Hi Sean! I'm new to this and is interested. How do you run ads and where do you go to run ads and what's the cost? Thanks in advance for all your help.
Hey Sean, I noticed one of your point was to start ads with automatic campaigns. Sometimes that does work but what works for me is to run only manual targeting for the first 30-45 days. This way you're only getting sales from highly relevant search terms and the algorithm starts to learn exactly what your book is about and who your customers are. After the 30-45 day mark, since I've indexed for the correct keywords, proved to amazon that I have a high conversion rate and gave amazon enough sales data to make correct bid adjustments, I will run a down only auto campaign and a up and down auto campaign. They work 10x better this way and have seen a massive difference in ACoS. Not guaranteeing it will work for everyone but that's what works for me :) Great video as always!
I have what I believe to be some really good colouring books, Good covers, great interiors, added value, I have A+ content with sample interior pages... But whilst I sell a couple here and there ... I'm really not getting return from automatic targeting. I need help with how to create and refine manual keywords.
I would definitely be interested in learning about Amazon Ads. I've self-published one book - almost 10 years ago. Did no marketing, but it did pretty good for a while. Slowly sales fell off, though, and then a few months ago they quickly bottomed out, which makes me think that the algorithm for finding the book changed at that point. One of the questions I have for advertising is, Can you place a limit on how much you spend in a given period even if the search word you pick is a very popularly searched word? I'll be publishing a second book within the month so this info will come in handy for an upcoming book launch as well.
@@jc4evur661 Not sure. It's still the highest rated book on its topic and also has by far the most ratings. And it comes up first when you type in the obvious search word for the topic.
An excellent and comprehensive run down of the core activities to get book sales. Very helpful as a reminder as I did already know this just never stuck with this regime. I've yet to tackle ads!
Hey Sean! I'm 2 months into my coloring book journey and I've just hit the 100 books sold mark. Not breaking the bank but progress. I'm adding children's books now. Thanks for all the free info.
@@SeanDollwet thanks man! It's a process with all the niche research and stuff so a bunch of trial and error. Oddly enough my bestseller is a book that can't run adds.
Hi Sean, thank you for usual generous sharing of information to all would-be authors and/or publishers! Positive Karma and blessings are always with you! Do you have a video on How to Do an effective Amazon Ads campaign?
Thank you for this, I really appreciate your help! There is a lot more to KDP than I thought. I did want to mention to use caution with Facebook groups. You aren't allowed to solicit on them. They'll kick you out of the group. However, it is a good tool to use for more in depth information and keywords.
Definitely please, make a comprehensive video on Amazon ads! Scaling is a bit difficult to grasp, as well as - how to know which keywords were a hit, which ones were a miss? And how to react to it? Thanks a lot, you're the best!
Theres Probably Ins And Outs Too This Whole Thing, Here And There, Just Too Much Going On, However Thankyou Very Much, Regardless. Maybe, I Just Realized, That, I Suppose, Ya, Just Go With It, And Thankyou For Sharing.
Hello Sean, I wanted to Thank you for all the valuable information you provide in your videos, with your help I always able to publish one KDP book and have sold over 425 Books with over 50 reviews. Albe, How I Win the Lottery
I recently did a Pubby campaign and was disappointed. I got reviews as fast as they allowed in about a month (9) with their enforced pacing. I spent $30 to sign up plus another $23 to buy books worth "reading." So, each review, indirectly, cost $5.88. Does anyone read the books you must buy to get Pubby points, including your book? Probably not. Readers give them a quick scan. They are just doing it to get Pubby points and help themselves, not you. Pubby reviews are usually short and reveal people did not actually read the book. Some Pubby reviewers just hit the 4 or 5 star button to get their points and write nothing. Pubby meets Amazon criteria for reviews, but many authors will likely be disillusioned with the Pubby process.

can you make a video about fictional books. It's way more interesting for me to write novels than other book type, but i have no idea if these would sell well or what to pay attention with these books. Nonetheless keep up the good work, learning a lot
If someone is just beginning, it seems like they won’t have access to the ability to have A+ content as they need to register their brand first and show they are selling items with the brand name/logo etc. Do you think someone starting off need to go through brand registration before they publish the book so they can have A+ content? Or if you’re staring off, just get the books out there first to get started and then do the brand registry later etc
I follow you with youtube subtitle translation, I don't know English, is there any subtitles in the free training you left the link of? And why don't you add youtube?
I disagree about advertising-it all depends on the niche. If it is overcrowded, such as Coloring Book, and amazon puts you on the 10th page, then even if you have a beautiful cover and interior, no one will look at the 10th page and buy. Here you need to help advertising. I wanted to ask you about these reviews in groups on fb. Do you ask in advance the administrator of the group if you can give this post if in the regulations there is a ban on promotion?
Thanks for the insights! Really helpful 🙏 Regarding reviews I have a question: isn't it that only "verified purchase" real-buyers of our books can post reviews on Amazon? How does it work if I send out the pdf file of the book without the reviewer ever having bought the printed or ebook version via Amazon? Much appreciated!
Isn’t someone obliged to have bought the book prior to posting a review? And if one can, then how do you send someone a review link? Tried finding it but with no success im afraid. Btw, excellent content!
Thank you for this!!! Please how do i send the facebook groups my review link, considering the fact that they didn’t purchase from amazon directly and I just sent the pdf free in exchange for a review. Can there be a tutorial on how to generate a review link for amazon kdp Thank you so much Sean
I published my book on kdp and enrolled 5 days free promotion programme but don't know how to get link to share with my friends and in social media in exchange of review. I have link but it shows purchased link. So plz guide how can I get link.
Thanks for this video and the Fiverr recommendations. Quick question. When working with a Fiverr freelancer to create a cover design, how do you protect yourself when they are using stock images? When KDP asks for proof you own the rights to the images, how do you handle that? Thanks very much for any info!
sean, I like you and your approach and this is why I've been your subscriber for at least a couple months now, but forgive me when I say you are just producing the same content over and over again. This is just copy-paste at this point. It feels like you are just doing the same videos just to promote different people on fiverr for your new video. just my honest 2 cents
you may watch every one of my videos which I appreciate, but you gotta understand 90% of my viewers are watching my vids for the first time so it's new to them. I can't make 2 vids a week and not cover the same things sometimes, but I feel like it's pretty different most of the time.
