Hi guys - it's Rabea
I did completely forget to edit the title from 'Use Somebody' to 'Molly's Chambers'
Everybody makes mistakes right?!
Please do Lynyrd Skynyrd
Sound like Rise Against!!!
You should be used to the all seeing eye that is the UA-cam comments section :) but seriously... Ha, you messed up!
I wanna see Bea trying to do DragonForce 😂😂😂
You also made the mistake of saying that Kings Of Leon are cousins when in actual fact they are four brothers. 😜🤘🏻
Sound like Weezer without busting/busting the bank please!
that'd be awesome!
That would make a great 'sounds like'!
I COULD GO FOR THAT
degenerate I have a feeling they'll go for the Blue/Pinkerton era, so for guitars, I feel like they'll pick a HH Strat for Rivers, and a SG/Tele for Brian.
degenerate YEAH!!!
Yes..... I know It's Molly's chambers and NOT use somebody.... I forgot to change the title - and it's really annoying!
All the comments are people saying, "do sound like ___" but there's not enough appreciation for this video. The tones in this video are godlike, and if I had to pick a rig, I wouldn't be able to decide.
Andres Castillo sound like everclear
They are not godlike tones. It's a poor effort.
Sound like Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead
again, I agree
I double agree. Again
Yes please
Yes please!
And Ed O'brien
sound like mac demarco !! god bless
Fender guitar>boss chorus (preferably ce2)>fender amp (preferably twin).
Sounds like the who without busting your ear drums
yyyyeeeessss
In that case they should bring in Nate from their bass series so he can do John entwistle, what a tone he's got!
Given Pete Townsend's use of cranked Hi-Watts, I think an Orange Tiny Terror or OR15 would suit the task.
For John I would get an Explorer Bass with wire strings, however, it depends what particular Pete sound you want. For the early stuff there's a lot of 12 string but for the Tommy era he used an SG with P90s and then a les Paul from who's next onwards. He uses a strat now
If it's not destroying your hearing, it's not authentic to the who
Requests:
Steven Wilson
Opeth
Ritchie Blackmore
Eddie Val Halen
Opeth!
Sounds like the Smiths, guys, please, thank you!
I second! Jonny Marr!
Yeah!
^^^
Yes yes yes!
+goldwold hate to be that guy, butt... *Johnny
black sabbath pleaseee
YESSSSSSSS
I just hope they don't use a gibson SG when they eventually cover Sabbath
+Bill Kakoulidis How come?
Kendoji1
Tony Iommi doesn't use Gibsons. Most of the time he plays his Jaydee oldboys, even though he has a signature Gibson which is no longer being produced, and an epiphone more recently. Also people do comment on how Gibson guitars' quality has dropped the alst 3-4 years, and personally I Watch this series to learn stuff. They could demonstrate something that sounds similar or at least close to Tony's sound.
Yes!! TONY IOMMI!!!!
You guys need to do a Sounds Like:
The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
Coldplay
Bruce Springsteen
The Eagles
U2
David Bowie
Queen
ZZ Top
Yes
Def Leppard
Fleetwood Mac
The Police
Elton John
Paul McCartney and Wings
Creedence Clearwater Revival
Eric Clapton
Jimi Hendrix
Van Halen
At 16:50 it's not Use Somebody, it's Molly's Chamber :) You messed up a bit haha :D Still great ! I was waiting for this, my favourite band! Cheers from France!
Yep! I did!
+Rabea Massaad sound like Randy Roads.
+Rabea Massaad do black sabbath!!! would be awesome
chambers*
I watched this vid for the first time, and instantly I was like, that's Molly's Chambers. You caught it along time ago, and I caught it in the future. Pretty shit on their part, but the rest of what they do is nice.
For those who have been fans of KoL since early/mid 2000s, go see them live the next chance you get. Matthew's guitar playing has grown immensely over the years and is amazing to see live. He has done solos that aren't recorded on any of their songs. Truly an underrated band.
Do a Sound like Guthrie Govan !! pls...
