It’s now been almost 2 years since I last played this game and to this day I still believe that this is the best boss theme in the series. The energy, the atmosphere, and the sheer confidence in this really makes you feel like you’re going to be in for the fight of your life.
Don’t have a DS anymore but I still play the roms from time to time… I made a busted deck in the 3rd game that relied on exploiting boulders and I won most pvp games, it was good times
Rogue SX Sword can be easily countered by using Squall cards btw. If you're Ninja Megaman, it's an easy battle with Fox Fu's, Squalls, and invisible + recover 300 cards for safety

Queen Ophiuca I found to be one of the most difficult bosses in this game. She's actually a fantastic boss and I'm happy that many of the bosses made reappearances in 2 and 3.
The difficulty spike I experienced going from SF1 to SF2 was crazy when the first time I fought Ophiuca in SF2 I lost. It got me hyped though how the battles were harder.
Apparently people don’t like this one, but I think when I was a kid I was just so excited to be playing another starforce game I ended up loving it. Now I can’t shake that feeling that it’s a great game imo.
The entire soundtrack is amazing to me, the theme is unlike any other I've heard and it really gives me that feeling of "shit's going down" (especially when Rogue is involved)
I can give you a pretty fresh perspective from my own POV, I'm playing it now (still need my fix after 100% completion on MMSF1DX), I'd simply say it is very hit or miss in places. It is not a bad game, but nor is it above average-feels like a game that was rushed in some places, which is the Capcom curse it seems-MMSF1 had issues, but felt more 'filling'. And yet the satisfying gameplay loop and banger music make it compelling enough to stick with. TLDR we should have got the pirate tribe lol

I actually beat him quite a while back, my comment was to just simulate my first encounter with him when I had just got as far as beating Terra Condor.
Dark Phantom and Terra Condor are my favourite mandatory bosses, while Kung Fu Kid is probably my favourite optional boss. It also had all my favourite boss (with 1 exception) from SF1 coming back: Taurus Fire, Harp Note and Gemini Spark. Too bad Wolf Woods isn't in SF2, but at leats he makes in SF3. Overall, though. SF3 has the best catalogue of bosses in the series. Sadly, it drops some of my favourites (Harp Note, Terra Condor and Gemini Spark being the more obvious ones) but it brought back Wolf Woods, and added some cool ones (Honestly, I like all of the bosses named after cards, Spade Magnes, Diamond Ice, Club Strong, Jack Corvus, Queen Virgo and Dread Joker. I only dislike Acid Ace =( )

There was supposed to be a 4th Starforce game, but got cancelled alongside legends 3. Theres a screenshot of Geo being 16 years old and both himself and a male partner are criminals together. Dunno why Geo would want to be a criminal judging, he got his dad back 4 years back.
cod ghosts -10/10 cod waw -1069/10 (cos too many hacked ps3 lobbies means unplayable multiplayer) all starforce games: 69/10 (this is my honest opinion btw as I played the mentioned games)

It's a shame that the sound quality on this upload is imperfect when compared to the reference rip (v=if_SbEv2We0). An extension with good quality would be a godsend if you'd be in the mood to do it !

@@Phoenix_Blader_93 There is a fan-translation of the game, and now that I think about it, OSS really is just BN1 with the SF crossover added in the middle of the game. I do wish they updated BN1's music with the soundfont of either SF3 or DTDS (BN5 Double Team DS).
For all the shit I give this game, and I really don't like it compared to Starforce 1 or 3, this theme is still excellent. Full of energy which is what a boss theme should be, I just really hated the whole Yeti, Ghost and Loch Ness thing they had going on. What the heck has that got to do with Geo Stelar and STARFORCE? You know, the title of the game? Where are the stars? Where's the Space? Why such a departure? The whole game is just miles different. No stars, no Starforce, Link Power out of nowhere which undermines the brother system and why Tribes? Why not just stick with the Star Force? Everything is different and it just didn't work for me. They even made the instruments for the music drastically different which is easily observed. And I would understand all that as an evolution of the medium but Starforce 3 went back to the first game's musical style, it's space theme and brought back old characters and Noise Forms were essentially Double Soul from BN5 but with Starforce Characters. It makes SF2 stick out like a sore thumb. Phew. Rant over. At least they learnt from their mistakes for Starforce 3. Which never came out where I live. *sigh*
