You'd be hard pressed to find a pub in Duesseldorf that doesn't sell Alt :) Good to see you mentioned the rivalry between Cologne and Duesseldorf. Also once you don't want any more beer you put the coaster on the glass. Loved that you had Sauerbraten, there's nothing more Rhineland than that.
We absolutely loved alt! A much darker beer than Sidney usually likes, so I was so excited that she liked it! We are missing sauerbraten and alt already 😩
Glad to see Uerige made your video; Classic! On your way back turn right out of the brewery down Flinger Str., stop at the little window just a few steps away from Uerige on the right. Killipitsch Krauerterlikor.
The trees have been "Pollarded". You are there at the time of year that the trees are pruned to maintain their height and shape. The knobles are really scar tissue from where this years branches will stem.
Hey guys great vid btw. Was in dusseldorf in '13 Got absolutely hammered lol I agree ALT is one of the best, but one house was better than the rest. Cant remember which however it was all good. Loved the Lowensenf mustard xtra hot! Wow Amazing!!!
Thank you for watching, so glad you had fun following along! We love Düsseldorf as well, we have never been able to find anything like Fuchschen alt bier anywhere else in the world! We will always be delighted to visit again 😁
next time when you guys are in D'dorf (local short form for düsseldorf) check out the Immermann straße or Little tokyo. also two fun facts about D'dorf The Schlossturm which you passed which is now a ships museum is the last remaining structure of the old city castle in D'dorf and it's supposed to be haunted. then the twisted top of the St- Lambertus was actually a building Error they used wood that wasn't totally dry and when it dried in place it twisted. Instead of correcting it people liked the ikonic shape so it stayed and was even rebuid again this way.
Happy you enjoyed Düsseldorf. You should come back in Summer. Düsseldorf is similar toll Paris or New Orleans. People are more easy going laid back lifestyle. So is Cologne and Coblenz. Americans are always welcome in Germany as Guests or permanent Residence People
Thank you so much for being so welcoming, we definitely noticed that! We loved Düsseldorf and Cologne, we’d definitely love to come back at some point!
Next time you are here, you should take some bottles of Schumacher beer with you, when you leave. In my personal opinion the only Alt which taste really good, if you drink it also from bottles. Something you usually don't do😇
Glad you liked the Alt beer, it's more or less the only beer I like and drink (and i am not from Düsseldorf 😅). The Kürzer Alt is my personal favorite, maybe a bit less well-known and a bit more modern in style, but you can also find them in the Altstadt.
I'm from Düsseldorf, so Füchschen is one of the very good ones. Uerige, Schumacher are two more. Schlüssel is a little bit sweeter. Any of them are good together with a Mettbrötchen 😉😘. Sadly there seemed to be no party; in summer times, the roades are full of people. By the way: What the hell is Cologne?
Please for the love of god tell me if there are any places to get proper english fish and chips here? Nrw. Good video, happy i moved to Germany, Its great here, im near dusseldorf a little way out in kamp lintfort, its such a great place, i even saw a Wolf Walking across the road on my way to work. I just really miss some english food and bits lol
Definitely understand missing fish and chips! We always make sure to have some when we stop in the UK! We also enjoyed German cuisine too, it’s such an amazing country with so much to see!
What is your favorite kind of German beer? Also, are you Team Alt or Team Kölsch? Let us know! 🍻
Team Költ: great diplomacy, brilliant packaging!
These trees are "Platanen". The leafs look a bit like acorn leafs.

Alts appeal a lot to ale drinkers

Thanks for the tip! We will definitely have to look out for it!

Sauerbraten is not roast pork, it's roast beef, and was originally made from horse meat :-)
Wow, I definitely did not know that! 😯

We will definitely have to do that next time! We didn’t get the chance to try Schumacher! Thanks for the tip 🙂
i disagree. their normal Schuhmacher Alt is no comparison to their extra hopped "1838er", which is the one i actually recommend at Schumacher's

Düsseldorf Old Town is known as the longest bar in the world
We can see why! We had so much fun hopping around trying the different alt beers!

These are plane trees
Thank you!! We couldn’t figure it out because we didn’t know what to search 😂 love these trees!

A Germany One?
Solve my riddle,!
Haha!
Germany is the beer country for those who never travel the world. Ordinary beer + ordinary public = German. 😂
😆👏
IT gives me a feeling of home
So happy to hear that! We absolutely loved our time in Düsseldorf 🍻🇩🇪👍
It even gives me home feeling while being a native moscovite 4th generation :)
Düsseldorf super
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for visiting our channel, plenty more Germany content if you are interested! 😄👍
