- Several viewers asked me to have a look at the new Adamascus ADX True GMT from WISE.
I must say, the watch does not disappoint. From its finishing to the wearing experience its right up there in quality feel.

Watch featured in this video : WISE Adamascus ADX110 True GMT
Thanks for watching..
I have already discovered this beautiful watch and will order it next month. Thanks Peter for your great videos !👍
My pleasure 😇
Compared to any other microbrand, I think Wise has more models I'd really like to own. I already have the bronze/blue AD8 diver, and it's my favorite watch to date.
A lot of watch for the money, but polished link bracelets are not my thing. Thanks for the review.
If it was a Christopher ward it would be a couple grand
I really wish gmts that have the 24hr scale on the dial, choose a dive bezel instead of yet another 24hr bezel. I get more utility out of the dive bezel than tracking a third time zone
Ive got the GS gmt and it tracks 3 times zones...
I dont think I will ever use the thrid time zone either Steven..well said bro 👍
Gorgeous watch! I agree that it looks like Oris as much as Rolex. I had the Aquis GMT but sold it in favor of the Seiko sharp edge GMT (a true GMT watch). I prefer this Wise at half the price of the Seiko.
The brand font on the dial should be replaced by their logo instead.
I think they didn't taped down the bracelet to 16 because the watch is rather edgy.. But I still think 16mm would have been a game changer..
I am desperately looking for watches with 904L steel.. Ball offer some but they're too bulky or not captivating ..
what is the time accuracy daily of the watch??? +/- second a day ?
"nailed it out of the ballpark"? Mixing your metaphors, old boy.
"Old Boy" is the word here...too many hours not enough sleep...in the words of Joe Biden....I'M TIRED 😂
@@PeterKotsa But I have a couple of WISE watches, V good value.
@@PeterKotsafunny Biden statement coming from an Aussie! We believe the same in the US.
Nice watch, but I hate the name.
I wish they’d just use their logo on the dial. Their font looks so cheap.
And first
Why do you care?
@@typebflieger doesn’t happen often to be the first, just having some fun ;) btw type b dials ftw
Congratulations mate 😊
I can see you slowly becoming Wise spokesperson haha
Not a spokesperson for any brand but I was the first UA-camr to introduce this brand to the West around 4 years ago 😊😂
давно уже стал
Absolutely gorgeous watch and for its price, an unqualified bargain. However, I have one gripe and it has to do with the bracelet end-link. In my humble opinion, it offends the eye since it doesn't line up with the tip of the lugs. A female end link would much improve its aesthetics.
I almost ordered this on early pre-order at $ 600 USD but didn't. I went back and forth between this version and the brown bezel colorway and ended up doing neither.
But I'm happy with my Jack Mason Strat-O-Timer with the same movement.
Nothing wrong with the Stratotimer..enjoy 👍
@PeterKotsa The Wise watch looks fantastic but I decided one 9075 GMT was enough.
Wise is for one of the best MB, if not the best 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great video... I did not know about the brand until now... the watch looks awesome... I will buy one when back in stock... thanks
Another stunner from Wise. I don't want a GMT, but that looks good. Miyota engine a plus too.
Amazing review . I have a seiko Prospex GMT SPB383 with a cost of £1400 and is not even a true GMT, bracelet isa joke at this price level. Against Wise at a £548 . No brainer
Great review Peter! I do smile at the odd mixed metaphor ‘nailed it out of the park’ is a favorite❤
I really love wise designs, but the hour hand has a layer of complexity that just doesn’t work for me - a simple match to the minute hand would be so much classier to my eye.
Cheers👍
haha beat me on the mixed metaphor - that's his Greek heritage shining through!
Cleaning one's watches is one of the small luxuries of life.
Thats true..this one might need it more often than not 😊
2 WISE in my collection and the only complaint was I didn't know about the hidden place under the main upper section of the case where the extra links and tools were when I first received my Hitman. By the time I received my ADX i was 'WISE' enough to know 😆 Beautiful watches and with each being hand assembled adds to the allure. Microbrand prices with premium band character. ⌚🌟
Too blingy for my tastes, but great looking tool watch nonetheless. Fingerprint magnets are more frustrating than satisfying for me. Thanks Pete.
Purchased this watch based on yours and several others reviews. Very happy with it so far but will agree with you on the bracelet taper would be a nice improvement.
This watch definitely has Oris Aquis GMT DNA. Infact the AD8 also gives me Oris Diver 65 dives. Wonder if others have picked up on this.
