11:32 Yes proper burr walnut, but the resin appearance is one of the safety features. Strips of pure wood don’t bend when a door / dash is crumpled in an accident - they can pop out and impale / injure people. Mercedes layered very thin wood veneer with resin and aluminium strips. So, if there’s a major collision the wood will bend with the metal layers to match the damaged door / dash and likely stay put, not harming occupants. Downside is that the surface of the resin has cracked a little after 20+ years on some examples.
Nice video. I live in the US and have owned my 1994 E320 Cabriolet for 16 years (we never had the smaller engines offered here). This is highly unusual for me as I am always buying and selling old cars and have probably owned 8-10 others while the Mercedes has stayed in my garage. Mechanically it’s been nearly bulletproof (now has 118k miles) but I did have to rebuild the hydraulics for the top. I figure once every 28 years or so isn’t bad.
These are amazing cars, I own one myself. The engines are super quiet once they get going. I can’t wait to see what do to it. Just ordered myself a new set of custom 3 piece wheels 😊
@@pavvirdee5698 All will be revealed in the next video (although I do HATE to sound like a bloody UA-camr haha!) Just minor enhancements that I think will split camps and light maintenance to make it perfect for the next owner!
That Moatah is a propppa bit of stuff, Martin Dear Boy. In my humble opinion its on the list as one that will definitely go UP, or at least stay steady, due to its relative rarity. Compared to SL's that are all over the shop. due to there being tons of them available, and which values will start to drop like a lead balloon over the next 6 -12 months I agree with your earlier comment to me on your last VID, where its the lower end stuff that will end up worth about 40 pence Just hope you're not going to spoil it with all them "Carlos Fandango Type Extra's" Stick with me for handy tips and advice, you can thank me later when your empire crumbles 🙂
It's such a mega thing man! And, whilst I won't *quite* go to Carlos Fandango lengths... the wheels are a'changing! You're so right about SLs, really tricky to value currently being that there are so many still on the road with mileages and conditions all over the place. I thin k something like this E Cabriolet will prove to be super safe value-wise. Your handy tips will forever be welcomed haha!
I wouldn't swap that car.. ever. Guaranteed to last my life time Remember, cars are liabilities, few of them can be seen as investments. And this one its one of them. I purchased my 1991 w124 for 1.000$ back in 2017. Headed for a decade milestone
Tattoos 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮that said convertibles should not be longer than 4,20m because after that threshold they become awkward, something like a five legged animal. Of course, that requires having taste which the presenter and his tattoos lacks
That Patrick Bateman impression was absolutely solid
Gee, thanks 😅 It was a nightmare to remember my lines!

That little robot arm that gives you the seatbelt is adorable 😭😍
I say thank you EVERY time 😅❤️
Always wanted one of these (320 would be nice).
With a birthday coming up with a zero at the end, I think the time has come.
