Asia/Africa/South America/Mexico does not have millions upon millions of international people living there.

I've been to the poverty stricken South, the rust belt, the prairies, N/S Florida, everywhere but Alaska and Hawaii.
America is a 3rd world nation propping up a well to do upper class (more so than in other countries), American conservatives will always talk smack about California as though the rest of the country isn't a dump or even more so.
It's a pretty country full of pristine nature but staring out of your window on a highway in the wilderness is the only thing America has going for it. It's a playground for tourists, not a place to work or live. See for yourself and enjoy the sights of the beautiful Republican leaning states (except "flyover country", not worth the effort), California is no land of honey and milk but it's better than any of the other dilapidated states.

The changes/modernisations to Beijing (and China) are astonishing! The last and first time I visited Beijing was in 1997 as a young teenager - I can still remember Beijing Capital Airport being a tiny building with two satellite wings compared to what it is now; it's all quite incredible.

I love Beijing, been there a few years ago. The city is so amazing and the people are so great! When I first saw a group of women in the park dancing together, it was so beautiful to watch. Wow! What a transformation from when I was there in 2001. As much as it has modernized even more than what I thought was monumental then,I will miss the grit and old charm that is now gone. Scared to look at what Xian is like now.
