If you have PCOS you should ABSOLUTELY NOT do laser hair removal. It literally just activates more hair growth. Our hair is hormonal - to stop hair growth you need to go on spironolactone or something similar and get electrolysis.
Everyone is different. I have PCOS and got prescribed with Spironolactone. It did not work for me and soon I will be getting laser treatments so my facial hair will never come back.
But skin care products do help with hyperpigmentation. The hair may make your upper lip appear darker and that cannot go away due to skin care products.

Here in Florida there is essentially no requirements to operate lasers at our med spas. So they really push lazer as it is a cash service. It reminds me of estheticians, who continuously push the old wives tale that waxing facial hair is the best option, when actually waxing facial hair in hormonal areas brings blood and nutrients to the surface, creating thicker and stronger follicles, and that’s not to mention the hyperpigmentation that can last after waxing, especially for women of color. Just no morals you know? So I really appreciate you being honest about all the risks.

Not true I have had laser done and have had wonderful results.

Laser was the best decision for me. My face is definitely smoother and my hyperpigmentation cleared up naturally.
