Amazing sounds! Is it possible to make a demo of the E1010 with some real time modulation? In the process of buying one but I can't find any good demos of it on UA-cam. Do you have anything good/bad to say about it?
The E1010 is a realy good analog delay, and i will never missing it any more. To make a video is not possible for me (cam defective -.-), but i can make a sound demo and upload to SoundCloud... ;)
Kim Stennabb Caesar I hope it is good enough... soundcloud.com/knetonator/yamaha-e1010-test left side is the original signal, right side the E1010. The track is downloadable...
The first bells sound 00:00 can be heard in Plainsong by The Cure
And at 12:32 the "People are people" synth pluck by Depeche Mode
:)
9:05 sounds cool
The marcato strings and other orchestral sounds were also very good on this machine, particularly when layered with other synths.
Brilliant what could be done with relatively tiny amounts of sample memory back then. Emax was pretty good for that too.
EMU is awesome
Awesome synth 😎
12:55 "liquid stack"
7:18 meat pipe !!!
From 15:35-17:56, it reminds me greatly of the Phil Collins ballad, "Long Long Way to Go." I think this sound was used for that song.
That song is a Prophet5. Collins actually never used the Emulators in the 80ies. Tony Banks of Genesis did (he used all 4).
ShreadTheWeapon nope

Thanks!
Where can i get disks
My floppies came with the Emu... These are no original disks, but the sounds are a part from the OMI Sample CDs (i'm not sure).
here: www.northstarsamples.com/EIIFloppies.html
I bought the Arturia vst version of this and it doesn’t do ANYTHING for me. It sounds completely flat and characterless.
can you actually record samples into this?
barber1 If i wish, i can do it, because i have a MacQuatra 650, and the programs to edit samples, and send it to them... ;)
barber1 lol
Yes, I've done it many times in recording studios.
