I wanted a SLO 30 as my next amp but this is actually not more expensive and seems more flexible, maybe i'll get one later this year. 15:58 is the best combo. Just about enough of everything, while maintaining clarity. Really digging your boost prototype and the amp sounds super good too. Nice video :)
Thanks dude! 💪 yeah the idea with the boost pedal is to have a Swiss army boost that can manipulate an amp and boost the right frequencies but also isn’t overly distorted or have TOO MUCH of anything so that its easy to use.
Killer run-through, Taylor! "Forward thinking" is exactly how I would describe the Prometheus too. And what I know (and have seen) from Daniel is that he's always a step ahead. Very well thought out and crafted circuitry. He's a wizard. I need a Prometheus!

taylor is that the tube combo you’d recommend? 2x EL34 / 2x KT88 it sounded really good and your pedal sounds awesome too! very cool to collaborate with a company like this one
It's the combination that we recommend! If you don't need that much headroom for low end stability with extended range we'd say 4x EL34 will easily do as well! But any other combination is possible and will give you slightly different results :)
Just know those speakers have a lot of high end but they sound amazing when blended. Obviously you don’t have to because they sound amazing by themselves
This thing sounds ridiculously good. Kind of like the best parts of the 5150 and 2-Channel Dual Rectifier combined. Specifically it reminds me of how the Rev D Dual Rectifier I had sounded with a tube screamer in front. Tight as hell, but with -real- 3D midrange, like a vintage Marshall has
Them decibel levels though lol I have a JP2C half stack and I can’t sit as close as you are to that thing. It’ll take my head off, sounds great down low too though.
The vintage voicing is probably meant for using actual distortion pedals as a boost, in addition to actual vintage voicing for things like classic rock, doom and sludge. The vintage voice lead channel used with a Medusa pedal as either a boost or in 4 cable method would probably sound SIIICCCCCCKKKK. The vintage voicing would likewise also work well in tandem with the bright switch and a metal zone into the preamp defeat mode to double or triple track some black metal.
@@lichtlaermaudio good to know lol. Double tracking the Medusa in 4 cable on the vintage voice and then using a precision drive or King in Yellow to boost the modern voicing, or just dialing in a tight sound on it's own as several UA-camrs have shown is perfectly capable, and using those two sounds to layer for double or quad tracking would probably be amazing, too.

@@danielringl8501 Do the MIDI presets only affect switches/channels or are all the knob position/values preserved as well? Pretty insane if so...pretty much at feature parity with modeler presets.
Only the channels, voicings and features (loop, gate & vintage/modern) - we looked at different options of making potentiometer-settings storable but they all came with massive drawbacks: zipper noise, digital interference, jumps when turning the knobs or being just unreliable / prone to failure at higher voltages. There is a bunch of reasons why we decided not to do it in the end - and these reasons seem to be the same why you don’t see other amps that have these features making the waves out disappearing from the market after a short time!
