- Ruja Ignatova pioneered an alleged multi-billion-dollar Ponzi scheme disguised as a new cryptocurrency, OneCoin. Ignatova is on the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted” list, and she’s been indicted on several charges of fraud and money laundering. The only problem? She’s been missing since 2017. Podcast and author Jamie Bartlett, who’s written a book on “The Missing Cryptoqueen,” joins Mehdi to discuss.

Actually I have very little sympathy for the victims because all they saw was dollar signs and ignored the obvious con. You give me $10 and I'll give you $100 in return. She could see them coming a mile off and they came with their pockets full of cash.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are risky enough for me. 99% of everything else is a bad idea and going to 0. Ruja's creation was allegedly just a marketing scam, nothing more. There's no blockchain, no crypto, no tech. Newbies who are bored with BTC and ETH even though they know nothing, should kiss their money goodbye.

Bitcoin is wayyyy too big to fail though. Bitcoin already has big name investors and companies backing it. Every other crypto yeah it’s a bigger risk
