Can you do a video on changing the vacuum lines that run to that unit that go into the engine bay
Cool video, btw, Unwired Tools is here in Arizona, Flagstaff to be exact. I met the owner years ago when he was using a 6.9 of mine to test his CIS warmup regulator product. I have installed their CC Servo replacement, but I still prefer the OE part myself.
interesting....i have gotten good use out of both parts...I did not know they were in Flagstaff now, thanks for informing me. What model did you try the servo replacement in?
@@mercedesclassicswithpierre1753 It was a 107 450SL. It worked well, but I always thought it would be better if they could make a tighter package for a cleaner, more OE looking install.
Hi! Just a detail: Your audio is distorting a little, maybe yor microphone is defective os the recording level at the camera too high.

my 1985 W123 Climate Control fried (Smoke pouring into cabin, etc.). Circuit board literally fried and charred. What do I look for as cause before replacing unit? Fuses? Blower brushes? Coolant pump? THANKS. Love your videos!
'80 450SL Mine was giving me an intermittent flat battery issue. I unplugged it, problem solved, for now, considering there is no heat. One day I'll see to it. I never thought about the amplifier. I'm aware of the cruise con. amplifier malfunctioning. I was considering upgrading to the electronic servo, from Mercedes source.

If your battery is dying the amp is working

I think my servos valve has gotten stuck or the amp is bad. I am going to check amp and if its good than i guess i'll be taking the servo apart to inspect. i'll inspect for sounds when I press climate buttons tomorrow.
All my climate buttons worked and then today i pressed Defrost and then I pressed the off button and it stayed on Defrost. I cant get it to change or turn off now. so I pulled the climate fan fuse for now.

Apologies for asking a question not related to the video topic but I have ‘72 350 SLC (R107) which doesn’t have a passenger door mirror. I have seen pictures of stick-on/magnetic mirrors attached to the triangular blanking plate and wondered if you or anyone else out there in internetland has any idea on where I can get my hands on one?

the mounting points for a correct r107 passenger mirror are under the chrome plate in the right door. You don't have to drill any holes to add a factory mirror.
My stupid air Conditions fan wont turn off again! My servo is working and can hear it when I press any button on the climate control but the fan just wont turn off. I also can hear a click sound when I press OFF or DEFROST from behind the dash.
HELLO MR. HEDARY! IM WORKING ON A 1977 450 SL CLIMATE CONTROL WITH THE ISSUE OF THE SWITCH PANEL ONLY WORKS ON DEFROST ONLY. I HAVE INSPECTED VACUUM LINES AND THEY SEAM FINE, IM WONDERING IF YOU CAN PASS ALONG A DIAGNOSES PRECEDURE FOR THE SWITCH PANEL AND A VACUUM DIAGRAM. I HAVE ALSO INSTALLED AN UPDATED SERVO/HEATER VALVE SYSTEM. SINCERELY PULLING MY HAIR OUT CLEMMONS, HAVE AN AWESOME DAY SIR!

Is there any good alternative to the MTC monovalve for late model W126. The MTC valve has a weak spring and heat ceases at road speed. Like wise AC temp is always max low. I can't find an OEM monovalve. please advise.
Pretty sure there's monovalve repair kits out there unless you have some weird configuration. I just googled w126 monovalve repair kits and came up with many options.

Mb of westmont, Illinois has the repair kit for $168. Perhaps I'm missing something or you aren't in the states? I'm not exactly sure you have a monovalve problem though. I seem to recall there's a possibility of affecting the HVAC control unit if either the monovalve or the recirculation pump fails. You appear to have possibly 2 different issues which might be 2 causes rather than one.
It's the monovalve. I have an MTC in there currently. No heat at speed. MTC is junk. auxill pump fine.
Mercedes has the mobovalve kits again. Brinson company in NOLA has new magnets and coils
Chrysler always had the best climate control systems, if Mercedes perfected it, it would not fail as much as they do.
keep in mind that the last time this system was used was in 1981. New servo, new vacuum pods, everything works great!