Not a complaint as I love their take on it and the value they offer for a quality watch. Thanks for the videos
I thought about tje Oris too... even the letter type of tje logo ... both incredible watches but to go to the Oris must break the bank
It's a beautiful watch. But what kills it for me are the polished bracelet links, this even is exacerbated by the fact they're made of soft 904L steel.
Is it me or does 904L seem to attract smudges and fingerprints more than standard 316?
Scotch brite, I do it all the time with polished stuff I don´t like, simple
@@Timetrends-n5t that will do the trick 👍
Got the brown gilt one. Amazing watch. A bit blingy and fingerprint magnet indeed, but quality is outstanding.
Excellent build, but as you said, it attracts fingerprints like mad...
Enjoy it for many years to come 👍
@PeterKotsa Thank you! Forgot to mention that the Rolex-y bezel was the reason I bought the brown after all (as it’s a color Rolex haven’t used AFAIK on their bezels), even if the green one caught my eye first.. :)
@@shamanprime same here.
I love blingy watches. Why are watches supposed to be boring? Where's the fun in that?
@@shamanprime Rolex have the Root Beer but don't let it distract from the watch that you have. Do enjoy it.
Nice watch still not a fan of a polished line of links up the center of the bracelet though. bracelets get hammered daily, brushed on the bracelet is the only way to go.
This is a great looking watch! Fantastic price for this too, really impressive offering
Peter, thanks for introducing me to this brand. I was fortunate to pre-order this model with the black and brown bezel....i got it this week and love it!!
Great unit,..enjoy 💪
72 click bezel is a little odd. There are no 20 minutes offset timezones, as far as I know. There are some 30 min and 45 min.
Maybe someone can chime in.
In this price range I think they found a bi-directional bezel that wouldn't break the bank. Some micros are so lazy they go with a uni-directional and call it good.
@@jackblah5842 Aah, well, that would get it all to make more sense. I would just have assumed that someone was established as Wise would be able to get a hold of 24 bi-direct bezels
This, like the Flyboy, is not going in a stylistic and functional direction that speaks to me, but it still is a convincingly attractive piece. The price for the true GMT is objectively excellent (similar to Henry Archer's new one, which is even better value if I remember correctly and I'd stylistically prefer to this). I wouldn't know if this knurling mimics Rolex, but I can say that I find that it suits the watch. So much so, that I'd say that I wish the rotating bezel wasn't there to make the more attractive and less chunky, but that knirking even if not functional, could arguably stay. Makes no sense, I know. What I would like to highlight is the hour hand. Now that hour hand, even more than the recognisable 'hamburger' of the AD8, feels even mroe at home with Wise. So much so that I find myself wondering if all AD8s to date would have been better with that style hour hand! And although I realise it's associative thinking, I find this hour hand arguably quite Thai in style. Beyond that, I actually tend to agree that this watch might have benefitted more from a less fingerprint prone bracelet with only polished accents. Normally I don't mind popished centre links, but I think more limited polish would suit better here.
Great review. I was very close to ordering this a few months back. The price is spectacularly good for what you get. In the end, I had my doubts about the shiny surfaces (polished ceramic and center links) which make the watch look like it’s trying too hard to be noticed. No thanks. With some different finishing choices, this could’ve been a bold, sporty, tool watch instead of a disco ball on the wrist. This review confirms that I made the right choice.
Disco ball on the wrist...love that analogy 😂😂
The dial coloring and indices remind me of the JLC Polaris, which is a fine things (I won't say this is in any way an homage). The green lumed hour hand against blue lume elsewhere is jarring.
Hey Peter, I’ve got a question; Isn’t that “X” on the date wheel supposed to represent the X in _ADX_ as this is the tenth watches in the Wise AD series?
If it does I wasnt aware of it..thanks for bringning that to light 👍
@@PeterKotsa I don’t know if that’s true, that’s why I was asking, but it does seem likely. It’s still a cool Easter Egg regardless of its origin.
The most expensive watch I've been able to afford so far is the Longines Spirit Zulu Time GMT. Now i bought this exact Wise and am A: questioning my entire collection and B: am afraid that when i will inevitably buy a very expensive luxury watch i will regret it if i compare it with this...
It’s very similar looking to the Monta gmt, which is a stunning watch, but way overpriced. This looks and is priced perfectly.
That is a good-looking watch.
Just one more small gripe. It only has a 1 year warranty. Probably no big deal using the Miyota 9075 movement but I think 2 years should be the minimum warranty.
Wise are impressive and have stepped up into a very competitive space. The price puts them outside of the AliExpress range of watch brands which was a clever play for a young Asian brand. Great job building a better product.
