This is the normal length cut of the opening stream. As I ended up developing almost all of the base planning and design choices for the entire run in THIS stream, I decided to also upload a 3 HOUR Extended Cut of this opening stream, featuring all the little development details for the hardcore factorio fans! It is available here: ua-cam.com/video/CnLDkqCQBA0/v-deo.html Thanks to DocJade for inspiring me to try this mod. It was a LOT of fun! If you want to see 2 COMPLETELY different approaches to this mod (seriously, the only thing DocJade and I have in common is that we both don't like to pave over our factories in concrete. And puns. LOTS of puns.), go check out DocJade's 2 part video here: ua-cam.com/video/ID_piIT4Qtw/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/_cjIrsz8DIs/v-deo.html
you can record the twitch overlay and gameplay footage in seperate layers or videos. i say this cuz there‘s a couple times you zoom in for emphasis, but a twitch feature blocks the view
That intro bit with the alien science threw me back, I remember playing into the endgame right around the same time it got removed, good times in the early days
I am just going to repeat what I said in the last video, but this reminds of a tumbler post about how scientists in media often aren’t part of a field, but are just ”science guys ready to do science!” (Quite literally in this case)
I ran the numbers, and indeed an individual science pack cost is nothing too crazy. Sattellite science pack 36 is roughly the same cost per science pack as yellow science. The main thing that makes the endgame so expensive, is that there are so many of those extra science packs + the vanilla science cost is not replaced but added to + the ludicrous 1000s of science pack cost of simply unlocking the later science packs.
In case you're serious and not sarcastic: the earlier video is over three hours long. This one is thirty minutes. Check the pinned comment for more details.

Having a secret code is absolutely genius
That intro bit with the alien science threw me back, I remember playing into the endgame right around the same time it got removed, good times in the early days
i cant wait to see you hand load all that different science
Lol
28:20 screenshotting this for future reference. That is beautiful Michael!

I enjoyed this mod, but for progression you really only need one or three crafters for each science pack to keep up with regular science.
Those endgame science packs aren't that expensive actually. You get 75 Effect transmission ones in one craft, and 200 from single satellite.

Thank's
3-hour version was too hard to keep track when I has fallen asleep.
36 science mod with randomized recipes when ?
Pinkman: "Yeah, science!"
This smells like a job for a sushi science belt. Or even more cursed, cars on the science belt.
cars on a belt is the best way to feed science to the labs. The problem here is cars are way down the tech tree...
I like secret codes
I watched the 3 hour extended cut, but I was tired and fell asleep during the second hour, so I'm here to see if I missed anything.
When you find a video code in the decription: LETS GOOOOOOOO!!!!
has it been removed or am I missing something?
@@Simon-qg2qn The code was in the description of the 3 hour video linking to this one early
but I already watched the full one... oh well, guess I'll watch this too x3
Secret codes are the best thing ever.😆
More like science gore. Oh no the science my pixels no.
I thought this came out yesterday am i living in the future

@@jakubtokarski5531 I don't think it is actually, I just rewatched the last video and Michael does say "next time" at the end.
No just delayed, I'm having some trouble with the editing process
