Tad Leger, original Toxik drummer writing. Displeased records unfortunately wasn’t familiar with Scorpions and mid labeled this song
This is a cover of He’s a Woman, She’s a Man. If whoever posted this would make the correction, I’d be very appreciative

Exactly Tad. This song originally was featured on the "Taken By Force" LP of 1977 by Scorpions.

Yes. We were all huge fans of Scorpions and Accept, who took their style to the next level. Restless and Wild defined Metal in many ways

Back in those days, if a gutsy agent have booked you guys to tour all Europe, you would see how popular you were. Glad you did those albuns. It still stay with us your marvellous music. Hailz to that !

Thanks. Unfortunately, our record label refused to give us ANY kind of tour support. So we could only play what André in Holland booked for us. And because of no tour support we would come home broke. All the money made went to pay for flights and hotels during the tour. Was the same when we toured with King Diamond in the US. We got a $15,000 advance payment for Toxik shirts and we used it all to finance the tour. That's the life of a Metal band :(

Yep - bigger tours are like the situation you describe. Now, it haven't changed much. There's always someone promissing a tour with a bigger band even if not exactly on the same genre/style your band is. The problem is
that these type of guys ask thousands in advance just as comission. The best thing for a small band today is to do their own management and to arrange things the best way to spend the lesser money possible. If someone wants you there at least the place to sleep and food should be arranged. If the travelling costs are also arranged that's beautiful then. There's a percentage on the tickets ? That's great. If something fails you always have the records and merch to sell inside the hall from the lot the label gave you. And the band also have to save money for these future opportunities when something goes successful. Metal went underground comparing to the 80's. There's a lot of bands out there and to play out of the frontiers is always a challenge. But it's always a reward when your music is apreciated by people you weren't expecting anything.
