The game's future is definitely pretty bleak. Considering how the people who originally worked on Journey (Sky's predecessor) were completely driven off by TGC's crappy management and deadlines and seeing how TGC is treating Sky right now, I seriously feel that TGC needs to step up if they don't want Sky to crash and burn
I started playing Sky last year and felt the game had peaked at the Aurora season. Everything since is just confusion. I’m probably going to stop playing after the Two Embers seasons.

I wouldn’t mind if they took a month off from pushing out events to fix stuff but they won’t do that because of their FOMO on profits from people buying event cosmetics and losing players due to nothing new to do.
The glitches have been rough and I’m considering going on hiatus. I haven’t had a lot of fun social experiences over the past several months, let alone new friends. So when I joined a player dragon chain that was attempting glitched in office area, I was having the time of my life. When two of them wanted to be friends, I was ready to accept. Suddenly, I found myself under the map with no way back in. We called back and forth for a while until it eventually went silent. I returned home and went looking for them, but never found them again. When I looked at all of the unlit stars in my friends constellation, I had a thought. For a game about making friends, it feels incredibly lonely.
genuinely feels like the beta servers are more to generate hype then to actually bug test. i know they probably take care of some issues in beta but if the beta version is so far removed that half of the Game Breaking Bugs dont happen there, which therefore make it not a good bug test, then its not serving its intended purpose
to add onto my previous comment and your comment: if the game brekaing bugs that Do get reported in beta Also arent fixed then.. its still not serving its intended function.
The FOMO system is so dated. I wish they’d just let us buy the full game outright or get a monthly subscription (or your season pass counts as that) if money is really the issue. The server maintenance was definitely needed. I wish they’d do it more.
I'm not even a veteran, i was barely 3 month player. The bugs and glitches are funny at first since veteran players friends would, "oh, the wax are just... floating??? Okay, i'll wait as you relog" "There's no wax? You sure you haven't cr in this map? Relog?" "Another day another chibi fall because the door cannot be opened" but at this point it's not funny anymore. No wonder all my veteran friends are more excited for "OH GOD THEY SAID THAT FOREST TEMPLE THINGY AND THE PRAIRIE TEMPLE DOMAIN EXPANSION ARE FIXED" than the season/ event drops.
@fivepebbles876 Players received in-game mail that contained an apology for the 2 day server outage, and included a pretty generous amount of the in game currencies, including ascended candles. It was a very nice gesture. ...Of course, still for a game that has been in development as long as it has been, the game having so many glitches and bugs is pretty unacceptable, especially when they continue to push events, and transactions, some of which are incredibly overpriced. (You can buy the entire Journey game for less money than the Journey pack in Sky, for example)

I don't think the devs actually rework anything from previous updates unless there's an issue. So once they add a new feature everything collapses on itself. There's going to be a point where the game keeps expanding, and the phone systems won't keep up. Meaning some players won't be able to access any feature updates. They need to make a sky 2 and import everything at this point. Sky is apparently not that big of a game (download/active players wise) which could be why they don't have bigger server sizes. Cause hosting those servers cost a lot of money. But it's hard to see how they don't have enough funds to properly address these issues when they can sell a blue light filter set of sunglasses for $20. Which should just be A FEATURE IN THE GAME. Don't they say the money from cosmetics go to developers? And they have at least a garentee base with the active players that continously buy season passes for themselves and friends. Its just hard to believe TGC at times with their claims and ways of addressing current and past issues. Didn't they say they were going to give more candles during the pray bug? Bruh I got 5 and lost 3 days worth of CR. ---- At the very least the maintenence compensation was acceptable. But at this point they just need to re-run like the trials season and do 3 months of solid constant work so we can have a playable game. Players would die for that anubis mask, and at the end we'll have at the worst- a slightly more functional game.

But this issue is starting to become so rampant, that I'm just considering the fact they probably implant these bugs themselves, just to cause problems. I also considered this month that maybe I should actually stop playing Sky, because of these issues.
that reminds me of how bugged the concert was yesterday. I joined an Aurora concert gathering yesterday and oh boi it was so buggy ! my sky kid was Dragon Ball Z teleporting from seats to seats, there was no one for the whole concert ( so private concert for me ! ), and my Sky kid bring in places shr shouldn't in intermissions between songs. had a great time tho ! :')
I havent dabbled much in coding. But lately I would ask myself what do their files look like. And they also had gotten new management for these bugs. So... I'm not entirely sure. Coding language should primarily be the same; either C or C++. I also dont know why they decide to update some people and not everyone at once. Ik they say, "So at least there is progress/not everyone is affected" but thats just leaving the rest in the waiting list which hardly feels like progress. But idk... Imo they lack communication at times.

It annoys me as they are told by us in beta of the issues.. yet it still gets in sky live
