Just bought one used. Its on tight side warm with that engl mids thing. For sure e530 with this PA sounds bigger than iron ball. Too bad its no longer in production.
ENGL amps Does the gain switch need to be disengaged when using a preamp with the power amp? I have an E840/50 I use with my Axe-Fx II. The gain switched in overdrives the input when using it with the Axe-FX II. I normally use it switched out. Is this the correct way to run it?

Need to know what pickup is in the bridge?! Anyone know?
How does the 810 compare to the the 840 amp?
Less loud, less headroom
a preamp is not being used here?
+modcraft13 at 3:27 it is.
+airixxxx sounds very good and beefy. I found a used randall rt2/50 instead. good tube flexibility