Yeah he's awesome :)
Not so much, actually - he's had his signature Suhr for several years (with something like a Badger amp or a Cornford), and now his signature Charvel (and Victory amp). The gear he used with Steven Wilson was more dictated by SW, so for Guthrie's actual own rig, you'd need to look at The Aristocrats, i'd think.
@rabeamassaad came back after almost a year, I have nothing to say about the sound (you're always spot on!) but, man, now that I'm used to your new you, well, I'm impressed about your body transformation.
Congrats, man! Awesome work.
lads, i find it a bit weird that youve done blink-182, and not Jimi Hendrix
Because Jimi Hendrix is a overhyped and overated guitar player
I mean... He is not bad at all but is not that "god" everyone says he is
Carlos Delgado he was the best, because he was completely original. How many notes he could cram into one bar had nothing to do with it
+Carlos Delgado lolwat. You're arguing that Blink are more historically significant than Jimi Hendrix? Lmao.
+Carlos Delgado what are you talking about the was the one who changed the electric guitar, without him everything would be different
+Oisin McPhillips ^ Wise words my friend.
the riff at the end was Molly's Chambers from the young & youth manhood album, just to clarify
Youth and young manhood*
Do Radiohead!! Please!!!
I agree
for Jonny use a telecaster cos jonny uses one a lot but it'd have to be the squier deluxe model as used in the sound like tom morello video cos jonny's tele has a killswitch installed, use a phaser for the electric riff and 2nd solo in paranoid android and maybe even use a Digitech whammy pedal cos Jonny uses a whammy in the live versions of paranoid android, that's all i've got really
sounds like the stone roses
YES!!!
JOHN SQUIRE
I scrolled down to check for this before posting - thrilled to see I wasn't the only one with the thought!!
Yes! Fucking amazing band, saw them at MSG in June!
I actually just bought their self titled album on disc the other day and it's really good...kinda wish it was remastered though :/
Jonny Greenwood! Or Tame Impala!
greenwood!
both!
Tame impala needs to happen yeew
SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH
PLEASE DO BLACK SABBATH!
Needs to be done.
ALICE IN FUCKING CHAINS. I HAVE REQUESTED SO MUCH. ALICE IN CHAINS.ALICE IN CHAINS.ALICE IN CHAINS
sound like the cure anyone??
BOYS. DON'T. CRY.
I second that emotion.
i know Robert has a signature Schecter called the Ultracure but andertons don't have it so something like a Fender Jazzmaster or Jaguar should do well, to get his Just Like Heaven tone is a challenge cos he uses some chorus and reverb i think, maybe a tad delay but it should do well
sounds like catfish and the bottlemen
that would be sick!
Yes! Definitely
I vote this
+Harry Howlett probably not catfish uses pretty different rigs
YAAAASSSSSS
Do Smashing Pumpkins! 90s era preferably - Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie tones!
Sound like Opeth
Totally!
Yeah! We need this!
Yeah! Do it!
I will see your Opeth and raise you a Riverside!
they have to play deliverance, that has some of my favourite opeth solos i know
Classic British Alt-rock band "The Smiths".
C'MON DO IT
I'd Love to see you try Coheed And Cambria
yeeeeeah! :D
Yep!
I'd like to see/hear some of that goodness!
i've been asking for coheed and cambria for ages! would love to see that
I was about to recommend the same. Do it!
so weird hearing Supersoaker without Jared's hefty bass!
Rachel Cadet Yeah man. Jared's bass lines are so good it outshines the guitar in many of their songs.
Abhishek Basnyat ugh yes, but it's what makes me love them even more!
Sound like Dorje without busting the bank AND with busting the bank !
ehm chapters and rabear did on on robs channel for andertons
Chapter and Rebear!?! Hahahaha!
Ohh come on...you know what I mean! :P
Humbucker 007 I'm still remembering that :3
Yess
sounds like Biffy Clyro!
Sound like primus?
might be difficult but
Claypool or LaLonde? Or Cock?
Primus sucks!
