Exploring Carnarvon Gorge: A Must-See in Queensland

In this weeks episode we leave Mackay and start heading South for the Adelaide 4WD Show. Our first night we camp near Blackwater at Bedford Weir, if you use Wikicamps you will be able to find this stop.
Our next stop is Carnarvon Gorge which is a must visit if you are touring around Queensland. We were only able to spend one day here so would recommend staying for at least 2. There is no free camping close to the gorge so keep this in mind when visiting.

We were at Carnarvon gorge last week , all those stepping stones were nearly underwater , we had to climb around debris on the ladder into the amphitheater after the storm the night before and wade through water above our knees to get through the passage, truely an epic place , been on our list for over 20 years, another great episode guys 👍🏽

Another great video guys! That’s a great spot Carnarvon gorge, never forget the thousands of bats that would fly over our camp site every night the noise was deafening!
Yeah it was a shame we couldn't do a sunrise walk to a lookout but we will be back another time!

Good video, but you definitely can’t camp below Bedford Weir. The campsite is above!
