I believe if this song had been entered in competition for Eurovision, that the UK would have won with it... It's epic! Enjoying your reactions.

I've always been a huge STEPS fan. They were massive in the UK in the 90s/2000s & I'm so pleased that you even know about them, let alone appreciate them. They're GREAT & there'll always be a place for good cheesy pop.

One of my favourite songs of the last ten years.
Steps started in 97 with 5, 6, 7, 8. I think S Club 7 started in 99 with Bring It All Back. While they don't have any members in common, they produced very similar types of music.

Steps have been around since early 2000's but I just found out this group recently and I love them. Claire and Faye (the blonde girls) have the best voices IMO. Their music style sounds very swedish, I think.

Steps are so underrated. Adore them. What the future holds in their best album. Bangers and ballads and a mid tempo song called Father's eyes, their best song and unlike anything they've ever done 👌🔥❤️

As you like, and are interested in Steps I will give you some more information.
Steps's first song was a "Country Line Dance" (by "Country" I mean like American Country Music) song called "5,6,7,8" yes, the numbers "5,6,7,8" was the title of their song.
It is different to their others.
    It is here:
    ua-cam.com/video/4NO-h9PFum4/v-deo.html
After a few years Steps split up before reuniting.
During that time, Lisa (Dark Haired Woman) released a few singles.
This was one of them (Lately):
    ua-cam.com/video/PrGntWKJvME/v-deo.html
H (Blonde Man) and Claire (One of the Blonde Women) became a Duo and released an album.
They did not have any real success as a duo.
This was the main single from that album (DJ):
    ua-cam.com/video/YDarDDps_LA/v-deo.html
A rival group to Steps, based on them was created because of a songwriting trio bust up.
That group was Scooch. Nowadays Scooch is infamous (yes I do mean infamous) for their comic/parody Eurovision song "Flying the Flag" but their original music were normal songs like Steps's music.
They did not have much success as people preferred Steps.
Music By Them (Before they did the Eurovision):

More than I Needed To Know: ua-cam.com/video/YLncxyCXPsU/v-deo.html
Their Infamous Joke/Spoof Eurovision Song(Flying the Flag). This is all they are remembered for now:

(Explanation of the Songwriting Trio Bust up. Stock/Aitken/Waterman (the real surnames of the trio) were a world famous British songwriting production trio. They practically dominated the 80s with their music and were as popular in the 80s here as Motown was in the 60.
Before S/A/W were famous they even produced a Eurovision entry for Cyprus. This believe it or not was the S/A/W produced Eurovision entry from 1984:
    ua-cam.com/video/-xnUr1pgNiI/v-deo.html
They had a huge bust up over Waterman's decision to sell music they had produced for their record label to another label and other things.
Waterman went on to produce Steps. Aitken and Waterman created Scooch to spite Waterman after Steps were getting some success.
Several years later, Stock and Waterman ended their feud and worked together on the 2010 Eurovision Entry "That Sounds Good To Me" which came last.
That is here for info only:
    ua-cam.com/video/BLiL-tRxhkE/v-deo.html
Many years later there were doccumentaries about Stock/Aitken/Waterman, particular relating to one of their most famous acts, Kylie Minogue, who is still producing music today, but nowadays without S/A/W. These documentaries were about how at the time nobody wanted to release any music by her at all and S/A/W tried unsuccessfully to get other record companies to publish her music.
As no other record label would give her a chance they set up their own record label to release her music because noone else would give her a chance. The first song they released by her involving them (SAW) went straight to number 1, making the other record labels look really silly.
That is here(I Should Be So Lucky):
    ua-cam.com/video/3_TvpBwSZDM/v-deo.html
After documentaries along these lines etc Kylie decided to get them all back together again, after their feud so they could be friends again.
She asked all three of the Stock/Aitken/Waterman team to reform specially a special remix version of a Christmas song of hers.
That remix version, remixed by Stock/Aitken/Waterman is here, but it is audio only.
Kylie said she wanted S/A/W to do a special remix so it would sound as if it had been done in the 80s.
This was amazing for people as nobody thought Stock/Aitken/Waterman would ever work together again.
    ua-cam.com/video/b2_HFWUVznI/v-deo.html
Non SAW original version with music video (both versions were released) :
    ua-cam.com/video/f37t3m7W-NA/v-deo.html
I think she did it as a present for them to try to get them to be friends again or something like that as she feels she owes her entire singing career to them as they were the only ones that really gave her a chance and believed in her.
Kylie is one of the longest lasting singers in the pop world and is still releasing new music.
Before being known as a singer, Kylie was most famous as a soap actress in Neighbours.
She also acted as the main female character in the Doctor Who Christmas special "Voyage of the Damned" based on the Titanic story:
    ua-cam.com/video/fKEbG34auGs/v-deo.html
Fair disclosure about Kylie. Kylie's first ever release was a cover version of "The Locomotion" which she released in Australia. Later she did a version of it with S/A/W.
However after she did "The Locomotion" in Australia, that version of which S/A/W had nothing to do with at all, no company wanted to release any more music by her, except S/A/W themselves (see above). That is why I say she feels she owes her entire singing career to them as she released lots of S/A/W tracks and albums.
A recent tune by Kylie based on 70s music from her current album "Disco" which is based on 70s music. ( A sort of mix of 70s music and modern dance beats).
    Say Something: ua-cam.com/video/27gkT9YZYFk/v-deo.html
To Miss A Thing (Audio Only): ua-cam.com/video/u3YTvJhi7kw/v-deo.html
I realise most of this has nothing to do with Steps but it helps to give you some background info of the origins of their music.

One more thing about SAW. You may have heard of the "Rickrolling" prank phenomina. S/A/W wrote and produced the Rickroll song "Never Gonna Give You Up". It has nearly one billion yes billion youtube views: ua-cam.com/video/dQw4w9WgXcQ/v-deo.html

One more comment about S/A/W (see above). This was a song produced by S/A/W before they became famous, for Drag act "Divine". Most people have never heard of this song but if you are curious about early influences this should give you an indication: ua-cam.com/video/063RGou-P_8/v-deo.html