Wow! Wise are bringing out some stellar pieces.
Peter Kosta for Wise Ambassador ☺️
I don’t think they can afford me 😋😂
I can’t get over how terrible the logo looks compared to the watches. The watches are brilliant and priced very competitively but the logo just screams aliexpress homage brand and it’s just terrible.
Minus those polished mid links on bracelet its a win !
.... "the X Wise factor" should be your title mate!😜 But why 72 clicks bezel? Purpose of that?
Yeah didn't think of that X for sure 👍
As for the 72, its also left me in a bit of a dilemma here bro
I wish the lume on both hands was the same colour, so the time would be easier to read
There Is no alternative to a Rolex unless you climb higher on the snob appeal ladder. But I wear my more economical watches way more often that my Rollies because they tend to be more fun whereas Rolex is more iconic.
Nicely said Marc 👍
Peter, another great video, thank you. Do you know if ordering the watch from EU, VAT will be applied? Do they have an EU store/warehouse? It's a very good price but if VAT is applicable it's going up to the 1K range price..
Not sure, I think you have to check either with the local authorities or Wise themselves
Just ask them the question
Sponsored or not, it is very obvious this is a fantastic watch! Design may be a personal taste, but originality and delivery are 10/10! I would pick a Wise watch over, for example, Christopher Ward watch 100% of time. Most of Wise watches sit around 700$ mark and for what they offer, it is still a bargain.
Agreed..👍
Hi Peter
I have been following you on UA-cam
On your recommendation, I have purchased the same watch,it has been a nightmare, not just the long wait, when it came to pay the custom and Excise unable to complete the form to pay with my credit card ,in the form you have to choose your country (uk) it just wouldn't allow it
I have emailed them several times, and the same thing keeps happening. I'm going to have to cancel order
Oh thats terrible Andres, I wish they would sort this sort of stuff out for international buyers. What an absolute shame..
The hour hand is a deal breaker
You either love it or hate it...I suppose its become their signature hour hand
I love the hour hand on this particular watch but can understand different opinions.
It's not even really that crazy, just original
These microbrands are absolutely blowing Seiko away
I cant imagine the cost today of an equivalent Seiko in this same spec..
Amazing looking watch. I reckon the gmt hand could have the green Lume.
I’ve found compelled to wear mine most days, interestingly has caught a lot of people eye cause of dial where most watches no body says anything. But I would agree I’d like a bit more taper but nevertheless wears great. I took a bit of punt on buying it without trying it on but definitely glad I did purchase it. It’s definitely one of the better watches I purchased over the years
too small. fortunately. 😁
I am starting to be this way about watches too...glad they aren't the "right" size for me! HA! (my poor wallet)
@@josephkelly2964 the "trend" of small watches is actually great for our wallets. LOL!
@@saf00 quite true!
The reason they chose a Rolex looking bezel design. Having owned many different watches is it is the best feeling. IMHO
Preordered this exact watch and it's a great GMT! Can't say enought good things about it! Great review!
Woah Wise are certainly upping their game! Great video as always Pete!
I think so too, cheers Phillip👍
Beautiful watch, and I can't wait to get mine, but how has no one mentioned that (minus the hands) this looks exactly like an Oris Aquis GMT?
A lot of watch for the price. I like it very much! Thanks Peter. 😊
Cheers Jon, be well 👍
YOUR WELCOME!!!!!!!
This watch is insanely cool. And I think you can take even another $50 off the $720 presale price. Thanks for the great review!
Even better value at that price, for sure 👍
💥Peter, What is the color of the GMT hand in the watch you presented? 😊
Orange 🍊😋
@@PeterKotsa 👍🏼☺️Very nice. And can you write what is the daily accuracy of the mechanism ?
@@Cybex. This one is running at +2 to +3 sec per day
I was able to try on a watch with the Miyota 9075 and it works very well.
WISE is such a great upcoming brand. Love ‘em.
Thanks for sharing this one.
About time they fixed the bezel. I thought my bronze adamascus had a fixed bezel.
I wish they used the 2nd lume color on the bezel numbers and gmt hand. 🤔
@peterkosa thank you for the review. how does this watch compare to the Jack masons stratotimer ?
I’m getting the updated Stratotimer in for review shortly, stay tuned 👍
Big fan of Wise have my eye on one of these, for a while.
What a Beautiful watch.. love the ADX120 too.. Great video and pictography as always Mate!!
Glad you enjoyed it Eshwar, cheers
Absolute perfection at a give away price. This one is constructed at a level similar to the Pitzmann 3, another watch I yearn to own.