+Tanner Newport Why not.
get Dave in to do the bass for it
please sound like Tony iommi. legendary nub fingered guitarist and subsequently one of the people who popularized dropped d tuning alongside the Beatles and Zeppelin. Ozzy's right hand man and father in-law to the guitarist from HIM.
sounds like:
Alex Lifeson/RUSH
Ritchie Blackmore/Deep Purple
George Harrison/The Beatles
Pete Townshend/The Who
Please do a sound like Buckethead and ZZ Top Cheers!
I love Kings of Leon. Jared Followill is one hell of a bassist. Probably the most underrated of all time, he adds so much flare to the songs without being overpowering or intrusive.
do an srv !!!!!!
pleasssssssssssssssssssssssssssse
Can't match his tone cause of the way he handled the guitar with his hands. One of the hardest tones to replicate imo.
great video. one of my favorites. any chance you can do one for Tame Impala?? Milky Chance??
Kevin Parker has a difficult tone cos of his mountains of fx
STONE ROSES NEXT PLSSS
Biffy Clyro (Preferable both Simon Neil and James Johnston)
Do radiohead please
I agree
yes!
Please
Please do sounds like Catfish and the Bottlemen!
Pearl Jam!!!!!
How have you not made any Radiohead one yet??
Didn't realize how much Use somebody sounds like Mollys Chambers before this video...
Hahahaha - aaaahahhhhh You're all not gonna let this drop you guys!
You should do green day!
Or Misfits!
How about a Sounds Like Soundgarden or Deftones, or Smashing Pumpkins?!
Saul Rivera they should do Pumpkins by busting, use a strat & a reverend and the op amp muff reissue, it would sound awesome
Some suggestions that would be sweet. Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jerry Cantrell, Jimi Hendrix, Zakk Wylde, 3 Doors Down, Anthrax, Disturbed, Def Leppard, Steve Vai, Megadeth, Stone Sour, Theory Of A Deadman, Sevendust, Boston, Breaking Benjamin, Machine Head, Gin Blossoms, Pearl Jam, Skid Row
Sound like Linkin Park please!
I'd love to understand how to get the compression and gain right on LPs tone
Riff: Molly's Chambers not Use Somebody on the last little bit :)
PEARL JAM
agreed!
Yes!
BEST ONE YET!!!! KOL IS THE BEST!! The last song was Molly chambers lol not use somebody
As always, Sound Like Gary Clark Jr please!
Sounds like Stone Gossard and Mike McCreedy from Pearl Jam please
Sounds Like Modest Mouse? Sounds Like Johnny Marr?
Visual sound route 66 thats what Mathew uses for ages now..its really cheap if you consider you have a compressor and a ts style drive in one box
tom0750 they've missed the Line 6 Verbzilla too most famously used on Knocked Up.
sound like Alabama shakes
BEST AFTER WORK SURPRISE EVER. Fuck yeah guys, cheers for this one!!
sound like the Beatles
When it said Use somebody you were playing Mollys chambers 😂
sounds like the smiths!
the beatles!
Not a biggie, but 17 mins in the riff is from "Molly's Chamber" not "Use Somebody". Great job as usual though!!
You guys should really do Korn. I'd like to see how to get their sounds on songs like Freak On A Leash, Falling Away From Me, and Here To Stay, among others!
i wanna hear Here to stay
would be happy to see a sound like biffy clyro
ps, love this videos.. :D
greatthings from luxemburg :D
one of the most overated popular bands of the past few years
Hell no! They got some really good songs, go listen Arizona, Black Thumbnail, On Call, Closer, The Bucket.
I hate the Bucket. Closer is their best song imo, yes i have heard some of their stuff and i still think they're massively overated
Well to each his own, it takes allot of creativity/talent to make such big/catchy hits such as Sex On Fire, Use Somebody or Radioactive without having like 12 producers.
i wouldnt go that far.. 12 producers.. in my opinion, you're giving them too much credit
You can't say someone is overrated when they sell out nearly every gig they play and have sold the number of records they have... someone must like them! haha
Hey guys, guitar noob here.. I was wondering on how should I arrange pedals in a rig? Lets say i have an overdrive, reverb, delay, compressor, boost pedals, how should I arrange them in order to get the best tone? Also why do some amps have an effects loop, and what kind of pedals are usually used in the loop?
