- Today, we're taking a look at an early LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog set, the new Shadow's Escape set! This is set will be releasing on December 1st exclusively at LEGO Stores and Shop @ Home, but later everywhere on January 1st, 2024!

I hope Sonic will be a long lasting line. Having a Shadow minifigure is already cool but now I also want a Super Shadow, various stages of Chaos, Cream and Cheese, Chaotix and so much more.
I hope it gets a much sets as the mario line and many many minifigures across different timelines and games.
I just want them to be faithful to the games and not another knuckles mech-alike set

Can we just appreciate LEGO for putting arguably the most popular and demanded Sonic character besides Sonic himself in such a cheap set? Good on them for that. Not a big Shadow fan myself but I will be picking this up to support the line as I really want to see more of it.

This set is actually really cool. I love that new head mold for shadow, and the price is actually ok. I would love to see knuckles and super sonic in future sets, and maybe even another ideas like set with maybe SS zone or something. Great video!

@@Ashnflash Even the price doesn't feel that bad considering you're getting more than a Star Wars battle pack that's the same price. The KO Shadow was pretty good for the time but that motorcycle is 🔥🔥

This is definitely my favorite Sonic Lego set because Shadow is my favorite character but I wish his motorcycle had a little more detail and was a little bit bigger/longer
Would've made it oversized but small details would be great.

Shadow's bike is actually the Dark Rider which first appeared in Shadow 05 and Sonic 06!
I'm kinda mad it's coming out early in the US and nowhere else, y'all get it a whole month before everyone else
Finally i don't have to make a custom shadow anymore!
I am really impressed at how good the build is. Not too big and not too small (okay maybe a little small) but the thing I’m most impressed with is the shadow fig they managed to get it so correct and the paint doesn’t look like garbage it’s extremely accurate definitely a set I’m gonna buy with 👍👍
For $20 it's worth it though

The symbols, and print like I mentioned are the wrong way. I looked it up and there’s parts here that should have been silver.
Accuracy is not exactly a concern here.
I hope the Sonic Line lasts forever. I just got this set and lemme just say This is just fantastic.

That's crazy I bought one at my local Walmart for Christmas, and it didn't come with paper bags. I was super surprised to see it in a small little lego mini section they had set up, I went there like 3 days in a row they were untouched and I was like I gotta get this before anyone notices, next time I came back they were all gone 😂

My N1 Starfighter and jurassic park jeep set came with paper bags
I looked at unboxing videos for both N1 Starfighters and saw plastic bags. The Jurassic Park sets and a Disney 100 set did have paper bags. But they all still had plastic as well.
This set is using only the new numbered bags that can stand up and have the perforation at the top. Which to my knowledge is a first.

With the third Sonic movie coming out next year (It will have Shadow), this set is going to make bank for LEGO and SEGA! I mean, there are a WHOLE lot of Shadow fans out there, and I'm sure they're going to make sure they never restock!

Im kinda mixed with the paper bags since im more of a complete set collector and i fear the bags might rip because of sharp pieces and spill the pieces in the set which sounds very uncomfortable as a collector.
I have no doubt they are thick enough and that was a concern during the process of moving to paper :)

The only thing that i don't like about this set is that shadow sits way to high on the motor bike
Correct me if I’m wrong, but is that the Canadian version of it or is that the American version because on the back of the box it says not for sale for some reason on it and the American versions still uses the plastic wrapping except for that version, which is the paper version

Yes, unfortunately the only way to get it was to buy the Tower. And I think they ran out within a day

This actually makes sense because shadow is actually a lab experiment created by Eggman I think I don't really know who created him but I like the idea of him attempting to escape the lab that he was created in and this makes me think what's next for Lego Sonic personally I'd love to see some other cool Sonic characters like Blaze the Cat or even Cream the Rabbit
He's created by Gerald Robotnik (that's Eggman's grandfather)

Also with the shadow symbol you could probably just turn it 180 and it would be in the right orientation
Glad paper bags are finally here! They said they didn’t want to rush it like other companies, and they wanted them to be perfect.
The tile will never be the right orientation. It’s not possible.
@@Ashnflash it’s two of the exact same print right? So even though they wouldn’t be facing the same direction on the bike, looking at it from either side the symbol would still be the same, I’m pretty sure it’s meant to be like that

This set I could already tell Is gonna be very popular due to shadow being a fan favorite character by fans and the Community and i can't wait to get my hands on it. Oh and i'm definitely gonna get Brickarms Guns You can't have shadow without his Guns.

Thank god his eyes are straight unlike the sonic from the other sets. Hard to explain but the eyes on sonic are too far apart compared to dimensions version