Looks like a Formex Reef, but good😊
Wise has to get high marks in the affordable microbrand category, for their finishing as well as their attention to feedback/market demand. We picked up an Adamascus AD7 as a graduation present for my son, since he's half Thai we thought it would be memorable, and it looks fantastic on the wrist. I'll continue to pull for this brand in the future.
Thanks for sharing, also a huge congrats on your sons graduation 👍
How does this stack up against the Monta . Respectfully
Interesting comparison..I think regarding quality the Wise has seems to really have excelled here without the high cost as compared to Monta. The Wise looks and feels like a watch you can still be wearing in 20 years from now..
Great review Peter! Besides a bracelet taper to 16mm, I would have loved this watch with an option for a 60-minute dive bezel. I don't necessarily need to track two additional timezones (one is fine), but I do need a wrist-based oven/gym timer 👨🍳🏋️♂️
very nice, a half price oris aquis?
What incredible choice we have at the moment for GMT watches. There's this, the new Timex and Nodus all using the same movement just to name a few.
From Titanium to 904 etc...choices are always a welcomed thing 👍
Bought it pre-order for $600, loved it! That said, dang it's a fingerprint magnet.
The lume is magnificent, and that bezel click, yummy! Wore mine on a rubber strap mostly, I'm saving that bracelet for special occasions.
I would say this is a straight copy of the Oris Aquis GMT, I think it looks really nice and that grey is the one i'd go for
Well apart from the different handset, completely different indices, lack of integrated bracelet/different lug design, date window position at 6 as opposed to 3, polished centre links as opposed to brushed, 41mm vs 43mm, completely different crown guards and different clasp design I'd say you had a point.
It does look a little like an Aquis's homage
Hi Peter, does it feel chunky on the wrist? I'm just worried about the lack of taper on the bracelet and the clasp looks quite big/wide.
I ended up selling my Erebus Origin 41 because it didn't have enough taper and felt too cumbersome on the wrist. Like you said I much prefer bracelets that taper to 16mm. Thanks!
It would be a win it if the bracelet design allows for an easy swap to after market straps
The bracelet is quick release from what I have seen on the website
I love its looks, and for a true GMT an excellent price.
Now that good cheap GMT movements are available, it's cool to see all the great microbrand watches using them!
Couldn't agree more Alix, this one feels like its built to last
cheers brother
In a way I'm pissed Miyota released the 9075. I was done trying cool looking GMT models as I personally can't stand the caller GMT. Now we're finally seeing seriously solid offerings with this movement. I was completely happy with my very expensive traveler GMT now I'm back looking at the micros.
06:02 I see what you did there
I've been contemplating between this or the Henry Archer Verden GMT. I'll wait for your review of the HA before deciding. I hope you get the review one soon
Hi Pete! I have a question. What are the benefits of 904 steel or differences between 904 and 315?
904 is more corrosion resistant as compared to 316, it also is slightly brighter and polishes up nicer
However it is also a tad softer....so some pluses and minuses
Hope that helps..
@@PeterKotsa Thank you for taking time to educate me on this. Great content! Keep up!
It's a great looking watch! I think for me the deal killer is the font of the logo, it looks like someone just type WISE in Word and that's it
This watch flew under the radar for me, but you're review was excellent and drew my attention to this brand👍
It’s a real beauty bro, built better than the price dictates 👍
I live in Bangkok and had the opportunity to check few models in person. Surprisingly good quality and few of them made from 904 steel. Absolutely recommended, there is no dubt, it worth the price.

Quality seems awesome.
Peter it is hoped you can respond. I ordered one of these and received it. It is a beautiful watch but I am disappointed with the bracelet which is just too light without enough depth to the links. A couple of millimetres more would make the difference. I don’t think they got that right but overall its a great watch. What did you think on review?
Hey Paul, congrats on the watch..enjoy
What do you mean without enough depth to the links?...if you can elaborate that would be great
I personally found it pleasing and well balanced on the wrist..I wore it for 7 days straight, no issues in comfort and functionality where the bracelet was concerned
Nonetheless, let me know 👍
Hi Peter, I have similar sized watches and the bracelets are heavier. This bracelet is very light and it just feels that more weight to the bracelet would enhance the feel of quality. I have more than a few brands….. Henry Archer as an example. The equivalent bracelet is heavier.
@@pauldiplock205 ahh ok, thanks for clarifying 👍
Its probably slightly lighter in gauge.. but for me it doesn't seem to have nay effect on functionality. Nonetheless, apart from that hows the watch ?...hope you get years of pleasure out of it 👍
