RIP to that woman for making the best song in my childhood times. Sorry, everyone, Olivia Newton-John passed away today at the age of 73. Your song will always be remembered. 😞😭😢
Oh NO! Olivia Newton-John, beloved actress and singer best known for her role as Sandy Olsson in Grease and for hits such as 1981’s “Physical,” died on Monday (Aug. 8). She was 73 years old.
My parents played the radio every day and this came on it daily for over a year when I was small child! It's one of the first songs I remember lyrics for. She made an indelible mark on my generation RIP 😪
Thanks for the hits you beautiful sweetheart. This was originally intended for Rod Stewart, but you truly made it your own. Undying love and admiration from your many fans. Rest in Peace.
@ronaldalexanderrolleston4361 She was famous before that. That's how she got the role. She was far more famous than John at the time. Her first mega hit was 1973( let me be there). Greece was filmed in 1978. John Travolta's first hit was Saturday night fever in 1977. Incidentally, he wasn't the first pick for the role of Danny Zuko. She turned down the role many times before John begged her to be in the movie.
A suggestive song with an elegant and sweet touch 😊At certain mode this could motívate us to get some excercises😍 Rest In Peace ONJ,the most cute and sexy woman of the 80s😊
All these years, I never really thought the lyrics were that dirty until now. Especially the bit where she sings 'unless it horizontally'!!!!!!!! But then again, I was only a kid when this came out. I was more focused on the video (and the surprise ending!). Naughty Olivia. But we love you. Thank you for your music and your tireless charity work. RIP.
What a bold move for an icon to be unafraid and present homoeroticism and homosexuality in a time where it was taboo to even think about such things. This will forever be one of pop culture's greatest moments. Olivia Newton John, rest in peace 🙏
Ten weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 making it the most successful single of the 80`s. The Police's 'Every Breath You Take' was second spending eight weeks at #1. Rest in peace ONJ
And the song that knocked it out of the top spot, Betty Davis Eyes by Kim Carnes, would stay at Number one for nine straight weeks. Still, RIP, and thank you for the music.
@@walterfox4761 I Can't Go For That (No Can Do) by Hall and Oates knocked Physical off #1 after 10 weeks at #1, keeping Waiting for a Girl Like You by Foreigner at the #2 spot for a record breaking 10th week without reaching #1 Bette Davis Eyes is the Billboard Year End #1 song of 1980, spending 9 non-consecutive weeks at #1 (interrupted 1 week by Stars on 45 medley)
For year's we looked at Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, Bee Gees as contenders for greatest pop star of all time. But all along, it was probably Olyvia Newton-John if not for sales, for actual pure talent, beauty and stage presence.
Just saw the news about her passing this morning. I remember working out to this via MTV during my teen years. She was beautiful inside and out. Olivia 4ever!
Rest In Paradise. You were a legend from as long as I remember my mom playing this as much as she could. Thanks for some great memories without you knowing ❤️🙏🏼
In an era where skits added fun to this music... Huey Lewis & The News... Robert Palmer... Shania Twain... Tracy Ullman... going all the way back to HARD DAYS NIGHT and even Marx Brothers...
Early March (?) 1981, I'm hanging with friends at the (then) Kahala Hilton. A buzz goes through the room and I'm guessing it's Tom Selleck, a semi-regular at the Sunday brunch. Instead I see one of the most stunningly beautiful women on the planet. My heart melted then and there. Olivia was on her way back to Sea Life Park for another photo shoot -- and I've always liked to think the album cover was shot that day. May peace and love be upon her family, friends, and fans. 💖
I know all of her songs and I saw Grease at least 15-20 times when it was in the theater - movies and music saved me. You are missed. Rest in paradise, Olivia. 💙
I can't believe she's gone from us?! I am glad that in 2002 (think that was the year) I went to see her in a concert! Her daughter sang one of her songs. She sang a Grease song and asked folks in the Shippensburg University Concert Hall to stand while singing it. I WAS THE ONLY ONE TO STAND and while she was singing it...and she looked at me for a moment and it made my whole year! LOL. she was someone I fell in love while from watching her sing and perform in some movies too over the years....I always thought she was dreamy. In the 2002 Concert it only fit 500 folks and everyone was pretty thrilled. I was probably 25 feet away from her. She sang to the audience, but it felt like she sang to each of us individually! So sad for the loss for her family especially...Much Love and Prayers!!! August 8th, 2022 today was 11 years ago my Mother died and now it's Olivia Newton John's death anniversary...how awful!
I’ll surely miss you Olivia Newton John 🥲🥲🥲. You were Mrs Australia 🇦🇺, you are an icon in your own right. You will surely be missed. RIP and I’m sure we will meet again and I’m sure you are at a better place looking at each and everyone of us 🙂
My heart is heavy and broken with the loss of Olivia Newton-John, who passed away this last week. Our world lost one of the greatest human beings of our time. When I look back at the era in which she gave such love and devotion to us with her incredible, amazing, voice of an angel from heaven, I always regarded her as one of the best of the best. And now we face a world without her gentle soul to influence, inspire, and help us feel better about the aspects of life. She will be so sorely missed. But, on the other hand, I’m also glad she no longer must struggle with her terrible battle with cancer and that she is finally at peace. But God Almighty… I will miss her so!! A legend. A true star. An angel from heaven. The best of the best! Thank you dear Olivia for all that you gave us for so many years. You will always be in my heart until my final breath. I’m hopelessly devoted to you! I love you…. I honestly… love you…
RIP Olivia Newton-John! Legends never truly die, her voice will live on for eternity!
I loved her voice. Age 73 is young in these times. RIP
Yaaaassssss💯💯💯💯💯
I miss her so much

Her suffering is over
My dad was the set designer for this and I got to visit the set. It was a HUGE thrill for 11 year old me! Ah, memories.
My condoleances to your dad
That is very cool, thanks for sharing!
Wow. How cool.
I ALWAYS loved how the background had the black tile squares. Made everyone stand out well.
That’s so cool! I bet you’re sad today I sure am
