What I love about Guy is that he doesn’t need a lot of backing to sound good. His voice is pitch perfect accompanied only by a piano or a guitar.
Guy Sebastian is one of the greatest contemporary artists in Australia. Super talented song writer and singer and a genuinely nice guy. I followed him all the way through Australian Idol in 2003 and still do. He deserves heaps of recognition and accolades and I wish him all the best. We have some wonderful talent here. So glad you discovered him ☺

I believe Guy Sebastian is one of the best singers on the planet, he can sing anything and has brought me to tears many a time with his singing. He really stood out way over everyone else on Australia's got Talent. He's really underrated though.

From memory, in an interview Guy did he said this song was about how there's always more artists to compete with, more pressure to keep producing hits, and the worry that one day it might not be enough. But he is determined that they'll know his name before he goes (before he stops performing/producing albums etc). 💜
Guy's an awesome musician and songwriter as well as one of the best singers on the planet. Also I’ve seen a few versions of this song and each one is different because Guy is continually improvising. I’m still trying to figure out why he’s not a huge international star..

Guy Sebastian travelled to America to collab with a lot of greats in the blues genre called the Memphis album. Probably find it on Spotify or apple music.

He was collaborating with, amongst others, Steve Cropper from Booker T & the MGs on the Memphis Album and has worked with Smokey Robinson. Referring to a previous comment, I don't think Danii Minogue and other has beens would have reached those heights. Steve Cropper backed artists like Otis Redding and Sam & Dave, so I believe he'd recognise talent when he saw it.

I’ve been lucky enough to see Guy perform live and have tickets to his show next year. One of the best concerts I have been to. His voice is phenomenal and the emotion can he can admit is unreal. He had majority of the audience in tears at one point I swear! It still makes no sense to me how he hasn’t made it international yet.

This was the first performance I had ever seen of Guy Sebastian's...needless to say he is my favorite vocalist of all time.
I will attach a couple of links for you to watch for your personal enjoyment. 1- is a link to a song he done on tour, where he played ALL of the instruments, and done all of the vocals himself.
The other is an after party from a thing they do around Christmas for their foundation ( he is a huge advocate for mental health) his bff Luke, who lost his life to suicide, and inspired the song Choir (watch the ARIA live performance), is playing with him.
The entire set is random musicians/singers just jammin, but Guy does Black & Gold and the cadence that literally comes out of his body is crazy...AND when he goes to the "guest" mic to let someone else sing on his mic, he motions saying he wish he had a tambourine, and then just proceeds to use his voice to duplicate the sound... CRAZYYYYYY
