8:17 you can duel right there because of undatakah keeping enchantments, it still should have the prelate DR so it shuffles it again (not entirely sure, but pretty sure) Edit 17:27 they got it
Alex 5432 the prelate would keep the debuff from shrink ray so it would get pulled out alongside the undertakah, they would both trade into each other, then it would die and be in his deck again.
@@Kaserbeam No, you shrink ray prelate, trade with dude and now opponent has prelate in deck. You hit him in face for 5 leaving him at 1. You duel which will pull 1/1 prelate from opponent deck but none from yours because Firebat's deck is empty. End turn and he takes the final 1 damage.
During the stream, firebat tried to refine the list and I think ended with a less midrangy shell that tries to draw his deck quickly. He wanted to fit in a sunfury protector but was having a hard time to find the space to run it. Idk if he ended up running it or not
Yup! I was the opponent. I had his stream up when I queued into him. If you could see chat I announced what my hand was (b/c I saw most of his) and left the channel. That's why I was gifted a sub. The anti-snipe ;p
Holy shit, I've been holding off making and Undatakah/Prelate deck since last expansion because I thought it only got one set of buffs, this changes everything.
really happy to see other paladin players figure the whole sword of justice thing out. Its actually really strong if it wernt for all the wep destruction stuff.
When Firebat read off the "I can't bear these grizzly trades" joke, and I heard the clacking sound in the background, I legit thought it was Purple cocking a gun and getting ready to kill himself at how bad that joke was and I didn't know what to do
He was but I guess he decided to to use it... this time. I laughed really hard at your comment sorry if it actually scared you, but hey its a UA-cam video so you had no reason to worry.
Doesnt undatakah keep its enchantments even if its pulled by duel ? so you could have those be boardclears in the very late game. Also whats the undatakah + prelade + recurring villain interaction ? does it resummon first and then shuffle or can it shuffle and then resummon ?
It summons an 8/5 vanilla Undatakah no matter what. :( BUT you do get stacking recurring villains every time the battlecry hits it, so it'll summon 1 8/5, then 2, then 3. It always shuffles one copy (provided it has at least one prelate deathrattle of course). I was hoping villain would replace Silver Vanguard in the old Undatakah combo. (You also gave it taunt with a sunfury protector the turn you play it, so if they don''t have silence/transform their minions will literally never be able to attack anything else. Kinda broken but honestly, you had to have an 8 mana 3/3 a 2 mana 1/3 (you can buff it of course but you can't play more than two at most prior to undatakah or he might not get vanguard's deathrattle) and have them both die. And the Vanguard has to die while undatakah is in your hand so he doesn't get pulled out of your deck. And *then* the first time you play it, you have to win the dice roll to have him get the effects in the right order - if he gets recruit then shuffle it won't work until you play him again. That's a pretty involved combo with a lot of dead draws that gets beaten by holding exactly one silence/transform for it so in the grand scheme of hearthstone it really wasn't too imbalanced. But if Villain summoned a copy of itself rather than a base card version of itself, it'd already be unkillable without silence so it makes sense they did it this way. Still, I badly miss the feeling of managing to pull it off against an aggro deck and watching them kill him, be confused about why he's back and then do it 2-3 more times before conceding.
This could work if you can live against rouge. I think you just beat every deck with infinite reno and deck. maybe tech in a banker or two for guaranteed victory.
The problem as usual is silence, if any sort of "just make a giant enchanted thing and win the game" strategy ever becomes meta then it always gets immediately hated out again by double spellbreaker everywhere. Magnetic and prelate decks are great off-meta picks to steal some wins with but they can't realistically ever be more than that.
Did he really not know what enchantment means in HS? Anything that adds card text is enchantment. Technically if you could somehow use Fel Lord Bertrug to summon a Prelate it would keep the "dies at end of turn" and get shuffled back into your library(the extra one).
You bait them out on the Prelate basically. Undatakah doesn't care if the deathrattle minions are silenced, because when a card is in the "graveyard" it's in its base form - the one exception being Immortal Prelate, who stops being an exception if silenced. Most people don't know about or expect Undatakah shenanigans, and lots of people don't run silence anyway.
Watching Firebat and Purple work through the idea that "No, literally every single buff is an enchantment. Every single one. And you keep all of them. Every single time." was physically painful.
Being good at reading the meta and playing strong decks in tournaments is a different skill from understanding how all the different mechanics interact with each other. This video is an excellent demonstration of it.
He keeps all the buffs because he copied the Deathrattle from Immortal Prelate. So he was previously given lifesteal with Lightforged Blessing and he was previously made a 1/1 with Shrink Ray.
We actually get to know the guests this time mr. editor man? That takes all the fun out. I liked it more when they were all voices in his head.
Editor man just knows the names of the voices in your head, so no need to worry. 0% loss of head-voices.

"I dont want any pizza" - Firebat 2019 UNSUBED.
11:38 - SURELY that Lifesteal should have gone onto the Wild Pyromancer? It would have gotten something like 13 health back over the next two turns.
I doubt he was expecting it to stick around the second turn
@@Roflcoptorz Still better than putting it on a prelate that had already lifesteal. Maybe he doesn't know the interaction.

Missed lethal @ 18:10, Shrink Ray, trade on board, hit face and then cast duel to pull minion back out is lethal.
Steve duel would’ve killed the prelate again and shuffled it back into his opponent’s deck since it would be a 1/1 after shrink ray

Yes
defender of argus is almost always included in this deck to give undatakah/prelate taunt

I'm glad the editor used this one. Just watched it live today

Zilliax Nozari an Ysera aren't necessary at all. Shirvalla i'm 50/50 on. She helps you survive a bunch but the combo doesn't need her.
It's Undatakah not undertaker which is a card from Naxx.
John J given that this card is Da Undatakah, it’s always surprises me that the 3 mana 2/4 that plays a secret from your deck isn’t “Masked Contendah”
