    THE video is taken with a Canon R6 in 4K / 50 images?
    If so I would like to know when you put the rush on your PC is it buggy or not, because I can't play my video on my PC with VLC and even with premiere pro

      The R5 does record in h265. If your system doesn’t have a h265 decoder you’ll have issues with the playback and will need to work with proxies

    Nice video! I would love to know how you made the fan for your R5!

    Great fan setup.
    Where can we find out about how you attached the fan and the red enclosure?
    very cool

    Why didn't you adjust your exposure to match? It seems you are comparing 2 video's with 2 different exposure values. Wouldn't you drop the clog3 exposure by one stop so you can compare apples to apples? This Video doesn't make me see the value in clog3. thoughts?

    Thanks you for tis helpful comparison. This is a shady / low light comparison and how do you think these compare in bright sun or overcast conditions mid day?

    Could you do a video on which settings to use for 4K 10bit 4:2:2 C-log 3 trough HDMI with the Atomos Ninja V? Because I'm getting weird results using Resolve 17, avoiding the "legalize" thing altogether. Resolve can switch between legal and full range, but the Ninja footage is more yellow.

      @AttiBear  3 роки тому

      Hey Rodrigo, someone else just reached out to me that they are also experiencing some sort of yellow color shift. I just checked my setup and I'm not getting any shift. Maybe it's firmware related. Mine are R5 1.3.1 & NinjaV 10.62.1 what are you on?

      @@AttiBear I did a thorough investigation on this hahaha I really did, and I found that if you apply the corresponding LUT or Color Space Transform to external footage supposedly recorded using Cinema Gamut with C-Log 3, it will look bad or yellow shifted, and can be fixed using the BT.2020 LUT or Rec.2020 color space in the Color Space Transform in Resolve. I guess HDMI only supports BT.2020, I recorded all available options in C-Log and C-Log 3 with all available color spaces and color matrix, internal and external footage, and imported the footage to Resolve to see the difference while applying Canon provided LUTs and Resolve CSTs to reach that conclusion, I wrote an article on that which includes all the sample footage:

    Thanks for the content. But I don’t agree that CLog3 is inherently brighter. Both can be adjusted to 90% or whatever your preference is. I believe then grading these two allows for better DR comparison.

    I recently purchased the ninja v+ plus. And to my dismay it can only record 8k prores raw and not normal 8k. Also it doesn’t allow you to record 4K 120. So if anyone is looking into the ninja v plus this is the limitation. I hope Canon can allow 4K recording in 120frms externally.

    • @AttiBear
      @AttiBear  3 роки тому

      I somehow doubt that 4k120 will ever be available with the R5 externally, cause the slowing down process happens in post. It's a good info that only 8K RAW recording is possible. Thank you for that.

    I need some advice about what is the best workflow (quickest, simple) for using while in a trip to review clips from the R5 (8K RAW and RAW Light, 4K).
    I'm using Macs (iMac 27" with High Sierra) and MacBook Pro with Mojave.
    I use the latest version of Cinema Raw Development (2.6.1).
    Also latest R5 firmware 1.3.1
    I can't find a way to just be able to achieve a smooth playback of clips recorded with the R5.
    Cinema Raw Development only see 8K RAW (not Raw light) clips and playback is not smooth. Also I can't change the rendering size in the Macbook Pro. But in the iMac I can (both have the same version of CRD) but even at 1/4 playback is not smooth.
    When I open the CRD a message appears saying "Sufficient memory cannot be allocated for development using the GPU. Will develop using the CPU".
    Don't understand why this message appears since:
    iMac:
    40GMB RAM
    AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4096 MB
    Macbook Pro:
    16GB RAM
    Radeon Pro 560X 4 GB
    Can someone share a solution, please?
    Thank you

    • @AttiBear
      @AttiBear  3 роки тому

      The solution is more simple than you think. Just buy a macbook with the M1 chip (ua-cam.com/video/Xj3wE-GnGBM/v-deo.html). Spoiler alert, thanks to it's hardware decoding it even obliterates my MacPro and plays back the 8K RAW Footage without even turning on the fans.

      @@AttiBear Thanks for the link. I'll sure take a look at it. Meanwhile I did bought a Macbook Pro 13" with M1 chip. It plays smooth (only in Quicktime) the 8K ALL-I and 4K ALL-I (both in 10 bits Clog/Clog3).
      But still have 2 problems to solve (maybe my mistake somewhere):
      1 - Since I'm shooting Clog/CLog3 the footage looks flat in Quicktime. I've tried to use Canon's Digital Photo Professional 4 because it as a very useful view LUT button (same function as the in camera View Assist function) but then the playback has small jumps, no smooth playback. Do you have a solution?
      2 - When I shoot in RAW Light (8K) the only software that Canon has (Cinema RAW Development) can't even see the files! It works fine with 8K regular RAW but not with RAW Light. Do you have experienced the same problem? Any workaround?
      Thank you very much for your help!

    Have you tried Clog3 on the NinjaV? I'm getting significantly more saturation on the NinjaV while the shadows an highlights stay almost the same.

    Hey! I stumbled upon your youtube channel and i love it! Your tips are gonna help me a lot! I was wondering if you can give me some advice, im going on a road trip in the US next year and i wanna document the experience by making a short movie. I was already planning on buying the DJI osmo 4. But i was also wondering if you could recommend some other attachments? I saw a lot of filters and lenses in your videos. Should i buy one of those for a higher quality? If so what would you recommend?

    • @AttiBear
      @AttiBear  3 роки тому

      Hey Colin, it highly depends on the look you are going for in your doc. First of all I'd opt for a VND and a PL filter. These will help you with overexposure and will yield nice shots near water surfaces. Apart from that you can work with different lenses to achieve certain looks. For example one of these ➡️ua-cam.com/video/cKYmVf5_8UU/v-deo.html

      I'm actually quite curious how well the C70 is doing sales wise. I think it's an amazing camera, but it somehow feels to much in between. What do you think?

    Awesome! Would using a Ninja external recorder display yields similar results?

    • @AttiBear
      @AttiBear  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Amédée, If you are using a Ninja, you can record indefinitely as long your environmental temperature stays around 24°C. I covered that here ➡️ ua-cam.com/video/1mU88twvPms/v-deo.html

      @@AttiBear wow, awesome!!! We're building a studio and I can start from scratch, I've used Fuji and Nikon and I was tempted to go with Canon, but the issues were so prevalent..... I couldn't make up my mind to get the Sony A1, because Canon glass is so superior.... This is the answer I need, we'll be able to control the environment, so this is perfect!! Thanks.... NO ONE mentions this, they all ditch the R5, but people like me want to know that you CAN shoot longer... Says a lot about the influencer stuff and UA-camr fast paced reviews.

    Good Stuff! How long can you record 4k30 HQ with your external fan on? and can the EOS R5 record 4K in RAW as well? Thanks

    • @AttiBear
      @AttiBear  3 роки тому +1

      4K30 HQ can be recorded indefinitely. 4K RAW unfortunately isn't supported on the EOS R5 only 8K RAW
