGuy I live in Austin. Would have loved to fish Travis with y'all. I fish it every weekend. Up by the damn you can catch nice stripers early in the morning. I know some spots that hold some good largemouth as well.
I reel left handed.. I am right handed so the rod is always in my dominate arm.. To me it makes sense to flip right handed and reel left so that you're not switching hands after each cast and risk missing that bite in between the switch.!
You and ninety-nine percent of all anglers who use spinning rods or baitcasters. They're made to be used this way. That's why they're all set up this way at tackle stores.
TNBassing I do the same and all of my friends think I do it the wrong way. It doesn't make any sense to work a bait with my uncoordinated hand and trying to set the hook with my left hand is pretty ugly...
TNBassing I'm right handed but I was raised to cast left handed and reel right handed. My dad did this because he said the same thing... You shouldn't switch after every single cast and take time doing that and could miss a quick strike.
Dang you're in my neck of the woods. Travis has a TON of dinks but give it a couple of years and should be some big bass. That's the launch at Cypress Creek.
ive never been able to afford a boat that I dont paddle myself . ive thought about puting one on my kayak , but they cost more than it did. I catch nice sized fish consistently , so feel im good without one. if I fished tournaments , id surely use one though. great video.
Welcome to lake Travis I put my Jon boat in at that ramp every weekend just about. Nice to see you guys doing so well here. Go check out decker lake fish the reeds. Also check Georgetown my little girl and I have been catching em there. Larger average then Travis at least for me.
Retrou Vailles I was wondering the same thing. I pretty sure I tie the same knot but never knew the name. LFG, do you end up clipping three tags ends? Well one loop and a tag end.
Justin, I commented on one of your vids yesterday about the way the big bass events are ran by bass pro shops. They run no marshalls, 320 dollars a boat, and no designated launch area. Just seems like an easy way to cheat for those not so honest anglers. What's your thoughts on that?
I know and it's sweet. I've been fishing out of canoes and kayaks for about 8 years now.....without the option of a boat. Do that and then get back to me....
That's not left-handed, it's right-handed, at least around here. .It doesn't make sense to switch hands with a baitcaster, anymore than it does with a spinning rod. I have no idea who thought it was a good idea, and started setting up reels that way, or why anyone who uses a spinning rod would then think switching hands with a baitcaster made any sense.
Depends on how you hold the baitcaster and how long you've been fishing. If you completely palm the reel you pretty much have to change your grip between the cast and the retrieve. The two ways to do that are to walk your casting hand up the rod or simply switch hands. So what does how long you've been fishing have to do with it? If you started fishing with a baitcaster 20+ years ago, there were no left-hand retrieve reels and you got comfortable switching hands if you were a right-handed caster; so comfortable that anything else seems unnatural.
Fishing has been unfair for a long time. There aren't many anglers left, just computer technicians who don't even know what fishing is.. Another ten years, and you can stay home and send your gear out to catch the fish while you drink a beer and watch a football game.
Pretty solid 1st day on the water with Mike and Tom

Yup I fish the dam. there is a place you should go. You need a kayak or some man controlled boat
just got to go below the dam
I go fishing almost every 4 days. it is usually the dam
Justin, love the collaboration video w/1rod. In my opinion... two of the most passionate fishing you tubers out there. Can't wait for the next one.
lake fork guy !!! favorite bass angler on UA-cam, such an humble and incredible angler!!! You and bama bass would kill it together!!!
LFG + 1R1R = TX Guad Action! Great video and action.
Tom R. is a great TX tourney guy too.
He needs a new rod though. LOL
I reel left handed.. I am right handed so the rod is always in my dominate arm.. To me it makes sense to flip right handed and reel left so that you're not switching hands after each cast and risk missing that bite in between the switch.!
TNBassing I'm the same way
TNBassing finally someone who thinks like me!

I'd love to catch a Guadalupe bass they look so cool that really sucks that they don't get big though...
I like that concept reel though
What kind of jig trailer is the pro using at 4:04? I see a lot of youtubers use it.
Reddington was actually pretty funny about his hi-tech camera.
Dang you're in my neck of the woods. Travis has a TON of dinks but give it a couple of years and should be some big bass. That's the launch at Cypress Creek.