Do a sounds like Green Day
agreed!
+
for billie joe get a Les Paul Junior by epiphone cos the gibson is much too expensive racking in at about 1000+ or a fender strat in surf green cos billie joe had a strat like that with lots of stickers on it and the other guitarist who i've seen sometimes but i forgot the name of also uses a les paul, so get 2 different epiphone les pauls or a les paul and a strat, that's as far as i know
+Gary Yerace the epiphone Junior has a humbucker imstead of p90s so the strat would be best but it should have a humbucker and Billie had it installed at an angle but that'll have to do Jason plays 2 les Pauls his main one with p90s
No "Sex On Fire"? :(
Could you please do a sound like Van Halen, Satchel (Steel Panther) or Jimi Hendrix?
Sound like Randy Rhoads or Tony iomi
sound like Chevelle...or staind...rabea would get to show everyone his baritone chops
Sound like sonic youth.
Do the Grateful Dead: Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir
Sound Like Weezer...
16:41 This is NOT Use Somebody!!! Holy Hell. This is Molly's Chambers. smh
Do a sound like buckethead
I'd love to see them solve the killswitch...
Either that or Anderton's will soon be selling an "ex-demo" white epi Les Paul with a busted toggle switch.
Yes please
You could use a EHX Chillswitch that is basically a momentary footswitch that acts as a killswitch if nothing is put in the loop. It is like £35 as well.
Which of his hundreds of albums would you like them to mimic?
*****
they should really just do a selection of their choice. Of the 2 Buckethead albums I have listened to I usually listen to them straight through so I have no idea about tracks.
Sounds like john petrucci without busting the bank! (If thats even possible;))
Sound like pearl jam, sound garden, Eric Clapton, jimmi Hendrix
I've got a tough for you guys, sound like Kevin Shields from My Bloody Valentine
This video actually got me to go listen to Kings of Leon and I never knew how good they were, great job on getting the tones. What if there was a "Sound like..." bass series, trying to sound like famous bass tones?
What about a 'Sound Like The Rolling Stones' but live ballsie 70's stones...
I think you guys made a mistake you played Molly's Chambers but labelled it as Use Somebody.
Sound like Tame Impala (First two albums)
Please consider doing a Sound like Foals, Tame Impala or Radiohead!
Bit upset you didn't touch on their gorgeous ambient tone they fronted throughout OBTN
toto-steve lukather
gary clark jr.
black sabbath-tony iommi
Here are some sound like without busting the bank videos I'd like to see:
Pete Townshend
Aerosmith
Soundgarden
Brian May
Jimi Hendrix
Alice in Chains
The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
U2
Green Day
Great job guys. Always enlightening.
How about sounding like Radiohead next?
Please do Brian May or Van Halen without busting the bank
Pete Townshend
Johnny Marr
The Cure
George Harrison
Sound like:
Gary Clark Jr.
John Squire from the stone roses
Tame Impala
Awesome video guys. Can you do The Cribs please?
Could you do sounds like Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead?
Sound like Avenged Sevenfold Please. Thanks.
Sound Like Biffy Clyro
Sound like James Valentine from Maroon 5? I think he's a pretty underrated guitarist...
he has a signature Musicman but it's way too much money so i think a Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster should work, and he has Suhr amps which are insanely expensive so in that case a fender blues jr, his fx range from a ZVEX fuzz factory as used by Matt Bellamy of Muse, he has a fulltone OCD, an MXR Slash Octave Fuzz, EHX Pog and he used to use a Zakk Wylde Wah and he had a Dunlop rotorvibe
Please do synyster gates and zacky v from avenged sevenfold!
sounds like NUNO BETTENCOURT!!!
the smiths
Sounds like Bullet for my valentine?
sound like weezer without busting the bank
