I realize that doesn’t seem like a lot of money to some people, but where I am, 500MRU of my own money says a lot about my dedication to my students. I think this teacher gets that.

In the US we call swedes rutabagas, but it's likely very possible this was actually a purple-topped turnip. A parsnip, by the way, is the one that looks like a cream-colored carrot (which he called a turnip for some reason).