+LakeForkGuy I live about 30 min from falcon. Straight motivation every time I watch it!
ive never been able to afford a boat that I dont paddle myself . ive thought about puting one on my kayak , but they cost more than it did. I catch nice sized fish consistently , so feel im good without one. if I fished tournaments , id surely use one though. great video.
There are a ton of big Cichlids on the dam at Fayette
Oh my GUAD!!!

haha Mike said, "Oh my Guad!!!" hahahaha!!!
Hey LFG, do you have any plans for fishing lake conroe or lake amistad
Justin, what kind of knot were you tying at 15:35?
Retrou Vailles I was wondering the same thing. I pretty sure I tie the same knot but never knew the name. LFG, do you end up clipping three tags ends? Well one loop and a tag end.
Also wondering...
I use those knots
Retrou Vailles looks like the san diego jam knot
Would have been a doubled San Diego Jam, but that's what thought, too.
LFG, Lake Conroe anytime soon?
Travis has changed bro, 28lbs won bass champs this weekend
wondering did go back for Tom rod??
Oh my guad!
is a bug mini jig a good bass bait
What is that knot at 15:33?
How far down could you see in the water?
Guad bless America!
Have you ever caught a fish on a Huddleston?
Not yet
Hey LakeFork i as wondering what the biggest rod you brang onto Southwest airlines
Did you replace his rod and reel?
What 13fishing reel where you using???
live in branson man fish the big 3 lakes we have here table rock bull shoals and taneycomo
I fish left handed bait casters. And I'm right handed.
Left Lane Outdoors i fish right handed and im a lefty with baitcasters. Spinning reels left handed
Much smarter, don‘t waste time casting and not changing the rod to the other hand.
What time did he drop mikes rod int the water
LOL. Oh my guad!
Love for a reply love your videos

Bob George obviously curado.

Did you guys ever find Tom's sunken rod & reel?
+L.I. Archer it's a goner. You can watch the wide angle of it going overboard on his channel
LakeForkGuy and yyttrtttyuquwuuuuuuuuuuuiiuuuuuiiiiiiiiioiiiiioiiiiiiioiooooooooooooooooppppppooppoygshshsh
I got a scientologist commercial on this vid... lol
Are you allowed to use that type of fish finder in a tournament?
That left handed is badass ,right?? Set with the Stronger hand!!
How many times did y'all say the word "quad"???
Oh my Guad
o my gwad!!!!
dab dab savage dab
I fished a tournament on Travis last weekend and 17.9 pounds won it
Casitas or caenan?
Citica for 149 or curado 200i for 129?
Some guys switch to their other hand to give their main arm a break if they're fishing all day.
Nice, just don't use your stick bait near hippie hollow. Lol
I lost count how many times "guad" was mention lol
Wow I'm early!
Did he say it was like all good on losing the rod or did you pay him for it or what? Haha
+I have him a fresh reel out of my truck, still feel bad though Jeffrey Colvin
Hey lake, why don't you try kayak fishing some time?
Dragon Gaming would you ride your tricycle if you had a Harley? Lol!
Why not? Still fun, I'd prefer a bicycle
If I'd bought my Hobie PA before I bought my bass boat, I probably would not have bought my bass boat. My yak gets probably 4x more time on the water.
He has a Hobie PA14. Look back through his vids. A couple of months ago his boat was out of commission and he fished exclusively from the 'yak.
I know and it's sweet. I've been fishing out of canoes and kayaks for about 8 years now.....without the option of a boat. Do that and then get back to me....
@LakeForkGuy I would flip if you and @ScottMartin to do a Panoptix video.
Watching this makes me wish Mike would have stayed in the googan squad.

Swans good
Has anyone ever told you that you look and sound a little like Steve Rinella?
I caught the JAWS quote don't worry lol
Someone count how many times they said "guad"
That smelling fish us really weird.
Drink every time someone says "Guad".
RIP $500 combo...
